Better tip for the scramble modifier? Read the side of your screen after inputting code, and before throwing. It says “activating” for what you’re holding and then there’s no guessing!

That is the most annoying modifier. We died so many times because our teammate wouldn't pay attention to that, and it takes at least 10-15 times to get what you want.

@@sentry4944 best way to solve that after the initial call-ins is to spam them off cooldown so that whenever you are calling in whatever you need, it’s the only option and doesn’t get re-rolled. Easier said than done, sure, but the point is to adapt your playstyle to the situation, not force your playstyle into failing the situation. The adaptation here is, opposite of what most might think, but it’s to always use them and not get re-rolled. Hopefully that helps someone.

Or alternatively, bringing in something like orbital air burst (right, right, right) where you can spam it quickly and let it re-roll to the thing you want.

Just FYI the ONLY reason it matters to actually extract is to bring back samples....otherwise you're still gonna get any XP or anything you'd have gotten normally. Finishing the missions is the only thing that matters...not actually surviving.

What's great about this, is that this is a group of players that are highly talented in FPS barely surviving. But having a fun time. This is gonna date me, but the original Lode Runner game in 2 player mode was "like this". Trying to survive and occasionally sabotaging your teammate on purpose or accident and just having a fun time as you try to extract/finish level.

It takes more than a few shots on a bile titan now. Used to be able to 1 shot them until a recent patch, at least on Impossible difficulty or above. I haven't gone below that since launch

I had a great game yesterday playing with the Random Stratagems Modifier. People were throwing support weapons and backpacks into enemy bases or dropping bombs on us - it was hilarious. So many times the game wanted me to nuke us when I really, really, really wanted a railgun.

Those aren't planet modifiers they are operation modifiers, if you picked a different operation on the same planet the modifiers would be completely different

The modifiers should be an option, and if you choose it, you get more rewards. The double time to call in a stratagem is game breaking when playing with randoms

they essentially are optional, you can play on a lower difficulty if you are having a hard time with the higher ones, and there will be less modifiers present in the missions. What you want is for the harder missions to be made easier because you struggle with them which is preposterous
