Short Girl commenting...;-) I'm 5'1" and the 'crop jeans' trend was never one that I could carry off because I always looked completely dumpy in them. I ADORE the trainers and everything else *planning to get the Kahki Coatigan to add to my long cardigan collection* ...but you're tiny and in amazing shape - the jean length can make us short girls look shorter, so my vote is to send them back and keep the trainers! 💚

Loved the flog! I am 5 feet, and I would wear the jeans, looked great on you. Wear Peds with your trainers. I have a short neck so I don’t wear roll necks of any kind. Our dog certainly has loads of places to chill (although sometimes it's more about frying!) Our rottie Vega has her basket, a blanket and a cooling matt in the living room, a blanket in the guest room (renamed Vega's room, as she uses it the most), a blanket in our bedroom, a blanket in the greenhouse (on cooler days only) and numerous ever changing spots on the floor following the path of the sun throughout the day (hence the frying). And if the cloth that goes under the Xmas tree is unoccupied by said tree for more than a few seconds, it's fair game, too.

I liked the piano music for a change and the garden is abundant with flowers. You are lucky to have an open spot with lots of sun to bring them on. English flower gardens are famous and I have seen householders struggling in Greece to water roses and to produce some sort of flower garden. Winds today for 2 days and then back to the sun but the wind will be a feature in your garden if you have it whereas my small garden is protected somewhat. The plants will wind down soon for Autumn and I am already enjoying the change of seasons.

I love things made in a forge and sadly mine shut down but there are others. I have a grate made for me in a forge with a steel plate that I wanted rusted slightly to put candles on in a glass round shallow bowl. It stands in a large red brick fireplace and it is the main feature of the room. Forges should be a subject for you and Charlie to visit - they deserve recognition.

My first thought when I saw the bluejeans was that they were the wrong style for a girl that wants to appear taller. I am 52 and I wear a boot cut style or a flare bottom style blue Jean. I wear them a little bit longer so that I can put on a pair of cute booties with them. I don’t have to commit to a full boot in the fall yet I still have the structure of a boot so it appears my legs are longer. That too would be the perfect addition to this flare/ boot cut style.

The flowers in vases look so beautiful - very British bunches. The San Mazarno tomatoes actually British grown I get from Lidl have to be the best I have ever tasted. A lot are grown organically now and so tasty and sweet. You can make chutney too with all that produce - autumn goodness.

Josie, i’m not a big fan of jeans either. But i now have tries a wide leg one, in 90% cotton, and 10% elastane, so it gives you a nice sillhoute, with massive confort. I now have bought one from Anne Weyburn and it’s a game changer and they are very elagant. 🥰😘

Josie!! The dark cropped jeans look fantastic on you!! I wear cropped all the time (5'4")..super flattering with slim ankles. No socks with the trainers!! Hello, answering your question about the wide shoe toes: it's so that youf finger can freely move. when we step on our feet our fingers are spreading slightly in sides and stretching a bit forward. it is a natural healthy movement to have more grip with your feet. that's why wearing think toe tip shoes all the time is not recommended, because it limits the movement of your feet, muscles forget that they can move that way and later even if we are wearing more comfortable shoes or even we walk bearfoot, our legs are still very stif and are not moving as they are supposed to. there also are some excercised that you can do to help your feet and your legs move in the right way, takes only 5 minutes a day, and well generally, a lot of people nowadays are not even walking properly which causes a lot of health problems later in life. hope it helped a bit. The wide toe box is designed to allow the toes to splay properly. When you take a step, your toes should be able to spread out to the point where they are not touching each other. I’d recommend purchasing Toe Spacers to utilize to get accustomed to the proper positioning. Wearing them 15-30 minutes a day will help restore the natural structure of the foot. Your toes should be the widest part of your foot. I would also recommend not wearing socks or ensuring that your socks are loose enough to not minimize the splay of toes inside of the barefoot shoes as that defeats the purpose.

I use 2 knives for cutting vegs and both are serrated. I find that they cut through better. I have never spent alot and they are fantastic. One thing I cannot stand is blunt knives when you are working in the kitchen. My family used to visit Savernake Forest near Marlborough when we lived near the Downs.

The olive dress was absolutely beautiful on you, the jeans looked great on too! I agree with you regarding shoes which are good for your feet (I personally live in trainers & Birkenstocks, when I'm not entirely barefoot) but you wouldn't be wearing your YSL trainers day in day out & they certainly won't be any worse for your feet than the Hermes sliders & mules that you wear a lot so I would just enjoy them, I do tend to wear no show sports socks with my trainers! I think it’s the style of Jean on our hips. A tighter style but still loose boyfriend style of Jeans, look best on me. Hope this helps. dear Josie, I have had vivos for years and when first trying them on in Covent Garden at the vivobarefoot store I was like woah they are so big and the shape I wasn't sure.. the lady in the shop told me the reason is that if your toes touch the end of the shoe, it sends pain and inflammation through your whole body.. and truly you will get used to it and your feet and posture will improve. to be honest it is not noticeable to others. 💗

I found the brand Ahinsa Shoes that are the same principle of barefoot shoes that I'm looking into. They have a wide variety of styles that look a bit less "dorky". lol It is weird to have that "barefoot" feeling (and look) of our feet splaying out the way they were designed to be for maximum foot health. 😂Have to get used to it (or just wear them at home).
