As a retired Hackney owner driver, I didn't work new years eve as there was nothing doing after 7pm until after midnight. I did do a radio job one NYE just before I had planned to finish, to a place 90 miles away and got back on empty roads just before midnight. I did work NY day though at fare plus 50% which was good as the roads were empty. The customers were fine and just glad there were cabs there to get them home. Some had not slept from the night before and were a little fragile! Another NY day I did a radio job to a place 140 miles away because it was normal fare and others wouldn't do it for that reason. It was a railway job so the passengers got a free taxi ride. They never spoke to me the whole way, very strange.

Back in the days I drove a mini-bus and driving many drunk people became more and more difficult. Drunk people are a small problem in Oslo, since it is easy to lose a liquor licence. But private parties are something else.

In my day, I had to press the 'Extras' button 8 times ( 50p x 8 ) to make it £4, But from your Video, looks like these days, it Automatically puts up the £4 ! ( Previously i had to press the 'Extras' x20 times ( When it was 20p increments ! )
