Yeah, it's a gorgeous and sometimes seamless game. Really can't see anything like it anywhere else. The immersion is unreal. It reminds me of the first time I played HALO CE, and stepped out of the drop pod onto the halo ring. Or the first time playing Unreal, on the map "facing worlds", looking down at the Earth. It has it's drama in development, but there's nothing like it. The attention to detail and freedom is wild.

That's a really good comparison. I too remember the first time I looked past the horizon in halo to see the curving ring, and it's a very similar feeling.

I downloaded SC after 2 years of waiting for relevant updates 1 - I enter the game 2 - I rent ship+ROC to mine some ores 3 - go to planet 4 - in orbit I am decimated by a ship out of nowhere 5 - repeat the process 6 - I can land 6 - game crashes and I'm dead without ship/items

This sort of star citizen requires you to spend a relatively chunky ammount . I remember 3.18 . Used to run smooth on my pc which i just built for this game but now , all of a sudden , even that is not enough . I get huge stutters and sometimes multiple long pauses during my gameplay (upto 6 seconds ) . All my excitement died out .

It’s waaaaaay expensive. It’s not for sale in the store, you have to either buy it when it comes back on sale, buy it from someone else, or wait till launch when you can get all ships by making credits in game.

Honestly, fully finished games with no bugs are just unicorns. Of course, you and I both mean "as few bugs as possible," but you just have to look at Baldur's Gate 3 to see how people receive a finished, polished game.

Yeah yeah, I really can't blame them, you have no idea how complicated a realistic space sim could be, especially if it has gameplay, with physics and realistic terrain and assets... There is a reason why Space Engine has no gameplay, No Man Sky has no realistic terrain, and Elite dangerous has no ship interior. Because it's another level of development that will simply make you create new tech... Ah, yes, I forgot about the new game, Starfield. It is no space sim, and the planets are flat terrain (oops spoilers), Even without playing it, I know for a fact that you can't explore whole planets (can't even go near to them without cinematic cuts), and it has limitation on terrain generation, because again, it's flat worlds.

Star Field and sc are two different games with two different concepts. Neither compare against each other - two different types of games. One is an MMO and one is a single player Bethesda game.

You definitely need a beefy rig to play it at a reasonable framerate, which only serves to gatekeep a bunch of newer players. I wish they would spend some resources on optimization. Since they've taken time especially recently to highlight the tools they've made in house like RaStar, you'd think optimized assets would be more valuable or more prioritized.

I have a love hate relationship. Ive got dozens of videos of absolutely stupid shit happening. From randomly dying, the constant server malfunctions, losing gear... i could go on and on. But it is a beautifully made concept. I just wish cig cared more about QC than beautification now. Reworking Lorville for instance, was totally not even needed and they wasted resources doing it. Lets not forget to mention how laggy and unstable the area is even with top tier rigs.

I totally agree with this. Definitely could upload plenty of videos titled Why I Hate Star Citizen LOL I've had this conversation with my friends before. I understand that it's an Alpha game, but they also chose to make that Alpha a live service game. At some point, you've gotta try to fix what you've got instead of finding more reasons to scope creep! Unless you're CIG, I guess, and you can keep selling pictures of ships. I always recommend people to get a starter pack and buy ships in game. Great point in your comment!

@@crsferfer Lol, to clarify Robert's scam for you... 1) scam citizen is the scam engine, who's primary job is to enable the smallest of 'gameplay' to attract The Braindead through the lure of.......'money pledges' and buying ships 2) SQ42 is, in reality, the 'final release' public test of that 'engine'. It is a lure into the scam - nothing less, nothing more. It's public release is on hold for as long as The Braindead keep buying ships. 3) Roberts obviously never, ever wants to release SQ42 - he's sh#tting himself - for one reason and one reason only...it will instantly show up just how sh#t SQ42 and it's scam engine is. Enjoy the scam, braindead ;)
