Thank you for reviewing this and for your comments. When religion is a personal matter and makes you a better human being then I have no issues with it. However, when it is weaponized and used for power and control or targeted against others who are different, this is when it is evil. I've tutored refugees from other countries who were forced to flee due to religious persecution and the horrors I've heard are unspeakable. Now, I'm potentially facing the same thing in my own country.

Terrible images... Not sure what to think about this... But I completely understand, as a parent, how you feel about this. Becoming a father changes so many things in us... For example, there's a scene from the film "the impossible" (about the 2004 tsunami in Thailand) in which the mother and her 10-year-old son survive the wave, but the current is still terribly strong and deadly. And then, the mother sees a 4-year-old child trapped between 2 tree branches... Her son tells her: "Mom, don't go! We've got to save ourselves!" And the mother tearfully replies to her son: "I'm sorry!" And she goes to save the boy. This scene was an eye-opener for me, because my eldest was 4 at the time I saw the film, and I thought it was crazy, because in this situation, I said to myself that at 10, I would have thought EXACTLY like the child in the scene in the film. I would have thought: we shouldn't risk dying to save someone we don't know! But on the other hand, at my age, as a parent, in this situation I would have reacted 100% like the mother: it's impossible to leave a 4-year-old in mortal danger without reacting. It's just not possible...
