I have speedrun the game a few times. My best is 1:09:13. I honestly don’t think I could be a top level speedruner because I would have to get sub hour which is insanely hard.

About right when I land in the water I throw cappy and then do a cappy dive. Then I do an upthrow and and time a jump when cappy returns to me so I can make it up to the platform.
