I remember when I was a teen standing on the corner with my friends listening to this song on my transistor radio. Listening to my favorite DJ, Jerry Blavat, The Geator with the Heater from Philly.. Doo Wop at its best.

One of my all time favorite songs. Amazing talent of Mr Eugene Pitt and the fabulous Jive Five. I’ve been telling ppl about doo Wop for years, and some have tried to get me to stop listening. Ha! I know what the good stuff is! So glad to see a new generation appreciating this and other marvelous music. Keep going. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

I'm from that generation and we used to listen to the boys in our neighborhood sing. They did it in the hallways because the acoustics were great. Those days it was called "harmonizing." Just like you've seen, I'm sure, in movies and such, boys outside in the old neighborhoods practicing their singing. And it was all done "acapella" - no instruments just their pure voices, straight up. And if you couldn't carry a tune you were not singing. Those were the days!!!!
