The thing that always fucking drove me nuts about MK8 was the way it handled items in online play. It's not based on position like how it is in local play, I'm fairly sure it's based on distance from the guy in first place, so you'll constantly get these situations where you're in fifth or fourth and you'll get a single mushroom out of a box and the guy in front of you gets a fucking star or a bullet bill. Seriously, I've seen people get bullet bills in second place and it's the most stupid shit in the entire game.

Mario Kart Wii was my first ever MK Game and I’ve MANY fond memories of it when I was in college abroad with my friends. I even don’t mind it’s Rainbow Road, I especially love it when I master that tight S Turn after the double Roundabouts! 😊 My fondest memory of it is when I played the Final Cup for the first time. I not only won first place, but also barely beat my rival driver (Donkey Kong) overall by a POINT. What an earned victory it was... ☺️

That's one problem I have with this game. For RNG that is so abundant, it sure is powerful. Stuns last wayy too long, they're meant to only let one person past you but most of the time it feels like 3 people are getting a huge lead on me. I don't mind a lot of RNG. But for something luck-based to have such a large impact, when most of the time a skilless move can ruin someone's race is ridiculous.

Spicy Noodles Yeah 😂, I pretty much get destroyed by the international gamers, especially the Japanese ones, they use the same combo over and over again. However I have surprisingly managed to place in the top 3 in races more often because I switched my kart to the Biddybuggy from the Circuit Special while using my default Bowser Jr. and I had no idea how much faster I was going 😂.

Once I started getting really good at racing they placed me in a group with nothing but Japanese players and they had way more VP than me like around 8000-14000, (I’m around 6000 btw) then suddenly more items get spammed at me 😂. However I think what’s most important is to just be skilled and be patient when racing against the same combos, and I think skill matters more in the game than kart combinations.

You can actually get the start boost by accelerating from the first moment and letting go for a couple of frames and pressing a again before the race starts. If there's no lag I think it's more consistent than the normal method
