Hey I want to thank you for using the Post Office for your ebay business, I am a mail carrier of 13 years. We appreciate all our ebayers. We are required to scan a barcode when a package pick-up comes through and fill out how many we actually picked up. So if you or anyone you know is having issues with our package pickup please call your local post office and let them know. We pride ourselves on this feature. Please also keep in mind you must have your package pick up orders done the day before, they will not be printed out day of. Thank you for your amazing videos which I watch daily and your business. -13 year rural mail carrier Cambridge MD

I had the post office pick up, no problems, but I like to get out and especially with the gals at Jensen Drive Station in H-town. They are all awesome and put up with me and my twin brothers BS. LOL. I love them all. I just wish the customers would learn to park and not take handicap parking from people that need it. The Hadley store is just the opposite, grouchy unprofessional people. Especially the Vietnamese and old black lady that talks down to customers. I complained about them and nothing was done, because a few fellow ebay sellers say they still talk down to them if they take more than 3 and don't have a scan sheet. They do not realize, we print out a label, then may do another one later, and another later. We do not all wait to do at one time, this causes confusion.

If you want free boxes, hit up a Walmart at night time when they're doing all the stocking. Ask one of the stockers if you can have their boxes.
@spaladon5 жыл бұрын
True, I work in a large retailer, we have tons of boxes. If you come in in the evening, a few hours before the store is closing ~6pm just ask a manager, if the boxes can be repurposed that's awesome, just don't ask if you can use them for moving house if the store sells moving boxes hahaha

John, I love seeing this side of reselling! You should do more of these where you show what sold and and your process of shipping/ listing and taking inventory of product/ showing how to ship, kind of like Lonnie! Love the videos man, keep up the good content!

Love the video!!! I think one thing others don’t get that work 9-5 is resellers are alone most of the day without coworkers. Which can be good and bad. I miss just chatting , lunch, and that with others but I love having my own schedule. You will love it when your kids are a bit older. You’ll be able to be at every school activity. It’s the best!!!

As a collector and occasional buyer of model trains, it's best to sell train sets complete versus by the piece. Many collectors like to seek out the whole set with a box even if the box is in fair condition. This also goes for a lot of the O gauge train pieces like Lionel or Marx. A boxed piece will have more value than a loose piece. You might want to keep this as future tip when finding these items. Also, here's another tip on O gauge trains. Individual track pieces don't sell very well due to new track availability. If you find just a box of straight or curved O gauge tracks (excluding crossing pieces or switches), it may be best to pass on it due its low return on profit unless there is some other interesting pieces in the box.

I sell items on ebay as my side job and it has been very profitable. I get my boxes and wrapping paper from my local hobby lobby every Thursday. Its been a nice little income every month. All the money I make goes into my savings account. Every little bit adds up over time. I get most of my merchandise from yard sales, goodwill, dumpster diving, roadside trash from neiborhoods.

Hey John. I use the yard sale app. I optimize my route on the app itself. Didn’t know if you knew you could or not. The only downside is it has limited options. For instance, creating your last destination. if i want the app to route me from my house, to the sales and back to my house, I actually have to be AT my house. I don’t think there is a custom destination option. Just throwing that out there. Enjoying the videos! Keep it up!

6:15 it depends if you have a carrier. If so, they sometimes will leave the packages at the house instead of carrying them around with them until they get back to the truck. If so, they will then drive to your house and pick them up. Sometimes they forget... and others just don't care to pick them up because again, they have to carry them until they get back to the truck.

Hello!I have recently acquired my friends book business of around 60+/- BOXES that I agreed to sell for her family as she took her own life about a year back. I currently have about 31 books posted, 16 sold and 8 unsold, with a few hundred dollars made that I send straight to her family. I haven't ever sold much online, and don't know diddly-squat about books so I was HOPING you and your fan base here could toss a few pointers my way so I can successfully continue on her business at least through the selling of every box, and maybe continue on my own sales if I chose to do so at the end of all this... Thank you so much for your time and videos ❤from Colorado, Sarah

You are a brave man shipping glass without packing peanuts, i have had some really bad luck back years ago shipping glass items wrapped in padded wrap or bubble wrap, I always use a good layer of bubble wrap and then packing peanuts for the void area, on large glass items i use that method plus double box. But for that item it might not mater because its Pyrex lol, Pyrex it tough. I keep telling people one of the biggest expenses for lots of resellers is boxes/packing materials, thats why i get lots of stuff for free specially boxes and air pillows. Great video pretty typical life of a reseller haha thanks for sharing
