This is What I Found at the Back of Bangkok's Largest Scrapyard of Heavy Metal

A quick break from the Isaan roadtrip videos. I took my son to visit this huge scrapyard of choppers, boats, missiles, military vehicles and the like somewhere in Bangkok, Thailand. Since my last visit, thousands of tonnes have been moved or sold but I think i know where to. However, there is still loads of cool stuff here including a new addition: a Thai Airways plane right at the back of the property!
And here's the thing............. EVERYTHING is for sale! I met the owner and I have his business card! If you are interested in anything, get in contact and I will put you in touch.

The three of us just got back from a few days at the beach. Jacob and I are planning daytrips or a roadtrip soon as I have a load of work coming up from mid-September. We're just trying to decide where to go. He's at the age where he's up for going anywhere but he doesn't know where he wants to go hehe. Yeah, very sketchy. 🙏✌🙏

I am wondering how they got that plane into that location. Would love to see more of Thailand's war history.

My guess is the wings were removed and the body was in two sections..... but the gateway and the road in is quite narrow. I know a few war stories from here (WW2) but it's something I'd like to look into more mate.

Higly unlikely they got that there by road, i must have come by boat on the water right next to it

It 100% got there by road..... the water behind is a local fishing pond. No water sources go anywhere near there at all.

Why would you move an aircraft to a scrapyard and stick the wings back on. The aircraft was previously located at Coffee War 331 Station, 333 Phulu Ta Luang, Sattahip District, Chon Buri 20180, Thailand.

There is a yard full of military hardware near Pattaya on the way to Sattahip you should visit it saw a nice Helicopter but engine missing

Interesting place, gave me a good saturday morning quest to locate it on Google Earth (it's not in the ring road as you claimed). Unfortunately my next visit to Bangkok is already to busy to go for a visit there, so I'm happy for the videos of it.

Why did they store the plane after only 10 years and then scrap it after being stored for 8 years? Did it have some major issues or was it damaged beyond repair at some point?

I wouldn't like to specifically speculate here as to why but, in this part of the world, new things are often ordered en masse and the old things discarded.....

The M35 Maintenance trucks look in good condition so to does the armourd car.

The mind boggles Jimmy…just how did some of that stuff end up there or even get there? Who buys it? How much? Had some happy times in scrap yards, I remember finding a mint condition instrument pod for a 1960’s car that only had that particular instrument pod for 1 year. I guess sometimes it’s worth looking. It does make me wonder just what is still hidden away on private land Karl. There seem to be a lot of plane coffee shops and restaurants springing up (and a broccoli shop). I'd love to be able to do up one of the old army trucks and travel Thailand in it.

those engines with propellers had jet engines at the back so they are turboprops!

My friend worked on demolition team after Vietnam war in Thailand. We promised to leave All the airports we built for Vietnam war to Thailand. My friends team destroyed them ALL!

Every base that the US helped build is still open. None were destroyed. Utapao, udon, udorn, takhki, korat, chaing mai, they all still exist. RTAF and navy still use them

There are loads around. You don't see any for ages and then one pops up in an unexpected place. You are talking about Sattahip, right? There's a few planes there too mate.
