I remember I used to have a friend I never thought would end up becoming someone I despise. We were best friends until I was being bullied on the bus one day by somebody he knew. They punched me in the nose right in front of him and he didn’t do a single goddamn thing. Fast forward a week or so and my so-called best friend is actively participating in the bullying. That shit hurt so much. I haven’t had any actual friends since. Only acquaintances. Thinking back on it now, it might’ve even contributed to my social anxiety. Which really reached a tipping point after the pandemic. Adding to that, I was heading into high school and dealing with anxiety kind of anxiety that had never reached such a point before. This lead to me skipping 5 months of school because of said anxiety and going to court for truancy. It was not a good time. Fast forward like 3 years later and this guy is getting kicked out of his apartment for insulting and arguing with the landlord while drunk and underage. I guess he got what was coming to him but I haven’t been the same since.
