I have an 07 GT Premium, manual Trans with all the options. Bought it two years ago with 37,000 miles for $15,000. The 05-09 model year mustangs are the closest to looking like the original mustangs. In particular the 1969 Mach One with the four headlamps, hood scoop and rear spoiler. Mine is show quality with the redfire tintcoat paint and the red and black interior. I don’t need more power and am overjoyed with the sound, looks and performance. So fun to drive and show!

All the same reasons as I bought mine 3 years ago. It had 24000 miles on it when I bought it. Redfire with premium black leather interior. I want to find the Mach One styled hood with ram air style scoop. Get it lowered. And some different wheels.

Nothing on the internals of the original engine showed any signs of failing anytime soon. But my auto trans pooped itself

I test drove a 2009 GT manual and liked it, only the car hadn't been well maintained. Then I test drove a 2012 5.0...and drove it off the lot 2 hours later and never looked back.

I have a 2008 GT/CS sounds great with borla ataks. I wanted this 05 to 09 era because its a semi copy of a 70. Mine was driven by a respectful young lady. Had 76k on it. I love.... Love it!!!!!!

Bought a 2006 GT convertible with 35000 mile on it three years ago and love it. At 71 years of age I don't need major horse power. It's just a great sounding cruiser. However I did add Koni adjustable shocks and stiffer sway bars to handle the corners a lil better.

I agree with most of your points regarding price and power for the 05-09s, but I went with a 10 and I’ll tell you why. More muscular styling, a vastly improved interior (it may look similar, but way better materials and ergonomics), a better suspension (also availability of track pack), and a bump in hp and torque. Plus little things like advance track, sync, sequential lights, etc. And being that they’re still in the 3V family, they can still be had for a lot less money than an S197 5.0. Just my .02

i bought an 06 gt with a whipple supercharger and a few other mods. 50k miles. Paid 6 grand for it because the dude didn't know what was wrong with it. Turned out to just be the tps. 60 dollar fix.

I love my 3v! No mustang made embodies that classic 60's retro look and lines. It doesnt have the most power but then again im 35 years old, im not out racing everyone on the street. Its got plenty of power overall for me and I can add more to increase it a bit. Definitely a great purchase if you love Mustangs.

I have a '05 Mustang GT (sonic blue) and owned it for over 11 years now. Mine is a daily driver so it has 196,000 KM (121,788 Miles). Still love it but it's starting to look its age. I just repair it as it needs so no mods for mine.

2005-2009 are the best mustangs ever made. Perfect blend of old school meets new school. Best looking, best sounding Mustangs. With a 93 octane tune, jlt series 3 CAI, 3:73 gears, gt500 throttle body, pypes long tube headers, x pipe, with no cats. Your power curve comes really early, torque comes early too. Stop light to stop light 2011-2014 stock mustangs can't keep up. Big hp n torque numbers mean nothing if you have to wait forever with high revs to get it. It's rough, it's has usable torque on the street, it's what a mustang should be,,,quick power delivery with killer looks. Buy a 2005-2009, mod it out and you now have " the best Mustangs ever made.

get an 07 - 09. 05 and 06 had issues with the body seal and the heads on the engine. they fixed all of that in 2007.

His point on these cars is best said this way. With WHATEVER budget one has...if ur a keen buyer...you can snatch up a fun ass modern day musclecar on the cheap. Expect to 'pony' up some $ on top of the purchase price for perk ups...but still get a fun ass musclecar for under 10 grand..

She's pretty. I have an 07 GT vert. Same color. I think same exhaust. I have the borla atak. I love love this car. Had it for about 3 years. Have had to make some repairs but it's been worth every $. You get sound in an older body style that's alot to lose for sound alone. It's a well known fact you could get a 2014 v6 with 305 horsepower and yes you wouldn't quite have the sound but if your the type to not keep a car for a while reselling would be easier due to financing companies willing to finance a newer lower mileage vehicle easier than the older ones I mean the newest 3v is about to be 10 years old so average miles aren't gonna be low. If you have cash saved and are planning on keeping it for a while it's not a bad way to go for the price

Reasons to buy that car: s197 cars look much, much better than s550 (i just sold a 2020 bullitt because I still cared more for the looks of my 2013 gt, and in order to get a 2008 bullitt to park next to my 1970 and 2013). Second reason: even if the quality of materials is not the best, the interior of the 2005/09 looks better than the s550 ans even the 2010/14. The retro feel and look is lost in the 550.Third reason is the engine note which is the best of any modern mustang. So they are a really good option. The 3v lacks power but you coud get an additional 50hp with cheap mods and a tune and tha is enough for a fun daily driver

The power is still plenty and its not that far off from the 2011 to 2014 gt times anyway. Especially if you ha e the 2010 with the slight pump in power and improved aerodynamics
