Hi. We are going to Dubai in April, this time for 9 days. Last year we went for just 3 during the famous storm but didn't use the metro system. Where do we get the Gold card from? Also for the monorail, do we use gold card or different ticket?

@@TravelwithBarrie hello Barrie, thank you for the comment. You can buy a “NOL” metro card - silver or gold, from any station. Purchase from a machine or member of staff. I buy gold simply because of the views. Both cards are cheap and a great way to get around on both metro and trams. The metro and trams do not run on the palm. On the palm you will need to buy a separate monorail ticket. The monorail ticket can be purchased at any of the monorail stations from a member of staff. Most tourists buy a loop ticket. The view of the palm is at station Nakheel Mall. Have a great holiday! P.S the metro starts at the airport, keep your NOL card for when you return again!
