I know doing the numbers on details is making stuff more fun usually. But my best tip that ive given everyone is always play several classes you think you might enjoy..If its for looks, spells, utility..you name it..whatever you think is fun. Make a character, gear it slightly with casual gameplay..like for instance S4 500 ilvl is pretty easy to obtain and will give you more then enough to test it real good. Then play through the classes with guides etc to know how its played..And disable any dps meter.. Just play the rotation in the dungeons/raids or whatever content you do. Then you pick a main. there is too much focus on fotm and meta these days its ruining the experience for yourself.. Its easy to see and i see it every tier with my raiders ( i run 2 raid groups so i see alot of people through a tier)

Dont forget somethink guys. SP is playing with Aug and Dh tank. As SP you dont have enough controls for dj, so you need a dh tank. thats also give +5% magic dmg. Aug give mobi, surviv and dps.

Im a ilvl 496 sp, I can barely get over 280k dps on big packs. Do you rather use the shadow crash for the dot spread? or manually do it? Also I swear I press the tight buttons for priority, but I just never get over that 300k mark on dps

I'm kinda in the same, tho I don't remember the actual numbers. I'm always mid to high in damage compared to others of same lvl. I apply manually on anything 3 or less, reapplying as filler

​@Adym18 In bigger pulls you manually dot some mobs so when you shadow crash everything ends up dotted. Shadow crash dots 8 targets so if you pull lets say 12 mobs you would need to manually dot 4 before using shadow crash to get everything dotted. Just gotta get a feel for how many mobs each pull has. 8 or less you just use shadow crash.

I held back on playing shadow in season 4 because it was the flavor of the month so i stayed away from my priest all-together. A couple of weeks ago i started playing shadow so i cna beat the mage tower and now im HOOKED. I cant stop playing, i havent had this much fun since holy paladin shockadin was on top

good choice on maining shadow mate, I used to be fun of hunter and mained it in S1, but really the utility is not there. Maining mage since and enjoying it AF. Mage and sPriest always get invited, this season you can really push some io!! No more 1 hour waits for invites

After getting smeared like a bug due to one-shots on my hunter in multiple keys this week I switched to shadow. It’s so nice granting the party bonus heath and having the Flash heal and Fade damage reduction combo basically on demand for all mechanics. Plus you’re bringing PI, Mass Dispel, can deal with both afflicted and incorporeal… etc… It’s also super fun to play. I won’t be swapping unless they nerf it to Affliction levels. Cant wait til I can go back to the Auspicious Spirits build with the new tier set. But I also enjoy the 1 min build with Dark Ascension.

"Nerf it to Affliction levels" - so it gets nerf to the same power as now? Affliction is not weak at all, it just doesn't bring shit in m+ over a mage, priest or evoker.

@@eptic-c pretty sure their issue is they don’t have good single target without sacrificing their AOE. They have an all or nothing damage profile options. And no matter what they’ll always be compared to the other warlock specs. The fact that they don’t bring a raid buff on top of that doesn’t help. So if shadow got that kind of treatment that would be enough to make me switch but I doubt it. As of this patch and going forward I will only consider playing specs that bring a worthwhile group-wide buff.

It's fun with certain comps. Having Aug and DH are almost mandatory for this high damage output. I've played in a lot of different comps but Meta is the only place where I can zug-zug like this.
