I’m so sorry to hear this! Most Ghanaians do not like confrontation so they’ll avoid ANYONE based on perception. Unfortunately, GOOD people like you sometimes pay the price for others negative behavior based on affiliation (countrymen). I’ve come across more of these stories lately which breaks my heart. In the end, I’m so GLAD you found a safe place to rent. Thanks also for passing the message on to your fellow countrymen. Look out for each other. Just a quick story. I once raised my voice at someone in a grocery store here in America. There was an older gentleman standing by. I didn’t know he was Ghanaian. The man figured I was Ghanaian too. He immediately tapped me on my shoulder and said in Twi “You are a son of a Ghanaian.” That’s all he said for me to come back to my senses. Sometimes, we have a duty to correct our people and I’m glad you are doing the same for Nigerians. May the universe guide your path.

Hmm, sorry for that, so who are the guys who destroyed the name of Nigeria worldwide? my sister, I'm a Ghanaian living in Libya and I have a good Nigerian friend from the Yuroba tribe, because of the bad reputation of Nigeria worldwide, Nigerians find it difficult to rent a house here in Libya as well, and they also find it difficult to get a job in Libya so I'm the one who always steps in for my good friend to find a job for him, this Nigeria bad reputation is affecting the good Nigerians negatively, I'm sad.

The human condition is such that, if you move to another country to hustle from ground zero, its about survival and people will do whatever to survive because they have nothing to loose. Since 1 in 5 black people are Nigerian or with Nigerian ancestry, a tiny percentage of people who knowingly or unknowingly cause wahala become a huge huge problem for black people especially Nigerians.

Not only in Ghana my dear, same here in Europe. Even in Italy,I saw one Nigerian woman in Italy complaining bitterly how for 2years she and husband have been searching for an accommodation but has still not find. On the telephone the Landlord will ask of her Nationality as soon as she says a Nigerian, he will say am sorry I don't want Nigerians. Sometimes too she and her husband goes to look at the property, as soon as they says we are Nigerians, they get rejected. She said the Nigeians will refuse to pay their rent and when you ask them to move they refuses because when it happens like that, it's has to been taken to court and for the whole time the case is in court, he won't be paying rent until court decides when he or she to move out so if it should take 1/2 years he would be rent free and especially with kids. So your people have taken advantage of that to be saving money for themselves. So now it's difficult for am Italian to rent out to Nigerians.

There's no justifying the land lady's nasty attitude, regardless of whether she was dealing with a Nigerian or Ghanaian or whoever! Discrimination of any kind is wrong and utterly condemnable. But for anyone who's had a terrible experience dealing with bad tenants, or who knows of one, this is easier said than done. As long as some of our brothers continue to engage in bad/criminal behaviors, the rest of us would be casualties. It's unfair, yes, but that's life.

What I like this time about your video is using your media to advice Nigerians to make a good name . Unlike your other video about house rent in Ghana, you were vehemently on the defensive mood trying to explain that not all Nigerians are the same. Who actually doesn't know that? If I have had 3 encounter with Nigerian tenants and all went horribly bad do u think u can still tell me not all are the same?? Of course not all are the same but as a businessman or renting for business you will actually have no time to look whether this is the good one or not. I find it sad though. Just recently I decided to try a Nigerian again, but then when I told him I may need his resident permit or at least Ghana non citizenship card for documentation he left and never came back. Meanwhile the Ghana immigration service wants us to rent out to those with documents. Sad development though

A lot of Nigerians living in Ghana are morally irredeemable. We don’t hate them and we don’t want them to be around us either .Now KNUST is even admitting only a few Nigerian students cos of the mess they cause in rooms and on campus
