Playing like a gm mercy or diamond or gold are huge difference.

Depends. If you feed and get rezzed after it might deny someone else being rezzed who could have won the fight for example. You should just never feel happy you can feed more than usual. Just don't feed more. play your best.

I once rezzed my friend in front of an ulting Bastion and watched them panic deflect as Genji, while complaining they almost dropped their sandwich. I cackled and used the "You're Welcome" voiceline. No eating on my watch.

Exactly Flats. I am a feeder and I have a mercy duo who rather sees my exceptional plays on Hanzo. I always get focused when I play alone, because I do a triple kill in the beginning and suddenly there is a Hammond, Winston, Tracer, Genji, Lucio, Moira comp against me forcing me to swap, since even in the middle of my team, behind my rein, next to my cree and in front of the 2 supports I just get dove and killed. My mercy is a goddess. With her, I don't have to rush for heals and when I'm full and not outputting damage, she just grabs the other part of the team on her shoulders and saves the feeders so the attention gets on our tanks instead of the two of us. We still get found out a lot and get focused, but I get more and more adept at dealing with my kryptonites. She is the only reason I keep playing overwatch and she makes my day every time we spend together. You may start joking with me having to get a room with her, but she actually became my girlfriend after a bit of time and she is honestly a goddess in the game, yet still feels like she is useless and I carry and I have to repeat myself over and over again that she is the one who rezed me into the 6k team kill. She is incredible and I aim to make her the happiest girl, like she made me the happiest, playing one of my old favourite game with me.

It's not like I was some plat pleb. Peak was mid-masters, but I regularly played with a few GMs and those games were fucking lit. Supporting people who actually fight like a team and understand how to move together is incredibly satisfying.

I understand that feeling, something similar happened to me.. I was alone against 4 players, rez'd winston.. the winston was considerate and smart enough to jump vertically to let me escape the crowd.. he kept doing that while harassing whoever shooting at me.. he killed one (it was m'cree I think), and then the other teammate arrived at the payload.. I died before we won, but those moments certainly one of the best..

Merci is great so long as you have a half decent team. There is a tipping point between a team that is aware of its positioning and the usefulness of Merci and a bunch of dregs who either can't shoot for shit or don't know how to use a bit of furniture as cover. My favourite situation - last guy standing (because of your Merci support) and then rushes into the enemy. (facepalm)

The other day, I got flamed from a level 12 Ashe about "how I'm not pocketing her" even though I was focusing tanks and let the Zen heal the dps. I died only twice on the map and it was Hollywood attack. Mate literally had 3 kills and was flaming me cuz they kept rushing in, as Ashe, and dying. Kinda depressing ngl :/

I have a friend I used to play with all the time that mained mercy.. Got away with the dumbest rezzes ever on me, and was my favorite person to play with. I will always appreciate and protect my mercy! Her callouts were amazing, too, with my favorite being "genocide them!" when she popped valk in a scrim

one of my early quick play games as moira i sucked major ass and was constantly dying, but our mercy rezzed me like 3 or 4 times (and i think we ended up winning but it's been a while so I don't remember). i did thank her in chat afterward for constantly rezzing my stupid ass, and now that I play mercy sometimes too, I get a nice warm fuzzy feeling when someone thanks me for rezzing them, especially if I do it more than once in the game. moral of the story: APPRECIATE YOUR MERCY. The worst about being a Mercy main is when u heal someone close to death and instead of them waiting till they're at full health they charge in and blame u for not healing enough.... like, at least give me the chance to heal u. Or when they're mad u didn't follow them, even though they went into a full-on warzone where u wouldn't survive for more than 5 seconds

Hey Flats, what should I do if I'm playing Rein and a Reaper is constantly tearing me to shreds?

Swing your hammer when he is trying to get passed your shield :P . If he constantly having the drop on you from behind asked your team to step up, get a CCer or something. Make sure your off tank is helping you (like matrix or bubble when reaper jumps on you from behind). If that does not work is better to switch off to another hero who can avoid reaper easier, but if your team not willing to change to that other setup with a more mobile main tank, then it is in most cases go next. You could also try road and play with 2 off tanks. Roadhog still has the potential to create space on main , as long you can hit your hooks and the enemy is not playing a rein as main tank. Setup around a road can be the same as a rein, and you will counter the reaper too. (also depending on map and enemy 2nd dps and support. If they are all range hitscans you will be feeding a lot on a roadhog without a shield)

Yeah I think he/she/they just panicked. Some of those rezzes were unnecessary as the fight was already lost and just made Flats feed even more. But overall pretty good rezzes and healing/damage output.
