Very few artists are in the "please don't imitate" category. Bob Marley is one of those. Despite that, Kingsley Ben-Adir does the impossible... he's spectacular as Bob Marley. Not to be outdone, Lashana Lynch is award-worthy as Rita and BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE is clearly the first great film of 2024.

I totally understand. I LOVED the movie so much that I watched it several times, however, I didn’t fully understand all the characters in the movie other than Bob and Rita and the children. Only when I read Rita’s book “No Woman No Cry” and his mother, Cedella Booker’s book “My Son Bob Marley.” Then when I watched the movie again, I fully understood every character and the reason why the child got a ring from Salassi. His Publists Jeff who said “ his guitar is his machine gun.” He actually said that in real life. I can’t recommend these books enough for you to fully enjoy the movie. I recommend Cedella’s more so although both books were great. Big up to Kingsley. I addition to his acting and learning patois (Jamaican language) and learning how to play soccer. He had to learn how to play the guitar before the movie. I know how hard that is so much respect to him!
