Hi Marc, a binding brake calliper means there is crap behind the seal in the calliper. You can get a calliper kit, that comes with a new seal and a new piston. You can pump the piston out by pressing the pedal a few times when the calliper is off the pads. Need someone to pump the pedal. Then clamp the brake hose with mole grips and remove the seal and clean the groove it sits in. Rubber grease the seal and put it all back together. If you have a compressor you could blow the piston out with an air line on the bench. Or you can buy a new calliper .....hope that helps .......there will be loads of YT vids on this cheers !

Gas and electricity will always be more expensive here in England cos we stupidly sold it all to private companies whose whole ethos is to make as much money for their shareholders as possible. Just a thought
@kathyeyesopen40789 ай бұрын
you have that completely correct. Privatizing any utility, banks, or pretty much anything will get you screwed. They all push it like it’s the best idea ever but really it’s just some rich guys in suits who will make other rich guys richer and the people pay more in a very short period of time. NEVER go for any suggestions of privatizing. We in the USA are finding this out the hard way😅

In 2023 France was top power exporter in Europe: 50.1 TWh. On January 3, 2024 France broke its export record with 20.3 GW of peak power exported (20.3 GW is 3 times the power produced by all British nuclear power plants: 6.5 GW). French power is almost completely carbon-free by eliminating 95% of gas, coal and fuel oil in electricity production.

Thanks for the video Marc. Love the withering put down to the negative comment. England has become very expensive. Electricity, gas and petrol - quick to increase in price -takes years to go back down. Prescriptions in England £9.65 for 6 tablets, in Lithuania (where I am on holiday) 28 tablets for 4 euros or £3.28. I think we are having the Mikey taken out of us but wouldn't live anywhere else (except France or perhaps Thailand).

Hi Marc, I enjoy your videos . Just a quick comment on your Irish Passport . I have one as do all my family and extended family since Brexit. I consider Brexit a mistake that has achieved nothing and was the result of inadequate information being given to the voters on the consequences of exiting the EU but I respect the peoples choice in this matter and we now have to get on with it. A point many people may not be aware of is that Ireland had a referendum many years ago on our membership of the EU and the initial referendum produced a result that would had it been implemented removed us from the EU, but the government went and informed the Irish people on the consequences of leaving the EU. It was debated by our elected politicians with their electorate in their constituencies and the overall feeling from the population now that they felt better informed was that the referendum should be held a second time and that whatever the outcome on the second occasion that result would stand and no other vote would be held on this matter. Thankfully the result of the first vote was massively overturned and Ireland is not a member of the EU . My family consider themselves British and their loyalty is to Britain which I consider a wonderful country despite some people having a view to the contrary and I'm not surprised so many migrants are making such desperate attempts to get here but we do have a benevolent view of Ireland. Your Irish passport allows you unlimited travel and residency in any EU country and the entitlements to the the same care afforded to that country's population within which you are resident . To end on hopefully a cheerful note Ireland allows British people unlimited movement and stay in Ireland without any visa as does the Uk allow the same condition to Irish citizens coming to the Uk.

Love today's video. Here in USA we have state controlled electric and they can charge whatever they want$$$$. I think you should put up a big windmill in your yard and provide electric for you and your neighbors. 😂 then add solar panels with a "go fund me page". Enjoyed your comments.😊
@kathyeyesopen40789 ай бұрын
At least with the state controlling utility pricing there are rules & oversite, also increases must be justified. If it goes private like some states here, then the rich owners make themselves and their buddies richer, increase at will, and the rest of us poorer with No options.

I have a Variable rate Mortgage and in all the years when Interest rates were low, I never once got a letter asking if I wanted a Fixed Rate Mortgage. After the Interests Rates spiked in the UK to around 6% I started getting letters asking of I would like to swap to a fixed rate Mortgage. The Banks know that the rate will start to come down eventually and want to tie you in to a higher rate to improve their profits. we have weathered the storm and are waiting for Interest rates to start falling. The electricity company may know that regulators will be lowering the Cap on the price per Kwh and want to tie you in to a higher rate. I may be completely wrong, but I feel these companies place their shareholders interests way ahead of the consumers interests !

As far as I know, the reason the electricity price goes up at the end of the year is because the electricity price in EU is tied to the fuel prices for the generation of said power. As we start using more gas/oil for heating, those prices goes up due to higher demand, resulting in a higher price per kWh.

Price per kWh in Ireland is around 0,35 excluding standing charges, VAT etc.etc. It's utterly disgraceful how much profit these energycompanies have reported during this era of hyperinflation. And it's obvious why. The irrational fear of nuclear power makes little sense. It's the only non-emission option that doesn't kill millions of people per year due to pollution. Please keep in mind that burning coal instead of using nuclear power makes zero sense. Massive emissions vs steam. Seriously. Some steam. With todays technology nuclear power is incredibly safe and the storage of wastematerials really is quite well taken care off. Whatever misgivings one has, it really is the only option that doesn't completely destroy our planet. And keep in mind that the two major incidents at Fukushima and Chernobyl were caused by an earthquake, human error and flawed designs. Very tragic incidents without any doubt, but compared to the millions of deaths caused by burning coal, we ought to re-consider bringing back safe nuclear power plants. Because the need for electricity will increase tenfold in the next few decades. Anyone interested in a balanced view of this issue should watch Oliver Stone's 'Nuclear Now' documentary where the logical argument is very well explained without pushing some kind of agenda. I think therein lies the issue....'agenda's', propaganda, NGO's and activists have completely hijacked the narrative. Have you even witnessed the complete destruction of wildlife cause by one windturbine? You'll be shocked by how much land and concrete it take and how much loss of nature each and everyone of these monstrosities causes. 'Green' energy is a myth unfortunately. We must overcome this disgusting age of division, social media rage/click bait, hysteria and propaganda. Because the time/money/energy should be spent at an independent and neutral commity that truly calculates the pro's and con's of all available sources of energy rather than green party hysteria, electionmeddling, propaganda and fear-p*rn and by simply blaming people for breathing, consuming, eating and existing. This anti-human agenda is very nasty and it's not the first time that very wealthy elites have convinced themselves they are better than everyone else and that the planet should only have about 500 million people. Surely people have heard of the Club of Rome, the Limits to Growth and more recently, about the WEF calling people 'useless eaters'. Depopulation is not a conspiracytheory at all, it's very much desired by these extremely wealthy elites that control the media, intelligence, finance and industry.

Depends what you're lubing 😂. That looks very much like red rubber grease, for parts in contact with rubber, it doesn't degrade the rubber like some mineral greases. So it's good around brake piston seals etc, but I'm not sure about temperature tolerance specs? Maybe you've got it covered now, just adding my thoughts.

Good work on the Irish passport. How long did it take roughly to acquire? I think with the Passport, you will be allowed to pass on the rights to your son, which is what I'd get one for now, to pass on those rights to my children. And the way things are going in the UK we may well all up sticks and move to France. It's getting really worrying here. God only knows what the future will bring.

I would like to give you some advice. Don’t call viewer personally out. It’s doing nothing because the person you addressed will not change his or her mind. I get it, it’s upsetting when someone says hurtful things but it comes with the territory. But it gives the impression that you are very vulnerable. … and commenting with low life and other insulting comments from your side make me very uncomfortable. If you are going down the lane being on the same level like the people who are insulting you, it is not pleasant to watch. Tip: ignore them, delete the comments or write a private message.
@GoingsoloinFrance9 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment / advice.. Firstly, I am vulnerable. I am autistic and I have ADHD, I live in the middle of nowhere in a foreign land where I do not speak the language and I know no one. My YT channel is my 'social outlet'. I am me, I am honest, I can be blunt, I have no desire to have a large YT channel or following. Subscriber numbers mean nothing to me. I upload videos purely as a video diary exercise. I really don't care who watches. I only care that if and when they comment that they are polite. I have no tolerance for rudeness or negativity, I have enough going on without dealing with people being unable to control their egos and emotions when they pick up their keyboard and start typing a pointless and unkind message to me. I will always point out bad behaviour. I'm far from perfect and I have much to learn about this awful social media world that we no live in. I do this by choice but the positives have to outweigh the negatives. I am concentrating on making better videos for the viewers that appreciate my honesty. As I have said in my videos, I do intend to ignore most of the negativity, I have blocked hundreds of viewers from leaving comments. I am happy with the 100 or so viewers that are genuinely interested and support my journey. Thanks again. Bonne journee - Marc :-)
