The quarry visible at 2 minutes 18 I was loading stone to go to Stoke on Trent, I love North Wales, so going there in my lorry was really enjoyable. It was a bit steep coming down fully loaded so managing speed was critical. I haven't purchased this helicopter yet, but have been flying the H145 a lot lately, it has improved a lot since when I first purchased it.

Helicopters certainly are a great way to go sightseeing and just hovering over great photogrammetry areas or individual buildings. For me Italy provides some of the best in the sim. Rome, Florence and Venice of course, but especially the bay of Naples, as pretty much the entire coastline is photogrammetry, including of course Pompeii. You can start from the northern tip of the bay around Miseno all the way down past Naples to Capri and it just looks gorgeous in the H145. So I will definitely be adding the H160 to my collection.

Learn the Gazelle in DCS if you enjoy VR helicopters, it's well worth it since the recent FM upgrade. The wee thing is light as a feather and can dance around the trees and buildings with ease. I think when the 2024 version of MSFS comes out I will definitely have to look into getting either this helicopter or the H145 to use with that, this looks like good fun.

Hey Andy, it's been a while since I did my control bindings, it's related to 'translation keys', I've mapped them to my hat switch when inside the cockpit, which allows me to move around so freely. Highly recommended :)

Nice video Steve 😊 I have a question about your motion rig. Do you notice sometimes that there is some delay in the movement for example, when you do a fast sudden movement to the left or right do you feel that there is some delay? Or is it always one on one and super direct like real life?

Thankyou :) Yes there are definitely times the motion doesn't quite match up. Generally though it's not too noticeable

Looks & sounds great. I'll get it next to my H145 but I'll be in my BS TBM-850 for ever. I get motion sick in all rotary aircraft and suck at flying them. I need to get all the Virpil springless stick and collector before being serious with it.

Looks like you changed your motion rig to do rate rather than angle? Appeared that the seat straightened up during your bank. But it looked kind of fast. Were you able to feel the seat straightening up during the bank?

I've always had the H2 set to rate. Although everything is configurable to react differently to aircraft types. I cannot recall feeling it re centre, I was too Immersed I think 😅

Hey, I have a question. Unfortunately I can’t afford a 4090 or 4080 at the moment. What would be the best gpu to pair with my 5800x3d to run DCS VR with a g2 or quest 3? I was leaning towards the 4070ti but wanted some opinion of a more knowledgeable person.

Once I learnt to fly helicopters, that's what I fly 95%+ of the time and the H145 nearly all of that time. Have you tried their action packs? They become really addictive. PS They are going to bring an action pack for the 160 as well. I ended up getting the Virpil collective, flight pedals and grip with 200mm extension, that's when you start to fly them with absolute precision.
