I'm getting tired of these scammy plugins that just use the term AI to sell it.

It doesn't seem scammy, it is exactly what it says. It uses machine learning to add "impact" which is some sort of transient design and clipping.

I'm very skeptical of the term "AI" nowadays. quite often software could use some pretty old algorithms and formulas that have been around for years but now it's labelled as "AI" and it's not even machine learning. it's just a corporate buzzword

AI is best used to 'get you started', where then a human can take over a little closer to their goal; boiler plate stuff. You are exactly right that they are using it wrong to not allow you to tweak the 'black box' controls.

This is just a thought, I haven't tried this plugin but from what I saw in the beginning when the text was being read, my take on this is that this is to be used on single tracks (to help a certain instrument cut through the mix), not on THE whole mix. I think the reason why nothing much is being achieved here is because nothing in particular is being process against the rest of the mix if it makes sense

I don't know, this just feels like a useless plugin. It adds attack, ok great but you can do that with a transient designer, that will also do the same amount every time rather than it being too dynamic with AI.

I agree entirely with you regarding the fundamental problem of AI plugins in music: they are not creative, they merely push towards the average (generic).

These plugins do what they say. AI Clarity does a great job and is often much more natural than Soothe or the like.

I don't know if the KZbin algorithms are mucking about with things, and I don't know if YOU can hear any effect at all at your end, which is the source. But here on a Mac running into a pair of Bose speakers I couldn't hear ANY effect at all. Seems to be a completely useless plugin, AI or no AI.

To be fair, a plug-in wich is apparently designed to help certain tracks cut through the mix shouldn’t do much to nothing on a full mix. So this “review” doesn’t make any sense, but it’s a “AI” plug-in and therefore should burn in hell anyways.

well it's nice to have a subtle plugin for once. But to my ears this one is just an envelope follower / transient modulator. I don't see any AI here. A non-neural algorithm can learn and operate like this. NEXT

Thanks to this channel, I learned how 90% of plugins are BS. I recommend everyone listen for the basics like eq filters , compression and saturation before they buy a plugin, use plugin doctor and see what it actually does to the sound. For this video...All I heard was a slight bit of compression and saturation.

Sonible is the best one. I purchased their EQ and compressor and waiting for prices to drop on their reverb. People seriously need to consider Sonbile lineup. (And they don't pay or sponsor me to say that). They have good products people should seriously consider.

Downloaded it, tried it and deleted it because it's not worth the money they want. These singles always come as a gift when purchasing the plugin. The problem is that there are no tools to work out the signal. It's kind of like Sonble-Pure, but even Pure has a couple of tools to work through. There's nothing in this.

I'm 'old school' (1980s) and back then it was a good ear and skill that made good recordings, not "This Plugin Will Make Your Crap Sound Amazing!" BS. I like your approach - this plugin didn't do anything of value for you so it rightly belongs in the garbage, like many others, and more to come. The Sonible plugin, while clearly better, still only might have done what a skilled engineer would do. I use AI daily, but carefully, and I agree that it runs the risk of removing the need to listen, try your own ideas, learn, and actually work on becoming a good engineer. Such a loss of skill for the AI generation would be tragic, and - yes - everything will sound the same!

I would not call it AI at all. And what should "machine learnig" be meaning!? All a machine can do is collecting data. It can not learn a thing. ;-) As you said AI is not experimenting or trying thing out.... BTW the term AI is not working to make me wanna buy a thing...it is only keeping me away from it.
