7:06 that glasses crosshair is my favourite. as an iron 3, i dropped 37 kills, 13 deaths (in unrated) and there were higher levels than me (im only lvl 40) not only that, i got a 4k twice (nearly did a 1v5 ace, but got killed by the last person who was in a corner) and i did a 1v4 clutch before i used that crosshair, i used to do really badly but now my crosshair placement is really good and i keep getting headshots

Minor rant about valorant inbound First i need to preface that i wanted to be a game dev when i was younger, when i was around 8 or so i knew thats what i wanted to do, i went to college still with that dream and the only reason i am not in university currently is because i am training to join the army. I was interested in making a game like csgo that would ultimately surpass it, this entire plan was detailed all the way down to making a service better than steam to support the success of my csgo usurper. With that in mind, it shouldnt come as a surprise that im worryingly well inclined about game development. First i want to address the boosting thing and then im going to move onto valorant itself, why its bad, how it can be better. (even though none of the changes i suggest will ever be put in motion and ill explain why after) First, boosting. Valorants ranking system is what id call a feel good system. Ive heard a lot of players say something along the lines of "youre level 200 but only silver?", that is to suggest that, the higher your rank the higher rank you should be. At the surface level this sounds very logical, the more you play the better you should be, right? People easily forget that we are limited. Were not all 16, i say this as a 20 year old but, i wanted to go pro in csgo, id play for 6 hours a day when i was a young teen, i got to global elite faceit 9, climbing to faceit 10 before i quit, if i went back now id probably be sat down at master guardian elite because i simply do not have the time to put in to get the consistency down. With the way valorants ranking system works, all you need to climb any one rank is a 51% winrate, which is honestly laughable. Then theres the fact that the algorithm values strange things like first bloods, theres no unique taloring to each role which puts forward the picture that every sage you ever come across should be playing like grim- point is the way valorant is set up with roles suits the whole model of, having a 51% winrate means youll move up, but the roles contradict that. Before anyone puts forward the argument that roles dont impact your kills, of course they do. valorant is at its heart the abilities, not the gunplay. I can easily go 30 and 10 on reyna consistently but i can go anywhere from 25 and 11 to 13 and 20 on sage, having consistency in gunplay is one thing but when characters impact your consistency, there is a problem with your game especially when youre trying to push it as being competitive Of course, this issue could be entirely circumvented by offering multipliers based on what AGENT you play. I say agent because you will never convince me sage and chamber fit into the same group, they just dont. I shouldnt need to say all this when theres legitimately a whole rank known as the "boosted rank" which is ascendant. again calling back to csgo, if i want to be boosted i need a full team of 5. Whilst i like that valorant lets you climb solo, it is so easy that you can have a person who should be iron up in silver or gold, you can have golds in ascendant etc, hell ive seen some radiants acting like platinums before and that ultimately comes down to how easy it is to climb. TLDR of this segment, the ranking system needs a complete overhaul. Justice for sage mains, put in literally any ranking system that wont let you rank up indefinitely so long as you have a 51% winrate. Next, gunplay. let me crack all the bones in my body for this one, because this is one of if not the only reason people actively dislike valorant and return to csgo. Valorant puts an emphasis on its "precise gunplay" which is pretty ironic considering the ghost, a precision pistol has a higher first bullet inaccuracy multiplier than the frenzy. a machine pistol. That is to say that the frenzy is better at doing what the ghost is designed to do and the ghost is better at doing what the frenzy is designed to do. Make that make sense. Next onto the phantom and the vandal. The vandal is quite clearly designed for longer range gunfights, for that "precise gunplay" whilst the phantom is blatantly there to try and lure in unsuspecting victims from csgos community given its very forgiving spray pattern. Despite this, the phantom has a lower first bullet innaccuracy multiplier than the phantom. That is to say, its more accurate than the gun that is desgined with "precise gunplay" in mind. Now, the part that keeps CSGO players away from valorant is the spray patterns. Some might not know this but after a few bullets, the spray becomes completely random. Im not sure if this is truly to encourage "precise gunplay" or whether it was to avoid a potential lawsuit from valve. Either way, its clearly there to differenciate itself from csgo but ultimately its what holds valorant back. The amount of times ive took a fight and thought "i won that if the spray wasnt rng" is heinous. Before i get a comment about how i should just "aim for the head", the gunplay is also boring because of the emphasis on aiming for the head, why are any guns beyond the guardian and sheriff in the game if thats how you want to play, truth is some of the best momments in csgo esports history are clips of people switching between tapping people out and spraying people down with unmatched muscle memory and precision, that is a level of hype valorant will never reach because it limits itself. TLDR, spray pattern randomisation shouldnt be an identity, literal rng gunplay will never be a good idea, this massively holds valorant back in the world of esports. finally. m a p s. (no not pedos) there is no nice way to put this. valorant maps are impressively bad. When you look at valorant maps, you see a mess. when you look at csgo maps you see something that looks relatively simple. Yet, csgo maps are incredibly complex. both valorant and csgo players will know what commonly heald angles are. The glaring difference between cs and valorant maps are that on sites, there are numerous points of entry, all of which have a number of viable angles to be heald from. In csgo these work in such a way that clutching or watching a clutch will have your heart in your throat. In valorant its genuinely not that deep, you have 2 doors to watch, relax. In all seriousness though this is again something that holds valorant back massively, the maps are just, tiny which is strange considering how big valorant feels with abilities flying everywhere. If the maps were bigger in the right ways, valorant would feel leaps and bounds better than it does, it wouldnt feel like ability spam despite the abundance of abilities. Now finally, i want to cover the map changes made to pearl recently. Map sidedness is a big thing in valorant, in csgo map sidedness only really exists in low elo and it goes based off whether you prefer the M4 or the AK, it isnt the map itself. In valorant however, the majority of maps tend to lean one way or the other and now, pearl leans massively in the side of the attackers imo. Its easier for them to control mid and thus control the game which, obviously isnt good. Going back to the prior point, excluding the rotates to B and A, there are only two points of contention for defenders, that is to say it is boarderline impossible for defenders to control mid effectively or take control of mid at all should there be even one attacker present. They removed a lot of spots where people could lurk which, likely has something to do with their "precise gunplay" model, but ultimately it makes the game boring. Can you imagine how plain, how lifeless future maps will be if they follow this path? they will just be lanes with no nucks nor crannies, no angles to be heald. Thats where valorant is heading because the community complains about lurkers when the simple solution ironically is, precise gunplay. check your corners ESPECIALLY when you know someone on the enemy team lurks. Ironically valorants most hated map, fracture gives the community exactly what they want. Zero opportunity for lurkers. Yet they cry about. Food for thought and some advice from a would be dev to any future dev reading this. A majority isnt always right. Just because someone has a complaint doesnt make it valid, judge it for yourself, consider the opinions of your community but never be directly influenced or feel obligated because of them.

The "diamond" player is really only plat on his main, and plat is equivalent to gold a couple acts ago, and the rest are golds who are equivalent to silver a few acts ago. That's my explanation.

There’s actually NO ACTUAL WAY that the Reyna was the Diamond-Player… he was HORRIBLE. He didn’t use his utlity that well, his aim was completely awful, made me think that he was secrelty an Iron, his reaction-time wasn’t that good and he just didn’t play good at all overall.
