@@SpookyLoopz Check out this Chucky build. Addons: Plastic Bag, Straight Razor Perks: Mindbreaker, Languid Touch, Franklin's Demise, Weave Attunement They ain't using exhaustion perks. They can't see on gens. Weave gets awesome value usually. They gonna be healing slower and probably losing heal progress. It's just straight panic for them whole game. Is plastic bag overkill? Probably. Run rat poison if you want but it's a nasty wombo combo.

The best way I can suggest is to avoid open areas at all costs. Hugging weird loops that are hard for him to use slice and dice around can work as well. Objects are really annoying for him

yeah, the hitbox of his dash is pretty uninstinctive, both when playing as and against him. One thing I found worked well was, since his attack at the end is something the killer has to commit to by stopping holding the dash button (as opposed to happening automaticly once he bump in a survivor, like hillbilly), running to him right as he dash will have him sprint past you and swing in the air behind you if the killer is not expecting it.

I really don't have any strong negative emotions against Chucky, it's just that in my experience the vast majority of his players are complete asshats who will BM you if given the opportunity. Also there are a few occasions recently where I've been hit by some crazy slice-and-dice flicks, which is fine and shows the user is skilled with the killer, but it makes it hard to counter him effectively when I was under the assumption that flicking with his power was removed. But otherwise, he's quite fun to play against, and very fun to play as.

Ghostface power isn't really one that you often need a quick cooldown on in my experience. You don't use it in chase super often, it's designed for ambushes- and you have plenty of time between those for it to recharge.

People hate any killer they can't pre-run to a safe tile against. That said, this video also shows another issue. The INSANE amount of aura perks and addons. Distortion just got nerfed, deservedly so, but imagine being a new player and being 100% hidden behind something only to have the killer beeline straight to you seemingly at random. There is no way to tell if the killer is reading your aura, so there is no real counterplay except to assume you're 100% visible at all times. Not sure how they'd fix this without neutering aura reading altogether, but I have had two new players in the past couple weeks go against my aura read builds and be entirely unaware that I can see them and they have no idea why until I explain it to them in endgame chat. As more and more perks are added, this problem for new players is only going to get way worse. It's already bad enough as a new killer not knowing why or how survivors are losing scratchmarks, gaining health states while running, etc.

This is why I say that having your aura revealed should be a status effect. Experienced players will figure out your perks and add-ons then play around your aura reading. But new players don't have that information, and it can feel like shit. So by telling you when your aura is revealed, experienced players don't gain anything, but the game is easier to learn for newer players.

There's no way to mindgame a killer who can read nearly everything you do and you can't see them due to size.

Yeah, chucky's aura reading add-on can be reapplied way too frequently, and he's a killer who is super well equipped to utilize that info. Zanshin is overtuned as well, IMO. Compare it to I'm All Ears - no cooldown, and 2s longer as a base

To me Chucky feels the exact same as Blight and Nurse. Super fun to go against, when the person playing him isn't good. Super dull to go against, when the person is good. When I face a strong Chucky, Blight or Nurse I kinda enter this cold statue mode, where I sit the match through and really just wait to get hooked for a third time. I'm not throwing, but my motivation when entering chase is also non existant.

​@VBSuper I don't mind a strong killer. I enjoy playing against huntress, Billy, and even spirit is fun to go against. But chucky does seem very unfair in many situations sometimes. He can still 180 flick and get hits that feel very undeserved. All those killers are balanced in I know what to expect from their power and what I can do to counter. Chucky isn't like that. I can have distance and have circled 5 different objections and he somehow manages to get around all those objects and do a 180 while moving at the speed of Billy or blight. It's just obnoxious. Also this isn't so much an issue of killer design but for some reason 90% of all chucky players are douchey and hard tunnel and BM a lot for some reason.

As a P100 Chucky, Here’s would be my fix: -Add Scamper back. Yes, I know it was problematic but all they had to do was make it so where it boots him into cool down after he scampers. -Also, I would decrease the time of scampering to about 1-1.2 seconds. This is so where Chucky can still be consistent with Scampers, But it’s not an instant hit. -Increase the cool down of Hidey-Ho back to 14-16 seconds. This would make it so where Chucky has to choose around a loop to either Slice and Dice or Scamper Under. -Remove Rat Poison. All of that, and then Chucky is literally a solid killer. I don’t understand why The devs don’t understand this.

So I just tested this out, and that is not the case. You can still chain windows, and in fact, it looks like they buffed scampering, because my power recharges after performing a scamper, and I can flick my camera around to re-scamper the same window. So looks like there's some new mindgames

i am a p100 chucky main and i can safely say since playing him, i have gotten considerably more hate than i did before i started playing as him. i didn't know for the longest time how much people despised this killer until i started playing him almost exclusively. it kinda makes me sad because i genuinely just love his personality and i love dashing and drifting around as a little gremlin. the most common comment i get is that i have absolutely no skill for playing as him, and that no one who plays him does, and while i understand why people would say that (short, third person camera, etc), i feel like it's a bit of a demeaning remark to invalidate anything and everything i did in a match all because of my character himself. at the end of the day, i guess it's all just whatever. i really do find the community's opinions on him interesting. most people do seem to hate him, but there's also a good handful that do seem to love him which is cool!

Genuine question. Why do you even care about what the players you play against are thinking about your playstyle or Killer choice (since you said it kinda makes you sad)? I come from the fighting game scene and quit dbd years ago because of various design and balancing decisions that have been made in the past. I really couldn't care less about my opponent having fun or something like that in a pvp game which dbd happens to be. I actually enjoy the challenge to figure out how to challenge him as survivor, I usually try to take chase for my team against him because of his mobility he can be hard to loop as seen in this video. I usually play pallets, I still have trouble with T and L Loops so from my experience they are not good against Chucky but I also am new with only 600 hours on the game. Try to keep your team healthy because he can get a first hit in chase easily. His weakness is pallet by far now, if he does Slice n Dice scamper just wait on the side of the pallet and then vault it, unless he has the iri that breaks it, he is basically forced to break pallet to catch up. Please try Blast-Mine and Potential Energy. You can either: 1. Charge 1 token, Place a mine, and charge tokens to 20 so when Blast Mine is triggered, you get Blast Mine back 50% faster all the time. 2. Charge 5 tokens after a killer kicks a gen(maybe use Alert), rotate to that gen, and drop tokens to immediately stop the gen from regressing and place the Mine. It's so fun. You can even "potentially" get two chemical traps in a single chase with it.

I just played as Chucky yesterday. But I play him as stealthily as possible, focusing on keeping his Hidey-Ho Mode/Undetectable status up as often as possible. The build I used also kept bouncing Obsessions around, so it was always easy to find people and keep up the pressure. For perks: Friends Till The End, Furtive Chase, Surge, and Trail of Torment. I personally like to always know where my opponents are as much as possible, so I try to use perks that alleviate the guesswork. FTTE and Furtive Chase help me keep tabs on survivors and start a major chain of finding either the obsession or anyone else, and constantly swapping obsessions around, so i can take advantage of both perks. Surge is for gen pressure, since I try to avoid kicking gens, and this build focuses more on actually trying to sneak up on people and get frequent downs and hooks, and Trail of Torment is helpful for those times when I can't find anyone, but do find a generator. I kick it and gain stealth, and it doubles as information if they return to that gen as well.

I'm almost a p100 chucky and i can say without a doubt this killer is strong but it is mainly due to the communities refusal to try and learn to combat something they think is annoying. His power and addons while strong wont help much if you deny hits by taking sharp turns. Chucky is also the least stealthy stealth killer in the game as he can't rely on sneaking up as he constantly giggles and talks. That's if the fake feet don't scare survivors away first. His main strength is his size and dash which can make it hard to see chucky thus giving him some crazy hits but all of this is countered if you simply look down and greed the right loops, not to mention while chucky is out of power he leaves behind footsteps so its easier to track him over objects he's shorter than as well as having a larger red stain than most killers.

giggles aren't audible until chucky is like 2 seconds away from being ontop of you, this makes your "just hide around sharp corners" a mute point as there is often little warning for when he comes. Even if he does miss his ability, he will have it back basically with 0 cool down.

I actually like Chucky, and since one of my best friends is a Chucky main, we've learned how to better counter his power... The thing for me is that a lot of Chucky players tend to tunneled a bit too hard, abusing the 10-second cooldown and Chucky's miniscule size, but I still enjoy facing him

I don't think he has enough counterplay. Most of the time, the only reason Chucky misses is because he made a mistake. That's not good gameplay. I hate nurse for the same reason. At least blight has to run in a mostly straight line for all that mobility. That gives him some counterplay even if I'm tired of facing blights with the exact same build in a lot of my games. It also doesn't help that chucky doesn't really have a huge penalty for missing.

As a chucky main, I do think rat poison is problematic and that his cooldown is quite short. Personally, I think the best way to go about fixing him would either be to nerf rat poison to like killer instinct or something and increase the cooldown by a little bit, but honestly i think what they should do is to rework him a bit. An idea I've had for a while is to make the cooldown longer, but to bring back manual scamper either in a weaker state than it was before or to have it so that when you scamper it eats up the hidey-ho duration. Basically have some sort of interaction where the Chucky has to choose between using the dash or scampering. I felt like scamper added to his character and I feel like they gutted it into being useless. I still think it should have some sort of use. Idk, but all I know is that I love Chucky as a character and as a killer and it's sad he gets so much hate. I understand why he does, but so many people in this community take it way over the edge and harass people for playing a specific character.

I think the biggest issue with killers who have abilities similar to Slice and Dice is that they have the ability to manipulate the direction of the attack. If there were more ways to reliably evade the attack, I don't think anyone would really care. More often than not, I'd argue that the average survivor just wants a chance to be able to evade a killer, but it should be the skill of the players that determine the outcome of that attempt. That being said, we live in the world of DBD, and rational conversations aren't exactly common.

Sadly, for one Chucky there are always 9000 weskers and nurses so from survivor perspective i only face him like once per month so its hard to tell what exactly so "problematic" about him. But on the scale offensive/annoying powers there are plenty much more toxic killers in the game right now.

This video unfortunately highlights why it doesn't feel good for me personally to play survivor rn. Because of all these' found you' perks, the killers all know where I am and where I'm GOING at all times. It's hard to escape chases when all killers have become basically psychic and know exactly where best to go to trounce you. Looping feels pointless, hiding DEFINITELY is pointless, and chases mean 'the killer is looking at me and is now going to tunnel me out of the game. My time playing this round is done'. And when I talk about these issues in other communities, I get told 'SKILL ISSUE' and basically left out to dry. I feel like here is slightly safer though cause your vibes are great so I'm hoping the comments here will be nicer!! Edit: I was wrong. Thanks guys~

@@unseatedelf7142 no tf they didn’t. Distortion was the only counter to aura reading that survivors had that they didn’t have to be in a boon or a locker doing nothing. Survivors have to do gens to win, patrol gens, find survivors. You still have to give up a perk slot for distortion and more often than not, if the killer is doing their job and is observant you’ll be found eventually anyway. I’ve ran nowhere to hide, I’m all ears, bbq, alien instinct, and they all make it so easy to win games. I’ve also ran none of those and still found survivors easily with scratch marks or crows. If they had distortion pre-nerf, it rarely made a difference. But survivors having no counter to one of the strongest things killers can use is absolutely not behavior getting it right. Especially not when they give killers two more perks to aura read while nerfing the counter to it again.

i didnt watch the entirety of the video yet so i dont k ow the 2nd build you use but the perks I use for chucky are lethal pursuer, dragons grip, overcharge, and trail of torment and it's so nasty because the tof gives extra incentive to touch the gen because nobody wants a constantly stealthed chucky then dragons kicks in and i get a quick down and if they don't touch overcharge regression kicks to 130 it's pretty solid I don't use pop because the instant regression cancels out tof

Chucky just needs to be balanced around the idea of counterplay, I dont know why the devs struggle so badly with that sometimes. For example, I've been in love with Dracula and even though he has three powerful abilities that he can chain back to back, hes somehow fantastically balanced (imo) due to all abilities having obvious counterplay. Some games I feel all powerful, some games I get absolutely bodied, but most times its an intense back and forth. Why can they hit it out of the park so well sometimes and fail so miserably others?
