THIS IS WHAT IT IS LIKE TO STAY AT ASHFORD CASTLE! OUR FAVORITE HOTEL IN IRELAND!

We stayed there in 2022 and it was great. I would call it six-star hotel but they only go up to five stars. Food and service were phenomenal. I was able to hear a live band play old Irish favorites there (the pubs in Dubin all played rock). Horseback riding, tennis, golf, and falconry! We will go back. Great video!

Right next to ashford castle is the village of cong absolutely beautiful its where the film the quiet man with john wayne and maureen ohara was made i stayed there for a weeks fishing for salmon at the old monks hut fantastic week went into the castle grounds and it is as beautiful as they say

my sister and brother in law was just ther in September. they spent 2 weeks in Ireland 🇮🇪. they had also stayed in this exact castle 🏰 ... can you please let me know if you both had experienced anything unusual ? They spent one night there ... 😂😂.. they had quite an interesting experience I'll just say that .😅 hope you enjoyed your trip ... very beautiful country !!

@@yawahomes they stayed at this exact location. I'm sorry I had said the wrong castle 🏰 it was the one that had the old castle that burned down years ago, but still has the old one attached to the newer version of the castle 🏰. I do apologize for the mix up ..

Archery was not really a thing in medieval ireland outside castles,inside castles you had arrow slits where the archer could not miss if he tried so your archery was probably better than most irish medieval archers.The irish used the sling more than the bow in open battle
