The way Yolenta describes reading is so beautiful. It IS miracle. Reading ancient texts, stories, poetry and comedy, it hits different once it really sinks in that it's thousands of year of knowledge being passed down to you. The coolest part is that people back then weren't all that different from us. They lived very different lives, but they're still people just like us, with the same feelings, joys and sorrows. It's very eye-opening. One of my favorite quotes that just brings me to tears is found on the grave of a dog that lived 2000+ years ago in the Roman empire, the inscription on the grave said: "I am in tears carrying you to your last resting place As much as I rejoiced when bringing you home in my own hands, fifteen years ago."

Venus is actually typically the brightest 'star' in the sky. It's very easy to see on most nights even in towns and suburban cities

Appreciate the honesty at the end discussion where you guys say that normally you'd probably not watch shows like these without another person with you. I like the honesty of whenever y'all don't enjoy a show or something, because it makes your reactions seem way more genuine.

22:12 - To be fair, do not mistake astrology with an L to astronomy with an N. Astrology is basically pseudoscience about how planets and stars affect human behavior, it's not real. The whole retrograde thing is the planet appearing to move backwards, it was thought that it moving backwards had an effect on how people born under at a certain time would behave or how their future would be, but we know now that the retrograde motion is just the planet circling around the Sun same as we on Earth also go around the Sun. Astronomy is the actual science about how planets and Stars move. It's physics.

Reading is a miracle, I couldn't agree more with those words! So right that this show doesn't work without the fantastic writers and director working on it.

I like how this series is able do a great job with characters in a pretty short amount of time. The character writing is potent for the short duration.

The greatest thing about this show is to stop and think what if everything that we think we know now is also completely wrong and backwards? We could still essentially be thinking of life in a heliocentric model when in fact the world in reality we are experiencing could be something completely incomprehensible to us for decades or hundreds of years to come. Imagine if we just discovered time travel in like 2 years or we confirm in the next 5 years that every time you go to sleep and wake up you're in a different world with just slight variations like the Mandela effect or something😂

12:05 I've been in debates that lasted hours only to then realise that I had it wrong from the start

Jolenta is very relatable for me. Once my interest is piqued, I cannot be stopped. I _have_ to know. I can see Venus from my apartment now, but part of that is because I have glasses. I can't see a damn thing otherwise. I feel ya babe. 16:39 This is why I watch reactions. I don't have anyone else to talk about them with so I live vicariously through others. I hear points of view that differ from mine, I discover things I didn't notice on my own. 18:01 This whole discussion about reading and what it does for you, I love it.
