During Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Eddie Compass was the police chief of New Orleans who ordered the police to go door to door and confiscate firearms from law abiding citizens which was in violation of the Second Amendment. After that, he was forced to resign in shame. His disgraced boss Mayor Ray Nagin wound up going to prison. Furthermore, during the infamous 1992 Los Angeles Riots, the police were ordered to abandon Koreatown to the hordes of rioters, looters and arsonists. This was because Police Chief Daryl Gates refused to risk the lives and safety of police to protect that part of the city. Consequently the Koreans had to use their own firearms & ammunition to protect themselves and their property from invading gangs of rioters, looters and arsonists who pillaged and burned businesses and homes. Gun fighting raged on the streets as well as shooting from the rooftops. Ironically the motto of the Los Angeles Police Department says "To Protect and to Serve" which they failed to do.

If/when Martial Law is declared, it suspends Constitutional Rights. No laws in effect. Many of the firearms owning public, will go from a defensive posture to an offensive posture. Taking guns will be a matter of attrition. The Government may want to think twice about how many firearms are in the hands of US citizens.

And then they are supposed to be immediately bringing said person and evidence seized immediately before said judge and a jury to be tried in a public trial.if a law is contrary to the constitution of the united states of America a Marshall has no legal lawful constitutional authority or jurisdiction to enforce it period. Congress are all state officials and therefore prohibited from doing so under the 14th amendment section 1 therefore Marshalls have no legal lawful authority or jurisdiction to enforce any form of gun laws whatsoever anywhere in the united states of America period. A marshall only has legal authority to enforce constitutional laws passed by Congress.

Where in the Constitution does it even empower ANY government the right to declare Marshal Law? IT DOESN'T. Limitations: Martial law is subject to constitutional limitations and review by federal courts. The Posse Comitatus Act (1878) prohibits federal troops from enforcing domestic law, except in cases of insurrection or rebellion, as specified in the Insurrection Act. Therefore Marshal Law is unconstitutional, illegal, and unlawful. Those enforcing Marshal Law are classified as domestic ENEMIES. Act accordingly.

To my American friends, all you need to do is look north to your neighbours. Here in Canada, Trudeau and his minions is doing his worst to eventually seize anything that goes “bang” under the guise of public safety. The reason why it will fail has nothing to do with property rights or a Second Amendment (which we don’t have either in Canada), but has everything to do with the logistics of a national confiscation. Simply it’s just too many guns and too few minions to make it so. Our previous government had scrapped the long gun registry because it was too costly and was useless. The cops only know where our restricted and prohibited firearms are, but non-restricted is a mystery. Our latest bunch of “assault-style firearms” (made up term meaning anything that LOOKS scary) were made prohibited, but included mostly non-restricted like the GSG-16 22 caliber plinkster. In order to give the appearance that something is being done, the RCMP sent out a bulk e-mail to each and every licensed firearm owner, giving them directions on how to comply with this new Order-In-Counsel (similar to your Executive Order). They simply don’t have the resources to go door to door to force you to comply. This government will pass into history soon, but not soon enough. Hopefully the madness will end for a while and things will return to normal. A gun confiscation might be able to be accomplished in a limited and localized manner, but impossible on a national scale. The only way something like that can be done is to have compliant citizens voluntarily surrender all of their firearms…and that’s about as likely as pigs flying. It seems that the two biggest enemies of firearms are 1) rust and 2) politicians . We can use oil to prevent the former, but the latter is a little more difficult.

Do you know the difference between the words martial and marshal? Although the terms share the same Latin root, MARTIAL means the military while MARSHAL is a type of civilian law enforcement appointed to serve a state or federal court. I could see the government issuing such an order. Door to door confiscation would be too much of a nightmare in most cases. I could see them issuing an order to turn in your firearms to local law enforcement or face charges if you are found to be in possession of a firearm, regardless if it's legal or not. I think they might order police to go to the homes of CCW permits holders, search their homes, and confiscate firearms. Police in liberal states and cities would go along with it. People in rural areas, including law enforcement tend to be pro second amendment so they would likely refuse to comply with the government

Interesting video, if you want to know how MOST people would respond just look back to the Covid era many people lost their livelihood and capitulated to the government. I saw many tough guys in cool t shirts with masks trying to stay 6 feet away. My point is that it’s easy to talk tough but much harder to be tough. This is compounded by a family. I believe that if martial law is on a national scale that the government and law enforcement will call upon legal armed citizens to assist in the security of our nation. If they are too stupid for that, screw them and they will lose at least a third of their own that won’t go against the people of the U.S.A.
