Yeah for sure! We were actually there during the dry season! We were there in April/May and it's when everyone is there to go trek Mt. Everest. But past June the monsoon season starts. Weather was nice, a bit warm during the day in the sun so definitely bring sun screen!

We got back from Kathmandu in June this year. A suggestion however late. It would have been better to hire a guide in Durbar Square who will tell you the history of the old palace and the many temples which are there. Best of all though he arranged a look of the Kumari in her house. The guide cost us just INR 500.00.

u guys need to go to pokhara and there about to actually explore real natural nepal , kathmandu is more about food and history in pokhara and there about you have lots of things to do as a foreigner

Yeah we had a lot more planned but I ended up getting really sick and not being able to do anything for half of the time we were in Nepal :( just means we have to go back!

Kumari is important for Buddhism but it's for Hinduism. She is an incantation of goddess Durga. You messed up with the process of selection she belongs from the Buddhist religion worshipped by Hindu which show religious tolerance of Nepal.Buddhism & Hinduism is two major religions of Nepal.
