When I read the title, I was expecting the rexes to waste all their stamina chasing you, friendly fire, no z-walking, and a lot of 1-calling. While watching the video I was confused, thinking: "These rexes are really patient. Certainly not your average rexes" and then they combat logged, and it all made sense.

Wanted to say the same about combat logging -__- I had it one time I was hunting a (not fully grown) shant, bit it once and it ran into the water to safelog -__- It was on a server where you may not get into water whilst being hunted and combat logging is a basic 'not allowed' -__-

I dont know if anyone knew this, but uh, tip for dilo mains or people that wanna start playing dilo - 10 bites on a rex gives it 100 bleed (standing) so get about 4-7 bites in and keep it standing. If it sits down get the rest of the 10 bites in Rex ambush is faster than dilo run, but dilos have better turn radius. What I sometimes do as dilo is i bait them into ambushing me, turn and get behind them while theyre using their ambush, and before they know whats going on im already getting the 10 bites in Sunrise is the darkest time in the isle, sunset the second darkest (for V3), I usually wait until dusk or dawn to start hunting If you are better suited to hunting at night, but you wanna be COMPLETELY invisible, there are a couple of skins that are a complete blindspot in NV. The skin is full diablo 5, if you choose this skin (all slots as DIABLO 5, not male), you'll be barely visible in NV (if your in grass) You dont have to be on their legs to hit them, you can hit them from their tail (around the middle), as shown in the video, if you do decide to ride them at their legs, pLEASE for the love of god dont leave the ride while its turning, theres certain spots in the rex's hitbox that can get you while its turning and your trying to get out of the ride more to be added

I get it i totally do because it takes ages to grow an apex (6 hrs ish) but if apexes become well... "unkillable" for anything non-apex, then The Isle will just be even worse than it already is with 50%+ of the population being apexes. If they decided to make it so that apexes can't be killed by nothing but apexes then u can forget everything about anything that isn't Rex, Giga, Spino, Pue, Cama, Shantung, Trike... so on. Then what would the point be in having so many different creatures if none of them are viable? Besides, most of the time any apex shitbox will just kill you even if you are a fair distance away.

As a Dilo main, I feel your pain too. I was once playing on a non-alt-turn server with my Dilo and managed to solo 3 adult Rexes and 1 Sub ( I killed one of them and they kept contesting for the body after each one of them died), then out of nowhere 2 other Sub Rexes come and bite me with 3 ADULT REX BODIES AND A SUB BODY WITHOUT CONTESTING. I managed to survive one bite and fought back but then they headed into. . . the water? One of them eventually bled out but the other came and killed me when I was out of stamina due to the fight earlier. . . Why are apexes like this? Luckily, they got temporarily banned and the other Sub-Rex actually got permanently banned because he had like 3 temporary bans before and was playing while banned. (This happened a while ago back then before skins were added, I don't remember what server it was.)

Ive had similar things happen to me as well, i was once hunting a pair of gigas and when one of the gigas got low hp he combat logged as the other healthier giga gaurded him during his timer, then a few minutes later as i was fighting his friend an unusually friendly towards the giga rex appeared and managed to kill me. I assume the first giga had an alt account and jumped on that to use his rex to kill me

Keep it in mind that to grow a Rex will take you fucking 7 hours. To grow a dilo takes you one and a half. and this is how useless the Rex againts small dinos. Combat logging is meh yea, but i can understand the Rexes frustration on here.

Keep it in mind that a rex will 1 shot any dilo or utah which in turn need 10 to perhaps almost 100 bites to even harm the rex. Also, keep it mind that a good rex who knows how to play the game can usually defend itself and knows how to use it's horribly broken hitboxes against tailriders. Of course the game is broken but we learn how to deal with it. If you can't handle skilled combat, stay on officials and keep to your ballerina spam biting strategy when anything comes near you. Though I promise you it won't keep you safe either.

Tbh I get why combat logging is present so often in the isle. You play a boring ass afk simulator for hours and hours and hours not doing anything because you'd be at the mercy of any player bigger than you that is 80% of the time an asshole and will kill you just to then make it to the end but your Apex is a walking piece of garbage that cannot turn. I personally haven't logged yet because I never have a buddy to protect me so I physically can't but I get why people feel bullshitted and don't want their progress deleted

Rexes seem to always do this with dilos. on Isla Nycta we had a dilo pack taking on a rex and it safe logged, and on every other server it happens also. Never utahs, but always dilos.

And Logging to save your rex on Isla Nycta while in battle will actually have it slayed by the admins, and almost everyone has full knowledge of that. So even then his rex was probably slayed by an admin, which he had a better chance just facing a pack of dilos where he literally just had to kill 1 to survive.

There are plenty of servers to play on, but by going to a semi-realism you have to accept that there are rules and failure to comply can have your dino slain. Some people play on semi realism to prevent rexes logging when their bleeding, and Rexes have to comply with that. Some people play because of the body drop rule, and if a fight breaks out and a body drops, they need to comply to that rule. If they didn't like the rule, then grow a rex on another server. Absolutely no one is forcing you to play these servers.

8:50 The Isle hit box, hit detection, and official server performance are all terrible. I showed a vid to a friend and he asked if I was playing on a Chinese or Russian server (near 500 ping). Even when ping is decent hit is still very random. Path of Titans already has collision in their latest update. The Island has more dinos, but PoT is shaping up better and seems to have a more focused developer.

Games quite fun but yeah tail riding apex seems silly to me I'm fine with not being able to take a healthy apex out unless it's broken its legs or hurt severely it needs better physics and collision so if your running through a dino you dont just nip and then get off with speed while they try turn the t rex tail was enormously powerful muscle and would have been used to cover it's back end from stuff like that as is I know they are annoying but just feel 6 hrs to have a dilo fuck you up is a tad annoying most of the game is an afk sim or tree squatting adventure anyway its skill that really counts in combat but realistically why sit there for 20 mins getting nipped by a dilo XD

This video is actually showing why I dint play as a Rex and trike. They are just to slow to fight even 1 dilo or Utah. You grow it it dominate, but then a fucking Dilo comes and you starve. @@ramrm7162 The point I was making is why split hairs over realism for a scifi horror/survival game. We want to talk food chain, there should be far more herbi to carni players and very few of those should be apex. But because the game currently spoon feeds you ai so you can hide in a bush for 6 hours until you actually matter.

Everything be talking about the Rex playing unfairly, and your right but imagine being that Rex after waiting to grow it and 2 calling them and giving respect them proceeding to almost die :/ and yes, that was a dumb and annoying move, but like sticky is right there so really they prob got banned or got punished somehow In other words they messed up and most likely paid for it
