Well, they can be in debt, if we look at their expenses. Mortage in California (very expensive monthly) Home insurance monthly Water bill Monthly car payments Food Taking care of 2 little kids. Having a stay at home parent Electric bill Phone data bill Internet Health insurance (unless her company offers it to her and her family). It seems like they moved to a fancy expensive neighborhood too quick, but of course, im sure that shes not willing to live in a more cheaper place

The moment he checks her, she checks out. She's not worth the effort even with kids as the act of childbearing is seen as bigging her up. Her disrespect is sickening. Reverse the roles, she'd be claiming he disrespected her. In family court, her behavior would be classified as coercive control and financial abuse if HE acted the way she does.

My wife acts like this when I call her out. She can't understand that I am trying to do things fairly and even call out my own wrongdoings. She checks out the same way and you want to try and resolve each issue because you are married, have kids, etc. A lot of men need to know about this before they get married or have kids because in my case there really is no breakthrough, you just have to leave it alone.

@@-441- Yes, and what sucks is just having to write-off having these conversations with women, because it feels like you are discounting them as adults. Moving forward it seems like the only answer is, that if you cannot find a woman who you can reason with, just make it so you aren't in any situation where it will matter. For example, not living together so eachothers finances are their own.

This is very interesting: When a man provides for the family, he and the wife have a say in the finances of the house and he gives her money to handle many financial decisions. When a woman provides for the family, she belittles the husband and doesn’t see him as worthy of managing anything financially. This makes the man feel little and useless, all while she will later complain that her husband was “insecure” that she earned more and that’s why she left him.

@adriana12995
@adriana12995 Жыл бұрын
@@helix7773 It would matter later because then the man feels like he has to depend on a woman that is not his wife anymore for the rest of his life. Stay at home dads justify their dependence on the fact that they take care of the kids and the house, but when they don’t have that anymore they feel they have no more justification. Women on the other hand, have no qualms about depending on a man for the rest of their life even when they divorced him and that’s because women have an inherent need to be provided for. Notice that this guy in the video is not exactly proud of being a stay at home dad, men like that rarely are proud. It just sort of happens: man loses job, woman gets promoted, they decide that he will stay home, etc. No man and no woman actually plans for a man to be a stay at home dad. It just sort of happens and then they think it will work until it ultimately destroys them.

@meme9492 I understand, and I can see why people see that at times. I also think that people aren't born to hate, lie, and be deceitful. They had to be taught to be that way. How many women were better women because they had strong fathers to guide them? How many men were better men cause their moms didn't treat them like a replacement husband? How many men were good men until a selfish woman abused them and cheated on them? How many women started to hate men because all they cared about was their body? Try to understand where the other person is coming from before you judge how valuable their love is and never let their trauma change who you are as a person otherwise you continue the cycle. To think men can not love purely is misguided. I could say the same for women. I have been cheated on. Was her love pure? Now I am married to a wonderful wife who I would do anything for...is my love not pure? Food for thought.

@@scottsommer9843"Try to understand where the other person is coming from..." Which women never do (barring that one in a million). This is manifested most with children, it's HER child, unless the child did something "wrong," then it's, "Guess what YOUR CHILD did today!" (Or earlier, like when she's in labor, "BRING ME THE MAN WHO DID THIS TO ME!" which was an old joke line in TV and comics - a Meme before there were memes.) The children are part of her body, reflected in abortion arguments, when the child is "just a clump of cells" when inconvenient, and HIS RESPONSIBILITY when she wants the child. Sorry, but the older you get, the more you realize the old ways were best... Developed over millennia, reflecting how men and women relate to the world (he is forced to go out and conquer to prove he is worthy to procreate; not all men do, in fact, most don't, per DNA traces. She can sit there and look pretty, be at the end of the race waiting for the winners, and take her pick. She receives, including the resources he brings; she doesn't give back, even with a child, it is HER body she sees in that baby, not a human being. No different than a cute puppy... Her emotions are about the same, and the possessiveness stays the same through her adult life, such as it is - she's never much more than a child herself. Learned over 3 decades, the first two decades of life were blue pill - THANKS, MOM. But as I approach 50, 20 years with a lunatic who was never satisfied no matter what, and now won't even manage the house, despite being secondary, and bringing her daughter into the mix it was supposed to be temporary, but I got stuck taking care of her - I've lived it. Came from a GREAT relationship, too, I was completely unaware this sort of woman existed, but hindsight? Even the great relationship, she was still a woman, you know? The BEHAVIORS were there, she just had control of herself. This one has no control, and thus needs to be taken care of, but like Eve, forget Lilith, she fights for control because she "knows" how things will work out .. someone will help her, out of "the goodness of their heart"... 😐. Totally clueless about the subtexts or the concepts of noblesse obligé or strong take care of weak. And if you aren't aware of HER subtext, that she'll consume you alive if she can, you'll be on the losing end, as the gentleman in the video was consumed by her lack of care. A wife though took a vow before almighty God, her family and yours to be with you in sickness and health, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, and til death you part. Love is work, it is sacrifice for those we care about, opposite of love is indifference, she saw you struggle to take care of her and the family you did your duty as a man should. Times are hard and she acts as though you never did for them, ungrateful and indifferent, that is the opposite of love. A wife would have struggled alongside you when times were tough, would have gotten a job and helped you find one as well til you could get a handle on things again. Childcare was insane, so I agreed to take care of the kids until she had finished her advanced schooling, but quickly realized she had ZERO respect for my contributions. Turned out the kids weren't mine, and the divorce left me with nothing but 2 Army duffel bags that held the total of my life. Took 20 years to get to the point that I have enough saved to put a downpayment on a chunk of land I want to retire on, while she's been thru at least 3 divorces with 3 kids from 3 different fathers. That nightmare taught me the valuable lesson that women don't value a man unless he provides all the cash and prizes, anything else is worthless to them. The little I possess is MINE, I earned it, and every penny I spend is weighed against how much I could save instead. EVERY woman I know is broke, in debt, and desperate for money from anyone they can get to loan them some. They all THINK they're rich, and "Boss" and "don't need no man", but when the bills come due, they have nothing. It's not worth it gents, learn to cook/clean/do laundry for yourself and if you need companionship get a shelter dog/cat instead of counting on a female for anything. If you need human contact, find yourself a small "tribe" of guys who will watch your 6, and you'd do the same for them, it'll reward you with far better interactions, and you'll receive far more honor and loyalty from your fellow man than a woman.

Well, I believe people rise to the standards set for them. Served in the USMC, and knew some really great Marines that just happened to be women. Were not as strong or as fast, but had integrity and honor. Got out and was a single dad of two teen girls. Got to see so many 30/40 year old women I dated act just as dramatic and immature as my daughters. Not saying women can't be reasonable adults, but when everything in society coddles them like children...I agree...if they act the part, they should be treated as such.

If he gets sick of this and decides to re-enter the workforce, watch how quickly the joint account comes back, because she'll want access to ALL the money, while when she made all of the money he gets no access. When he was supporting them, she got access to his money. Traditionally, women that stay home get access to the money, but she's taken that from him, even when she tried to argue how many women have traditionally been in his position. And he stated that "they aren't cut off." She had no answer. Ultimately, I think they're doomed. Things can't go on the way they are currently because she resents him, and treats him poorly. He's miserable because she won't share anything with him. If he gets a job, the dynamic will change, she'll have less power over the home, and she'll want out because of that.

An option is to use three accounts. Each has their own account for paychecks to be deposited. And then a joint account that each can deposit a percentage of their paycheck to be used for bills, home expenses, kids' expenses, etc. She spends whatever she wants from her account and he saves as much as he wants. And no, she has no access to his account. The separate accounts help protect the man in the event of a divorce. This reminds me of a 2003 article about 3 men who became stay-at-home dads because their wives earned more money than them. These men ended up no longer being respected by their wives who divorced them. And you won't be surprised to learn that they still lost out in this story.

"Her money is her money. His money is her money too" spot on. I have a friend who married a woman who works in a bank and makes 80k a year. He pays for everything!
@theresaherman
@theresaherman Жыл бұрын
Old guy here. Man, I could write a book about the differences. I’ve been married a long time to a more traditional woman and she’s done right by me and our marriage. When we got married in the early 80s, before all this crapped started, she was teaching and I was in the health profession. I made twice, and at times 2 and 1/2 times what she made. But she was a better money manager than I was was because she made her cash stretch while I spent more, sort of carefree being a bachelor. Throw in the fact that my father died when I was 19, though my mother was very savvy, she didn’t advise me much. Meanwhile, my wife’s father was extremely financially gifted and geared toward investing, via stocks, bonds, money market funds, CDs and the wise use of credit. He wasn’t a Wall Street type, but just a smart guy who managed fertilizer sales for the farming Co-ops in western rural part of our state. His wife was a SAHM, who raised 5 children, then went to work went the kids started school. I called my father in the law, “the scholar with a dollar”, who taught his daughter well. So, we married in the early 80s, got a joint checking and savings account, deposited both our paychecks into it. We paid off debts to school loans, hers and mine. Then we paid off debts to our parents. We had a very reasonably priced wedding, not going into debt for the 1 day party. The first couple of years she managed the financials, with the mutually agreed decision that neither one of us would spent no more $50.00 dollars without consulting the other. After a time, she turned over the financial role to me. I learned a little from her, some from her dad, and a whole lot on my own, reading books and magazine articles on finance, money management, investing, budgeting, and saving. I managed the checkbook and savings accounts, as well as our long and short term mutual funds, IRAs, and 401k accounts. Fast forward 30+ years, I retired at age 61, wife retired age 58, though she got a new part time job, similar to teaching. Secure retirement, house and old cars paid off, home remodeled, no loans, no debt, and cash in the bank. Contrast my wife’s brother. He has no money savvy, married a woman who is a compulsive yard sale, flea market buyer. He worked construction, very good and skilled at it. He would hand over his paycheck to her and expected her to manage the finances. They bought rental property they had to borrow to buy. Bad decision. She ended up taking 2nd mortgages on the house they lived in to pay for cars for their 2 sons, more bad decisions. Even though they bought their house the same year we did, we paid off our 30 year mortgage in 23 years, at this time they still owed $30,000.00 dollars. Needless to say, she “cheated” on him financially, not telling him about these co-signed loans, so he made the decision to divorce her after 35 years of marriage. She was a terrible parent to those boys, spending money foolishly, with no discipline. Bottom line: women can be the best helper in achieving financial success, if working together with the man, following his authority. Or they can be your absolute worst nightmare in digging you a fiscal hole that you may never recover from, especially so late in life. This couple on Netflix is in serious trouble. First that guy needs a haircut and quit looking like a soyboy. Next, he needs to have a serious talk with the wife about a budget or file for divorce. I wonder if the Commiefornia divorce laws will help him as much as they help women. Biggest problem is her attitude, spending more than they make. Doesn’t matter who is earning the money, deficit spending is a horrible, no good, very bad way to ruin yourself, regardless if you’re a household, business, or a government. Living within your means is good, living BELOW your means is great! It’s how you pay off debt, accumulate assets, and save for retirement or rainy days. The problem is people think that the money they make now will always be there or increase, never realizing that the job can go to shit, be outsourced, changed, reorganized, deep-sixed, or eliminated by AI. My father in law always said, “it’s not how much to make, it’s how much you save.” Damn, I miss him, he was a wise and trusted guide, he had a nose for financials, a real OG. RIP Pop.

This is why the stay at home dad never works. 🙄 For starters, women are 80 percent of the consumer base. Secondly they look for the top teir guy when it comes to marriage. In my opinion, being a stay at home dad dooms the relationship and marriage. This role reversal doesn't work, but Mainstream media definitely try to normalize this narrative. This guy should have never quit his job. In a few years, she will divorce him 100 percent guarantee 💯

The way she checks out is very much like my wife. I was the SAHD for 15 years and dealt with the same crap he’s dealing with. I wasn’t making electrical engineer money, but you’re all right when you say it’s all about her ego. Keeping the kids out of daycare (because you can say you didn’t outsource raising them, and can afford a one income home), keeping her job, spending like no one depends on her; it all serves her ego. And when you say this doesn’t work, she shuts you down. Our (female) marriage counselor diagnosed my wife as a narcissist, and while I hate that it feels like I’m projecting my situation onto them, and throwing around the Narc term, that’s what I see here. My kids are almost old enough I can clock out of this marriage soon without screwing up their childhood. I don’t think he’ll make it that long.

Why not just lead your wife and educate her instead of throwing the marriage away. There is so much little respect for the marriage commitment today that it’s scary. If you are contemplating leaving there is no reason not to begin a campaign of change in your house where you gently but systematically tell your wife how things need to be. Look at it as an experiment. If men truly believe that women are emotional children, then you can do this bc children can be talked to and learn. Tell her what you think, tell her how you feel and use emotional language that she can understand. When you do this I feel less valued and appreciated and I don’t like it. Make it about the object and the action, not her specifically. Be smart.

@@infinity4evr This is a pretty funny comment. He wasn’t dealing with a woman with a lack of information or understanding my friend. What he was dealing with was a woman with a lack of empathy. Empathy can’t be taught and a person who lacks it damn sure can’t be changed by exemplifying patience with them or communicating more clearly. This is an emotionally damaged individual that takes your good nature, positive qualities and willingness to make things work and weaponizes them against you. There ain’t no cure for that but to leave. I know it may be hard to believe but there is such a thing as evil people in the World and sometimes, mistakenly, we marry them.

@@infinity4evrSome wives cannot be lead. That is impressively naive. Most women don’t want to be forced to face accountability and change no matter what strategies you utilize. Specially those diagnosed by professionals as having a personality disorder such as narcissism. One thing is to assume it another to have a health professional point it out. Narcissists don’t learn and don’t change. Most women are borderline narcissists and is nobody, specially her father, led her from childhood, they cannot be lead as adults.

This is such an easily solved issue that could be solved in a second: woman, leave your job! Leave it and accept your husband with his lower income. This is all about greed. That’s it. Greed is the root of all evil. No need for a huge house, no need for gifts, no need for trips. Greed is destroying families all because women cannot humble themselves.

With this power dynamic and the way she’s behaving it begs the question two things: one he needs to get a DNA test on those kids, and if he chooses to get a divorce he can get alimony. The way she’s acting the way she’s behaving there is no doubt in my mind that she’s been having affairs. I think at this point it’s a 50-50 chance that those children are his biological children.
