I struggled with carrying my games with good KDA as a JG for a long time. Simple changes I applied to change it drastically. Once I get the lead on enemy JG I live in their JG. I stop clearing my camps as soon as I can and I either fight or side lane. Massive difference once you start pushing your weight around. Also stopped recalling with stupid amounts of gold trying to plan what I can buy and if I really need it before hitting that recall. Often times this 1 extra wave you push or extra JG camp you take from enemy gives you XP and level that is around 600g stats funneled into you without visiting the fountain. Good tips.

Mistake 1: Chasing enemies after the fight is actually over -> missing time to get gold, xp and push of waves Mistake 2: freezing or pushing at the right time -> making yourself stronger by pushing when you are ahead instead of making the enemy weaker by freezing Mistake 3: 14minute timer Mid turret without defense of the strongest member -> can snowball into a massive map control lead and force a reactive playstyle of the team that lost it first Mistake 4: tempo loss by doing irrelevant camps, bad recalls (500g) or not crashing waves -> too late on the map when a fight is started, support cant ward forward because there is too less backup By far not perfect, but that should cover the main aspects.

Those Nocturne stats gave me PTSD... Almost every single game I have a Noc jg he takes all the kills, gets super fed, then uses all that gold and power to contribute absolutely nothing towards actually winning the game. And the cherry on top is that these players think they did well because they have such nice looking stats. They almost exclusively use their ults to finish up low health targets instead of a gank that helps their team.

That in itself is not bad. The problem is that so many times those laners back (on full HP and when gold unspent is quite low) when they should be pushing the wave or help taking objectives or even going to another lane or providing vision into their jungle or providing vision for objectives.

Nocturne players just think it‘s generally worth to ult if you get a single kill for it which just isn‘t allways the case. Killing the 0/5 mf on botlane isn‘t quite the gamechanger if it costs ur 8/2 nocturne his ult. you have to get catches that acctually enable you to play an objective

@@Shoulders-k2g bruh, did you even watch the video, depending on the situation it is worth it, if your team gets to keep pushing, get waves, plates and towers (gold/exp) you generate a massive advantage that gets you more gold and exp than "just a kill".
@Piratequeen010156Ай бұрын
• Chasing kills - when a fight is over, it's over, don't chase one-off pointless kills when you are actively missing waves and potential plates in your lane. You could be denying your opponents exp/gold by crashing your waves while they are forced to recall. Plates and shoving waves can get you much more assured exp and gold. • Don't freeze when you have the lead - freezing is great for early to get you a lead, but once you have it, you want to be snowballing and gaining as much as possible. Sure, you can continue to deny your lane opponent gold, but at this point in the game, you're actually playing against the enemy's team most fed player (whether this is the top, jungle, or mid). Ex. a fed top is getting tons of plates, waves, kills and first turret... while you're still freezing the lane and staying even instead of abusing your lead. You'll inevitably lose out against that fed top. • 14 Minutes is the beginning of macro (when plates fall). Whoever controls mid and has mid prio can effectively control the game and other lanes. Mid turret falling can be extremely pivotal. You must protect your mid turret... if you're a fed top or bot laner and your mid is behind at 14 mins- you must force the swap to insure the mid turret stays up. Games can snowball out of control if your mid turret falls too early. • Minimize your lost time (recalling, taking camps, wandering, etc.) When you're fed, you are in demand. You should be present on the map as much as possible. Don't be surprised when your teammates lose teamfights because you're not present.

I didn't understand the 4th mistake, lets get 18:20 for example, all we know is that brand is holding mid tower, what would be the best to do? Farm the wave that have met in the middle of the toplane then go river with nami for vision and regroup with team? maybe even get a pickoff? Isn't getting the gollems the safiest play for fiddle to just not afk doing nothing? he could get ganked on top turning a possible fight in herald a 4v5
@cheekybungus49262 ай бұрын
Rogue's point is the golems isn't actually the most productive thing to be doing. The golems will be there, regardless of what happens mid or top, and the only way we get more information is by helping nami out. If fiddles had gone and helped nami, he'd be there with his whole team in case a fight breaks out. If a fight didnt break out, the top wave could then be bouncing back, and fiddles could farm golems while waiting on minions to arrive, or force/deny a play using the newly gained vision control. The wrong order of operations leads to reduced efficiency, and lost opportunities.

you told about laners but what about jungler i cant take the mid or take my teamates wave
@pickyraccoon2 ай бұрын
Just apply the base line ideas to your role. 1 - It's about not over chasing and doing something with the map while most of the enemy team is dead. In the jungle you do it by leaving as soon as you identify the play being over and defaulting to important objectives > enemy camps > waves no one took > your own camps. Star pinging people to help you and they may stop chasing to do what needs to be done. 2 - It's about knowing how to prioritize what gives more gold and exp. Instead of just farming your own camps or ganking your hard losing lane, you identify your lane who is even or winning you play for them. Your top lane is crushing their enemy? You go there every time to dive, push the wave, hit the tower, then you go to the enemy jungle, uses the top laner pressure to steal jungle camps, and then you dive the poor enemy top laner again. You are basically getting fed, at the same time you're removing enemy JG and top laner from game, while also creating a monster top lane. That's the idea.
@pickyraccoon2 ай бұрын
3 - It's about map pressure and how important it is to have mid control. As a jungle, you can secure it by suggesting people X to defend the turret because you know he is more fed. Also, as a jungler, you can always spend a little time around mid just to create some pressure. Finished one quadrant of your jungle and the enemy mid is a little advanced in mid? Walk there and just show. Sometimes you don't even have to try and force a gank. Just showing you force them to walk back, releasing pressure and avoiding your mid tower to take damage. In general, you have to think about what you need to do to create pressure on enemy defending mid and forcing him to walk back and never hit your tower. Your mid is dead and you're farming your camps? Walk mid, pick the wave and force the enemy to not hit the tower. Your camps will be there anyway when you come back and your tower will be cool. Your mid tier 1 turret is the most important thing in the game, so find ways to help defend it. Even as a jungle, having your tier 1 mid turret facilitates your game so much. 4 - It's about uptime. It's a little like the number 2 when you need to think about maximizing your gains. In this case, you need to maximize your time doing something useful on the map. If you're spending time farming your camps while you could be stealing enemy camps or diving someone, you're basically doing things wrong. In this case, you need to start thinking what is the optimal thing to do with your time on map and also, the most important, timing your bases with objectives and you teammates. What's the point of you basing then coming back on the map right when your laner is recalling, so you can't do anything on the map with them.

good communication is key. It's why jungle is so hard. It requires the most communication and timing.

Macro is way more important than being fed. I have been in games when either I or some lane on my team was ahead, but they have zero macro, so when 1-3 people die, they just back like idiots and don't push lane (I can understand if they are super low like less than 15% HP or if they have 2k gold left to buy stuff) or take objectives. And then there are times when I as the jungler will ping multiple times to take dragon when the bot lane is free (1 or 2 or both plus jungler is dead) but they don't listen to my pings and try pushing the bot tower instead (which is bad later on but good early on). And people just don't listen to pings generally. Probably a lot of that is because a lot of people play camera locked and not unlocked, which allows you to see a good chunk of the map and you are not guessing and estimating stuff.

Noct player. "He absolutly deserves to win those games". Wanna bet? I perfectly know those kind of junglers. He afk farm for 25-30 minutes. He give enemy team dragons for free - instead of fighting for objectives he, LIKE YOU LIKE TO TEACH, afk farm. Pathing his jungle clearing so at the dragon time he is always in opposite side of map. Full clear jungle camps, then go for a possible gank on one of the lanes. Waiting till enemy engage and kill his laner, so he can ult into weakened enemy to get a kill. Maybe even invading enemy jungle, even if all other teammates are in a good position to engage enemy team near the dragon and most likely lose, because jungler decided NOT to participate in a fight and enemy had advantage in fight - 5v4 (noct in enemy jungle farming) or 4v3 (both top laners didnt come, noct in enemy jungle). Then noct waits till enemy get dragon and ult to get himself 1-2 kills. 53-47 laning score, noct farmed more camps then enemy jungle. Never pro-active. Never setup a gank or stop farming a camp to help his ally, when enemy chases him. Even if it happens in the range of his skills, he WONT stop farming jungle camp. Like it is not a human, but an AI-bot, following some kind of an algorythm.

Real Question: given the example @ 16:05 Why dose zeri not just freeze the lane for two waves and THEN hard shove right before drag comes up. like i understand the "needing lane prio take" but I don't understand why we need it all the time if no objectives are available to take. if we are looking for a fight at dragon, do we even win? and I do wonder however: do we even need dragon? Its second dragon, but we (we being me and zeris team) giga outscale and i feel like ocean is not THAT beneficial to take for the enemy team. I'm not sure there is enough info in the video to justify it tho, as we don't know the current condition of how our top did. and since its solo Q i think its hard to communicate this as top would also want to freeze until further notice. but im fairly certain we can drop bot t1 without major issues as it seem almost dead already. i am interested on hearing things i missed here. I also may be reading to much into this example as it is solo Q.

You can freeze only in laning phase. In mid game almost every champ have enough dmg to clear huge waves fast. So freezing is not correct. You waste time to build 2 waves and your opponent take it in seconds. If you clear wave fast you have tempo on map and you can do something and enemy must react for this.

Apply his advice with caution using your lead to save a losing lane more often then not is a very bad idea. Ex. If they are strong and you roam and the enemy it counters it, you are forced into a 2v2 with your weak teammate unable to counteract with you. Leaving you at risk of getting shutdown and giving your lane opponent experience while you are dead or basing wounded. Be careful of his advice because if it goes wrong you lose your own advantages. When you want to push your lead you need good vision and jg back up. If not side lane and force their strong players to come to you. If you make them react to you rather then having to react to them you have the advantage!

14:00 I often have a issue with this when I soloQ. Around 15min, the adc ALWAYS go mid and ask me to go bot. I play TF mid, I can always defend my turret with my wave clear, I always get prio because I one shot the wave and I can impact the whole map with my ult. Often, they either die or straight up move to a play without pushing the lane and we lose the mid turret in the next 1-2min. But it doesn't matter what I say, the adc refuse to listen and tell me to swap. Am I in the wrong? Shouldn't the adc (fed or not) stay bot to take turret or swap with top instead of mid if I'm going good mid with TF?
@oranaro90002 ай бұрын
You are in the wrong, more than just getting prio mid, it's a safe base for the adc, while you can clear the wave, you'll not make it a prio lane, as you won't pressure it. going bot or top with your ability to TP makes a higher pressure to the mid than having your adc unable to move while his opponent with tp can come anytime to herald/ tower mid. You also need a support as an adc, compared to midlaners, so as the support will have to move mid, leaving him alone is giving an easy trade for the ennemy if they are behind: let herald/mid prio and go for bot towerdive+ tower

Great tips but they do apply more for laners/jungler than they do for support. Yes, support players also can benefit from avoiding these mistakes but they do have less control over them. For example lane freezing/pushing is harder for enchanter/tank supports and if you're carry isn't on the same page when you push their wave it can hurt the lane more than it helps. Sure, not chasing kills, defending mid tower and joining fights in time are still good tips that mostly apply to this role but are there any big mistakes supports make that are not part of this list?

so if my teammates are trying to fight and i think its a bad idea to chase or fight im better off just shoving wave even if it pisses them all off for the rest of the game i didnt chase too?
@coderaven1107Ай бұрын
Yes. But from my experience it helps a lot to communicate that mindset to your team by pinging towers/waves, and pinging them back. Risk is that they are annoyed, but most of the time its no problem. I also do stuff like writing "dont overchase" or "fat wave bot" XD

This season I'm really struggling to close games with WW. I create big leads, but I get out scaled pretty hard by champions like Aurelion Sol and mid to late game the enemy is always able to turn the game around with good teamfights. My teamates most of time when I get a Baron will team fight instead of pushing waves, it's being fucking hard playing a perfect early game just to lose it in the end.

Yea the problem tho i have is when i get fed as a mage mid and am the strongest player and the adc on my team swaps to mid... and leeches my exp... and then i have to go to a side lane and then they let mid lane fall... like if i stay mid i split exp and get behind in cs... if i go bot to hold bot i lose mid and objectives on the other side of the map. If i tell my adc to stay bot they tilt out of their mind and everyones mental goes boom.
@kabebroad75298 күн бұрын
As a mid main as well, if you are strong as you say your wave clear is instant, you might share a couple waves but when the adc gets no farm they will leave. Don’t type to them or ping just sit mid and use all your abilities on the wave and they will leave. And those couple waves of shared xp is worth it to keep mid tower standing. And hey if they stay anyways you force an Aram mid lane and as the strong mage that’s an opportunity for you to show your stuff and make the enemy team give up the tower. Because no matter what’s been going on bot you’ve had solo xp all game long. You will outrange and out damaged an adc mid game easily.

Earlier scailing champions Nocturne more so loss because of the caught up bounty systems. Playing assassin like Nocturne fall off as game goes on and bounty gold they from there leads just make the them gold funnel for late scaling champion radc and tanks/brusier. Basically you just hold 5 kills of gold for later scaling champion later. This well cause the game to flip when you die. These cause a gold shock dif when late scaling champions co e on line.

The thing I wanna say about mistake 3 as an adc player is that, even if u know u should go mid, most of the time the actual midlaner doesnt understand the concept and tells u to f off. Most midlaners in my games dont even know that sidelanes exist
@viktordalberg565Ай бұрын
This happens so often for me. If this happens i think it's better to just perma shove waves in bot and absolutely bully the enemy adc, and make sure to secure drake with jgl. Luckily later on most midlaners do take the hint and go bot.
@darkgrundi9543Ай бұрын
mistake 3 is something you only need in mid elo onwards. Just pushing turrets anywhere is enough to get you to plat or emerald lvl. It's why Toplane is the easiest lane to climb with in low elo, but once enemies start to understand the concept of macro toplaners start to lose value as splitpushers, because the strongest member will just defend you.
@kabebroad75298 күн бұрын
Mid Laners usually have the best wave clear in the game. So unless you got super fed as the adc don’t just assume you get to go mid. The reality is the typical mid lane champion is designed to protect that tower better then an adc can and it is the most important tower in the game. And the risk of losing it because a squishy adc makes a mistake is not worth it. Plus mid laners tend to be midgame dominant champions that want to be involved in skirmishes and fights all over the map so don’t you want them in the best lane for rotations instead of the weak adc that needs 3 items to exist? (Obviously there are exceptions to the rules but I’m stating typical role archetypes)
@ukuviispert95998 күн бұрын
@kabebroad7529 midlaners in mosr cases have teleport. So when there is an actually necessary objective fight, they can still get there. Adc needs to stay with support for safety, meaninf if adc wants to safelt farm sidelane, support has to stay wirh him. Adcs are really immobile, meaning they likely cant rotate from the furthest sidelane to objective. Most midlaners however can. I'd much rather have both adc and support (aka 4 people) in a teamfight, rather than just the midlaner (aka 3 people). Especially when the midlaner may get to the fight as well anyways. Also, as u said, midlaners are midgame dominant. Meaning they can actually go to a sidelane and serve as a threat alone. Adcs require teamfights to shine. So yeah, Id much rather have adc+support in a teamfight while midlaner solos a sidelane, than have the midlaner in teamfight while the adc gets penetrated in a sidelane Edit: Ur waveclear point for defending turret at the end of the day doesnt really matter. Most turrets are lost from lack of effort for wave clearing, rather than not being able to wave clear
@kabebroad75298 күн бұрын
@ukuviispert9599 Number 1:Mids don’t always have teleport but if they do have it and it hasn’t been used sure that’s one specific nuance to my argument. 2.Adcs are not relevant in team fights till 3 items. 3.your support can rotate with the jglr to make it 4v4 without the weak adc that needs items. Whether you like it or not an adc dying in a side lane wont make or break a game until they actually hit lategame power spikes. In mid-game what makes or breaks the game is map control and objectives which are more likely to be obtained with your midlander in the mid lane playing with their jungler and sup. 4.Midgame dominant means they want to be in the fight and being late can mean a lost objective to the enemy and even if the mid cleans up the fight if you are all dead and they are bleeding having outplayed 3 or 4 enemies. They can’t do the objective by themself so at the end of the day if they were their and not the adc it would have been a better fight and an objective won. Especially since mids commonly have high threat or crazy zone control with their kits so people can’t just walk into your team. And your last point, regardless of why a tower gets taken, especially in ranked at supposedly equal skill, it is not an excuse for the adc to take the lane from the most capable champs to defend it. I personally love it when enemy adc and support rotate to mid. I just ping my jungler and we double kill them when they try to push me under tower and we get free map control. I think the adc ego for mid is one of the biggest game losing mindsets in league of legends. Again if you got fed and you are strong by all means take mid and get the mid tower as well and keep snowballing. But if you are going even or you are behind stay out of my lane.

Since I'm a jungle main, I had hoped you'd shed light on why that nocturne in the intro couldn't manage to carry his games. Sure, a jungler can rotate to lanes and help crash/push towers, but that's generally not the best use of our time, is it? That fiddlesticks at 18:43 is not only screwing up his tempo, he is also taking gold/exp from the carrying jungler when he himself lost his lane substantially. That is not only the hallmark of a bad player, but it shows that he's a horrible person. To be fair though, his recall is synched with jarvan's recall, which is also questionable. I assume that Jarvan took raptors to finish an item, or at least I hope so.
@darkgrundi9543Ай бұрын
jgl should play around his strongest member. If you strongest laner is top you dive with him 24/7 and get grubs, herald, enemy jgl whenever possible, if he is bot you do the same and get every drake, if he is mid you do a bit of both. In general ganking a hard losing lane is a lost cause and just another kill for the fed enemy. You only want to face the fed enemies if your own fed player is currently laning against them.
@SinzariАй бұрын
6:34 This feels a bit disingenuous, if you do get the kill, you're getting way more than that amount of gold and xp swing because the Kaisa would have a death time denying at least a wave and likely getting you a plate as well. I think as with everything in League, nuance is important and whether you should chase depends on how certain you are that you'll get the kill, and what objectives you would be able to get instead. In this case, I think chasing is a fine call if Kaisa doesn't have flash, so it's not a bad call by plat standards.
@darkgrundi9543Ай бұрын

@1:01 I'm sorry but the better solution is to find out where the apes on your team live and then make sure they can't ruin any more of your games - so you CAN spend the time chasing the kills and not lose. "My kda is the best on the team don't tell me what to do noob' ... what actual active impact are you having to further our wincon? I aloo yell at people for point 2. They sometimes get fed in kills and/or cs. I look mid or early late game and they are still freeze farming. The enemy outer tower stands there at 15+ minutes. I understand slow playing to farm up CS and kills but I get so mad. If you are ahead you can make gold by pushing each and every lane if you want. These players They don't group or push like its an infinite farming simulator.

I think in the case that you’re thanos, you split on the side opposite to an upcoming objective. The enemy wants your shutdown, so they send multiple people after you. Your objective is to look as juicy as possible without dying - preferably you just lose flash, tp, or ult to get out. Worst case scenario, you lose tempo, your team fails the 4v3, and the game is 90 percent over - however, you making the sack play brings the odds of certain loss up to *nearly* certain loss. The more likely scenario is either you escape or your team trades you for the objective: you are losing tempo to let your team regain tempo.
@NightstarReaperАй бұрын
I don't agree with calculating the enemies loss as a gain (you get 300, deny 300) doesn't mean 600g, it simply means you gain a 300g advantage. The enemy would have to lose (as in subtract from their current total) by 300 for it to he a 600g difference.
@Flossylearner1Ай бұрын
Thats exactly what is happening. That’s why it’s a 600g difference/lead. You both have 0dollars you made 300 they made 0 you don’t have 600 more but they can never make that 300 back they can only make a separate 300 in which you can too. Think of it as a race and instead of one player taking 600 steps further then the race starting. It’s more like the race was started but player two wasn’t allowed to start until player one has a 300 step lead. Now the only way player two could catch player one assuming they’re the same speed currently,is if the to double the steps per minute for one minute. so they would need to double the steps per minute effort to regain that 300 step disadvantage created before. So the gap to regain equality is 600 not 300. Make little more sense? Because remember player one is still moving 300 steps a minute they don’t stop. So while technically 300 ahead 600 is needed for player two to become equal in any given minute.
@NightstarReaperАй бұрын
@@Flossylearner1 thats rate of change, not about the difference between two players. This is also talking as though it is static. It is still only a 300g lead, not 600g difference. Rate of change is uniquely different and as well is listed at different timings, if you get an extra 300, you're at 600 and you're at 450, you have a higher rate of change in gold or derivative but that still doesn't reach 600g anywhere in the conversation. It's simple. People think that denying means they lose 300g, it doesn't. They get a 300g lead, that is all. Not a 600g lead.
