What a fantastic tutorial with some really great advice, delivered in easy to understand commentary! I appreciated the note about making a tonal sketch, something I rarely do and definitely should do more often! I also loved your tips about composition and the value of having different edges within the composition.

@@RobertMeeArtist watching a few in a row haha! I love this style but every single one I've tried has ended in the bin. I think I was attempting things above my skill level. I love that you've simplified this for us and your finished works look amazing.

First video I've watched that's helped me understand the real benefit of a thumbnail. Great vids, keep them coming please. Can I just ask what your colours are please? I've been reducing the amount in my pallete and I think we should a similar enough selection.

I’ve been reading about Counterchange in a Ron Ranson book. It seems that you would have to invent this effect in a scene, since it might be hard find in reference photos.

Quite often as artists we must move things and edit the scene in front of us.

I’m new to watercolour and been doing small formats, what you call thumbnail. Now I have to jump into the bigger format. I’m using too many colours and not enough water. Thanks for the tips. ❤
