It's honestly a smaller facility than I expected, super cool to get a BTS look at how they do things at Squid. Would love to see you tour more places to give us a peek behind the balisongs we all love so much.

So true, I work at a large metal machining shop in the Netherlands that makes anything from cranes to rocket parts but the machines are familiar just alot smaller at squid

This is the exact video I've been dreaming of seeing. I wanted to get Business Insider to do an episode called "Why are Butterfly Knives so expensive?" and they'd give a tour of a factory. Really tho this was awesome to see and hope you branch out to other knife makers as well like BRS or hell maybe even Atropos

BRS doesnt even make their own products, they send designs out to a third party machine shop which does all the actual hard work.

@@pietanicev1044 thats not even my point. My point is if you want a factory tour of BRS, youre not gonna get much other than a desk. Precision Plus Manufacturing is the one that does their machining and assembly as well, im not even sure BRS touches their own products anymore LOL.

I wanna thank SI and Will for changing my life. I've always been a flipper, from pencils, to pens, to scissors. When i discovered balis, I loved em, but they never would "flow" how I wanted..... Until I tried a Triton..... now I own a Squddy, Triton v2, and Nautilus v2. Couldn't be happier

I could tell this was the Bay Area just by looking at the exterior design of the commercial building. Turns out they are in Fremont. Its amazing how certain places have a unique look that you can identify immediately with almost no information if youre from there.

Unrelated to this video, but I would love to hear about how you practice new tricks. Do you start with a trainer? When do you switch to a live blade? Is there a certain area or set up you use when your first starting and dropping a lot? Do you have any special ways to approach a new trick, like breaking it down into smaller pieces or learning similar easier tricks first?
