This might be my favorite "little engine that could" synth, its just beautiful. Has a delicious sonic purity I don't find elsewhere. I was excited about the Bree6, same components and sound - played it at Buchla and friends this weekend - thought maybe an E7 with a keyboard, but alas it is one oscillator per voice, so won't be the one for me. The E7 is really special though, glad you're giving it some love, nice job with the sounds - I suspect many good things to come from GS Music!

Very nice sounds! I've got a question: There's no master tune on this, but if I fine tune an oscillator then hit shift and transpose, does it maintain the fine tuning offset? Or does it round to the nearest semi-tone whole value?

Fantastic demo. I've been using the Behringer model d for all my performances, mainly because touring with it is so easy, and it's such a HUGE sound. But I'd like a more compact poly to go along with it, haven't been into the idea of the pro-800 (im one of those that doesn't exactly like Behringer as a company, and not to mention I've had calibration issues with all of their synths). I've been eyeing the GS Music stuff for a while, this one seems like the one. I'm honestly wondering, with the selection of oscillators, if this could even replace my model d for bass and leads.

Gorgeous. I think I probably should have grabbed this, a Teo-5, and something else instead of getting the PB12.

Relax, PB12 is a decent purchase. Get this another time. If you can't make a PB12 sound good, something is amiss.
@aquaticborealis4877Күн бұрын
@ PB12 does not have these kind of tones. Nor does it sound as good as a Teo-5 in my opinion. So it makes sense that maybe I prefer the tones of some synths over others. You get that, right?

great video! I really like the E7 .... but just out of curiosity, which vintage synth is it closest to in sound or types of sounds it can do?
@StarskyCarr10 сағат бұрын
That’s very hard to answer as it’s such a mix. It’s a shame it doesn’t have cross mod as that would take it into Jupiter 8/6 territory. But it does give me the general feel of my Jupiter 4 … I might throw them together if I get a minute.
@rekindle10 сағат бұрын
Thanks for your @ ! I’d love to see that comparison as I got a Jupiter 4 because of its great sounds on early Simple Minds record’s (amoungst others ofcourse, Duran Duran etc) ... and the E7 is on my list.... i think it would be interesting to hear it with a Soma Lyra 8 too for some reason...

This one sounds really really nice. A lot of manufactures do analog synths today but very few of them nail the FUNDAMENTAL TONE, because most of the times contemporary electric engineers are just engineers and have ZERO EAR SENSITIVITY about sound, they talk about data sheet and capacitor tolerance but have no idea if a have TONE DEPTH/WARM! Starsky do you know if this one is thru-hole inside?
