The cops have done us proud. They are humble and speak properly. Confirms why education for cops should be a priority to ensure that they handle everyone respectably. The more educated a cop is, the higher the chances that they'll treat you better. Speaking from personal experiences. Motorists should learn to respect cyclists. They usually bully them. As a horn of africa guy myself, I discovered Kenya through the eyes of Kino . I was mad at kino when he had a road accident and was moaning along the way and called nairobi as nairobbery ! The Irony in here is that Kenya turned out to be the most civilized, most compassionate country of all. I hope Ethiopia to be like this. Even in here at the private guess house i would have said the computer said no and refused to entertain but compassionate kenyan save the day. I thanks this channel which i am leaning Africa through the trial and tribulation of Kino. I am not planning to visit Kenya but i wish that country and its people the best. He is pretty negative tho. I do like him, but he does have a rather negative mindset. As he said, he is motivating himself to push further by thinking of the positive of the next country, but also on the negatives on the one where he is at that very moment, which may be interpreted as optimism but he actually resides in misery with that mindset being reminded all the time of where he currently is. Just as an example. This is not to be taken as an offense.

The biggest lesson i have learned from watching your video is the need for mental and psych reset. This is derived from your philosophy of looking for a negative vibe in order to prepare psychologically for the next (unknown) territory . In Kenya your negative vibe was the bumps but it doesn't erase good vibes Kenya offered .

Kenya is indeed a special place. My visit there in 1997 is one of the most memorable experiences in my life. Thank you to Alice Njoki and Emma Mutoni who guided me around Nairobi. And I must say thank you to Jacob too! Wonderful people whose kindness will forever bring back fond memories.

Yves, one thing about you is, you are a "people-based" or "people-driven" traveller. You went round Kenya for 1 or 2 months, without once venturing near its top typical tourist attraction areas: the Coast & the Maasai Mara. You went off the beaten path, but engaged with lots of citizens in their daily life. Not to mean you don't enjoy scenic locations too. You had a ball at that Iten viewpoint ("This is life!" you even said). But it's really engaging with people that gives you a buzz. That's a positive feature you have. And that you are using it to bring the world to the world, is great. It allows your viewers to travel to different countries & cultures, and meet the people there through your eyes. That is a great service to mutual understanding among peoples. All the best in the rest of your African journey.
