Absolutely stellar video showcasing an absolutely stellar maker. Deylan and his crew make the best production knives in the game and its great to have such a well put together insight into the process of how each of these knives are made. Many people really have no idea how much insane work and cost and time goes into making these beauties and why they cost what they do. Worth every cent

Nah 7.5 million lines of code has singlehandedly sent me into an absolute existential spiral as a CS student. I was expecting to learn a lot from this video but I was not expecting THAT. SO that code is auto generated by our softwware. Theres still a ton of work involved in making the software spit out the lines of code but it was not done by hand :) we tell the software how to move the machine and cut the material then it spits all those instructions into code the machine can read, aka the 7.5m lines

I need to get a machinewise product for myself now 😅 On a side note, would you consider doing another review on the konig? NRB made a V2 that fixes a lot of problems it used to have It’s not currently in stock as we speak but I’ve heard NRB comes in stock every couple of months or so I trust your guys opinion above most else and would love to see a video on it 💛

Very cool info. But I do have a question. Why harden before cutting? if you harden afterwards then you can run the tools faster and they last longer. Just curious as I have made a blade or two and normally don't harden until the end. Yes I have to clean them up afterwards but it still makes them easier to grind. And yes I use stock removal too only use a belt grinder.

Fantastic video and insight! Sorry I'm late but I do have one question that wasn't covered: what's the smell? Not sure if anyone else noticed but everything I've gotten direct from MW has like a very specific incense-like smell - not that I'm complaining in anyway I'm just curious. Also I believe NRB also has a pretty distinct smell when getting direct. Maybe I'm just crazy but I swear if you blind-folded me and let me open direct-from-factory balis, I can guarantee you I can pick out which one is MW from the smell alone lol

The balisong market honestly isnt bad with price=build quality/service/material. Now the knife market in general used to be a problem like *ahem microtech*. But with more people doing startups on top of the huge advances in having utilities/tools/machines like smaller bench size CNC machines, 3d printers. Competition has really pushed prices down to where they should be.
@dr.fishman2342
@dr.fishman2342 Жыл бұрын
As somebody who does cnc work, I can tell you that it is not as complicated as it seems. The main thing that is hard is just making things perfect and not screwing up your toolpath because if you are lazy the cut will be very so slightly jagged which could ruin the whole piece, and 7 million lines of code is yes a big number but the machine should run through them in at least an hour or two.(Assuming because my machine does)
