I just disagree with the defense part of the video, first 2 to 3 seasons of his career anthony edwards was not a good off ball defender at all. This year he has the highest defensive rating as a guard. Hes in talks for all defensive 2nd team, hes been given votes for it too. His on ball defense is some of the best for his position, I understand that his off ball defense can improve but he a great defender.

Defensive win shares take in account the TEAM's defensive rating. Minnesota is the 4th best defense in the NBA. Anthony Edwards is playing on a defensively STACKED team. Rudy Gobert, Jaden McDaniels and Nickeil Alexander-Walker are all excellent and doing the heavy lifting here. Remember Edwards is often defending the team's 3rd-4th option so that he has energy on the offensive side. Ant-Man is a solid on-ball defender and with his athleticism he can easily be ELITE. But I think he's got a ways to go before we compare him to MJ

Kid is basically algorithmically learning the game. Every time he isolates a part of his game that needs work, he determines where that dimension of the game has diminishing returns if focused on in a vacuum and which dimension to elevate next to ensure his bag is well rounded. His defense and team oriented play this year is such impressive course correction and shows a self awareness that, when paired with his work ethic, will propel him into the stratosphere.

@joserojo86636 ай бұрын
And no one will ever over take Mike as the most important player in basketball history because of the heights he took professional basketball. No one could ever do that. Jordan came in the league when most players didn’t live and breathe the game Mike lived to compete and be the best now players get paid enough to consider it a legitimate career path and work on their game full time, view yourself as the product and not just an employee. Once the divaism of players goes away and they just play the league will be the most competitive it’s ever been.
