Hey Chase, glad to see you're finally playing Elden Ring. Hardest Boss I ever fought was the DLC's final boss, The "Promised Consort". He took me 8.5 hours to beat.😤 Anyway here some tips/ game mechanics I think will help. 1. Don't jump to avoid attacks, Dodge Rolling has invincibility frames, meaning if timed correctly, you can avoid all damage from any attack, including fire/explosions. 2. Hold [TRIANGLE] + [L1] or [R1] to hold a weapon with both hands, this does more damage based on your strength. also different animations. 3. The game autosaves like every 5 seconds so don't worry about saves. 4. Play the game online, you can see other players comments and hints that can lead to secret areas. 5. Rolling into attacks is often better, it allows you to attack faster before they recover. don't be afraid of the pocket, get in it. 6. If an enemy is much bigger than you, get close to them. At mid-range, they have the advantage, also at close-range many attacks will swing past you.

Some attacks are meant to be jumped. Simply saying "dont jump to avoid attacks" is just flat out wrong. Some moves in the game are designed around jumping them, and in fact jumping some attacks is way easier than dodging as your dodge window isnt long enough to dodge the attack easily with your roll. When you jump in elden ring everything below your waist becomes an as well (essentially your legs lose their hit box). A good example early game, of when to jump would be against Godricks ground slams, jumping is by far the optimal way to dodge the attack but there are probably hundreds of attacks in the game that are designed around jumping in order to dodge, especially in the DLC and mid to late game. Instead of saying "dont jump to avoid attacks" you should say "Learn which attacks *should* be jumped and then jump to avoid *those* attacks".

General tips for Chase: 1.areas that is in a cave that leads immediately to a grace point is usually considered optional--so you can do it to level up and get unique items, but its not need to beat the game. 2. Don't worry so much about making the perfect build, because you can completely re-spec your character later to try out things that look cool. 3. Have fun, use what you want to use, and if the game gets too hard go somewhere else or level up--the game is only as hard as you make it. If some can beat the game on level 1 you can beat it with anything. 4. Cheese is good, but use it as a last resort, bc it feels better to beat boss on your own terms.5. Weapon upgrading: there are 2 types of weapons when it some to upgrading: those that use smiting stones and those those that use sombering smithing stones. Sombering smithing stone weapons have only 1 Art of War that cannot be changed, while smithing stone weapons have arts of war that can be changed, and can also what type of damage you deal (bleed, poison, etc).

I remember asking for this a while back and it’s finally here. Chase just understand your going to get cooked a lot you will get better as u go on and learn the mechanics more as it can feel a bit weird at first. Dodging into enemies is the most reliable way to avoid enemy attacks and make sure u get your vigor/health up.

Chase I know of 2 farm spots. One by the beast clergymen where you can get a boulder to roll off a cliff that infinitely respawns. Theres also a really good one but you have to teleport to the lord of bloods area first which involves finding a dude who gives you a badge or something, then you have to invade 3 people(win or lose doesn't matter), then he gives you another thing that takes tou there but it is a high level area. Once you get there theres a cliff side where you have 2 options. Either shoot a bow at the bird and it will run off the edge or kill all the people sitting on the cliff.

Chase what I would recommend is try getting some rune farm spots so you can level up your character I’m pretty sure early in the game the best spot for you is the boulder farm sport there’s multiple tutorials on KZbin on how to get there and since it looks like you’re a bleed/melee build the main stats you need to focus on is vigor,dexterity,arcane (Main stat) and a little endurance don’t worry about the other stats and also once you get a certain stat to lvl 80 you don’t need to upgrade it anymore
