I absolutely love these talks... They are extremely informative. I know nothing of Islam outside of what "someone says." I am old and know well enough that in the USA, a lot of someones are not truthful with their statements and some are simply ignorant but assume authority by their "presentation" of someone's assumptions..... THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! And I wish you must success in your lives together!!!!

You guys are an amazing couple. Love your interactions. Keep on being that loving and chill with each other. I agree with you regarding not following a specific madhab. By doing so you are already accepting another's interpretation of Islam. My thing is just read and take things for face value. I also agree with your stance on when people say a certain thing is haram. It's based on their views. Annoying isn't it. Keep on making these informative videos that also show how great Islam is. I pray my relationship is as pleasant as yours. Much respect!
@hajerhaha87816 жыл бұрын
I half agree. Face value? You should study islam as allah wants us to. And a mathab has historically made a huge (positive ) impact on the lives of Muslims in the area's . Like im north african we have maliki. This means that there is an understanding (broad one) which makes big misunderstandings/disagreements less. (Study it) And following a mathab does not mean you cannot accept another interpetation . (Although I get amirs point) Like in africa you have coloured dresses. If you wear this in saudi arabia then you stand out (which is not the best hijab). So all methabs are right and they all agree on the important issues.
@hajiay8266 жыл бұрын
No specific Madhab should be followed....take that which is authentic from the sunnah and follow the Quran...simple. ALL of this “based on their views” things should make you feel the need to research and prove them wrong.

Nothing wrong with cornrows. From ancient Egypt till the era of Africa colonisation by the Europeans, cornrows were worn by both boys and girls in Black Africa often till after their early adulthood for boys. The fallacy that men don't wear cornrows came from the colonial 'standards' set but the Europeans colonisers. In fact, if anything the Africans Americans/Europeans are simply reviving what were the norms in African before colonisation. Beside why should Amir look like or do things like an Arab to be 'accepted' as Muslim? I have cornrows myself and I went to study Islam in Egypt for 3 years, were I met knowledgeable Islamic scholars and yet never my physical appearance or dress code came to be questioned. When I specifically asked my sheikh, he replied: ' It is your culture. Islam encompasses all cultures. Besides, I never mistaken you for a woman nor have you ever reminded me of a woman'. Keep it up guys, you are doing just fine!

I enjoyed this a lot! Also one of the frustrating things about being an African American Muslim is that people assume not only that you are a revert but that you are part of the NOI. The only Islam I follow is the Islam that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the Sahabah followed, that's it.

@ZAINABHAIDERRIZVI6 жыл бұрын
Salaam! I just wanted to say something about the last comment, at the time of the Prophet P.B.U.H in Arabia, it was the norm for men to have hair that fell down to their shoulders. And so the Prophet of Allah P.B.U.H had hair at a length that men nowadays don't usually have, and it is mainly a female thing. So, for someone to say today that having shoulder length hair for men is haram, would make no sense because RasoolAllah s.a.w.w had shoulder length hair. This is just purely culture, and Islam is very very open to culture as long as it does not aid in disobedience to Allah s.w.t and in causing disunity in the community. The varying cultures is what is so beautiful about Islam; that it can accomodate so much diversity within its unification of humanity. That is just so beautiful. May Allah bless you!

The woman in the video didn't specifically say her dad put a loaded gun to her head but her husband said that her father wasn't going to come around because he is stuck in his ways. So I would think it was her father who put a loaded gun to her head and asked her if she wanted to marry her now husband. It made me think of you guys and you'lls story and how beautiful it is, that you'lls parents were the ones actually championing you'lls union. And yes you'll are both black / African Americans but even with that, there is problems of colorism. God bless you and your parents for who they are and their open hearts.

If she was dark skin like him or from Sudan, Somalia or another country within African country then they would Not look like an Interraciall mixed couple, they would like two same race/skin color couple. Sort of like if a Japanese marries a Korean, they are still both the same skin tone and both are Asians or a Mexican marries a person from Peru or Paraguay they are both Latinos, but from two different Latin countries.

As Salaamu Alaikum... growing your hair is not the issue which ppl confuse... the Prophet (saw) grew his hair but he did not let it go past his shoulders... there are instances where his hair was braided but it was for journeys to help prevent dirt build up. Also it was braided in 4, two braids on either side of his head, you cud see his ear between the 2 braids. The topic of wudhu and ghusl also comes up. As you are not able to perform either properly with hair braided. So it wud have to be undone every time u make wudhu or ghusl. And we make it known the same does not go for women because as we kno the Prophet (saw) made concession for women. And the undoing of hair for every wudhu or ghsul wud cause hardship for women. So in this aspect i feel this why other countries you don’t see men with long hair because of the difficulties it wud cause to them in having to constantly braid and unbraid the hair. Other things we should look at wud be whether it is (a) imitating women in style or length, or (b) imitating non-Muslims in a style that is specifically attributed to them, or (c) imitating a hairstyle that is immediately understood to be characteristic of sinful people. However, beyond mere permissibility, one should look towards the customs and culture of the land they live in to see how braids are seen by the society. So i feel it is just better to leave ur hair short and manageable not only is it easier but you are also making sure wat you are doing is pleasing to Allah (swt). But this is my opinion, i may be right i may be wrong... Allah (swt) knows best. Pray you two have continued success... ameen 🤗

I don't understand the difference between born or convert, and we should know that all the friends of the mohamed were convert and they were better than us, as born.
@111Prince1116 жыл бұрын
how don't you understand the difference when you just made the concept born and convert different in your statement?
@CryptoSom6 жыл бұрын
111Prince111 there's no difference except when they're are New those who convert don't have any sin but others do. So I hope you should understand what I meant.
@111Prince1116 жыл бұрын
The fact is that there is a complete difference. Individuals born Muslim have a different perspective and experience with Islam vs individuals who convert. Sure we are all Muslim, no question, but no one can deny the difference in the dynamics of the Islamic experience. It is impossible to argue that there is no difference, then give an example of how there is a difference in the same statement.
@CryptoSom6 жыл бұрын
Maybe you don't understand what I am trying to say. First we are all Muslim that's means we are same. Second I am trying to tell that there are convert who are very educated then born experience whatever, all what I am trying to say is that if you compare them it doesn't make any sane because all Muslims are covert at the first place. If you think born are better then that's wrong, my argument is there's no one better then the other one covert or born. Us a Muslims we believe that when I person became Muslim in that moment he/ she is no sin, but after that we do sin which makes them same as born because as born when we were children we ware no sin but later on we do. So you can say it's little different but no the way most as think or believe. Allah knows the best.
