I don't eat breakfast and have lunch at 3:00 then may or may not eat again at 9:00 pm, if I do it's usually more ground beef and butter, or eggs and butter...I was such an out of control food addict, I've been set free of addiction at age 68, better late than never.

I am convinced that it is not menopause itself that put the weight on me but the mental change I made to begin "eating healthy" i.e. 3 meals a day, oats and fruit for breakfast, low fat milk, yoghurt etc, things I never did before menopause. THAT'S what piled the weight on. I'm convinced! I actually was naturally doing IF before menopause. It's taken me 2 years to realize this huge mistake and now I struggle to go back to 2 meals a day

@@LisaLisaD1 I’m down 50 lbs since New Years . I made my own diet. Only chicken and mozzarella . I also eat a banana and drink a coke once in a while. I also take quite a bit of supplements to support my immune system as I’m on low dose chemo and one to help with stress and also collage and vitamin D . I’ll be 50 in a few years, but I don’t have any wrinkles yet. I think it’s good genes mixed with the diet which give good fats to keep the skin firm. I also discovered that the old trusty Nivea cream in the blue metal container is a dupe for the la mer cream. It’s done wonders for my skin at 1% of the price ,I can slather myself in it several times a day and use it as a sleeping mask😀 Otherwise I use “the ordinary” skin products and Amika for my hair . My skin is glowy and my hair is no longer greasy at the roots or itchy in the scalp and not dry at the ends. I’ve stopped washing it every other day too, now that it doesn’t get greasy anymore. Only need a cut once a year . I feel so much better, my stomach issues -ibs is almost gone and so is my bulimia that I had for 35 years. I stopped drinking alcohol. I’ve always done intermittent fasting since I was a teenager without knowing it😂 And in Norway snacking really isn’t a thing, most people eat 4 meals a day , only warm food for dinner. I eat 2-3 times a day within a 8 hour window. I’m also no scared of salt, it’s so important for our brain and body to function properly. I’m not obsessed with food anymore, but I really like what I eat , I don’t get tired of it because I know it makes me feel good. I’m allergic to artificial sweeteners so I cannot do them. So if I indulge in a coke it’s a sugar one. I’ve ended up in hospital several times after drinking diet soda or zero soda, so never again ! No fake butter and real cream , cheese and sour cream in our house either. As long as you eat the right way, the cholesterol is not a problem , there are two different types of cholesterol , one “bad” and one “good” that we need to live! Luckily I’ve never been addicted to sweets or cakes. I also have gluten intolerance , so this diet has been a blessing. Your outfit looks amazing !! My daughter have those cargo pants, she wore them yesterday with a white cotton shirt tucked in the front. She looked amazing! She is a true natural beauty , 6f10 and 121lbs. She has changed her diet too,not to my extreme one, but she’s also lost 50 lbs in a year. Her ibs is gone too, no gluten and only lactose free dairy. She’s 23 and finally got her health back after struggling since she was 13. I love this and thanks for sharing your journey ❤️ Lots of love from Norway

Then slowly begin to change your eating. I'd do 2 days carnivore then 5 days keto every week you can increase your carnivore day by 1 until your 6 days carnivore 1 day keto. Love your motivating carnivore videos Lisa - I need to do this now! I have followed you religiously for many years and have watched you loose weight, gain confidence and beauty, and feeling good about your appearance, and I want to do this for me too. I dont know why its taken me so long (2 years) to decide, but I feel now its the time. I want to feel truly good about my body next summer. Have gained 40 pounds thanks to lock downs, menopause, tubs of ice cream, crisps and a huge lack of will power, and have just let myself go. I love both the shrimp, the chicken thighs, the rib eye steaks, the eggs, the hamburger patties, the cheese - and I never eat before noon anyway, so the diet will not be a problem for me food wise. But I will need the occasional glass of dry white wine with my husband and my friends, as it means so much to me and adds quality to my life (but I can surely cut down a lot) I will do this, starting tomorrow. Thanks for pushing me in the right direction Lisa! I am by the way truly amazed how fit your arms look, wish you would share a specific video on your strength exercises that you do every night! I;m 43 with pretty serious IBS, GERD, hormonal and autoimmune issues, early onset arthritis, hypertension since 19 years old and the list goes on. Just 10 days in and my BP has completely normalized! You are so inspirational! I found your video just now, after a year. I am in my 23th day of carnivore and what you are telling is what I needed! I am 70 and have been vegetarian, macrobiotic, Paleo, then Paleoish, acid free diet (lots of veggies, spinach..)for my Gerd, then heard of the benefits of Carnivore and decided to do for 1 -3 months to give it a try. I needed to lose weight , not so much, but because I was falling for desserts it was hard to maintain a diet. Plus my fat distribution was around my short waist. Throughout my first 2-3 weeks of carnivore I had experience many good things plus other undesirable ones I will mention later. Thinking that I might get my favourite chocolate cake or my Friday glass of wine in the future, I was happy doing the carnivore. But now my mind set of living for eating food is changing for eating food for living. I grew up in a family which food is the biggest motivation for social, holidays, birthdays. My mom had three choices of home made desserts, which I chose them all. I had cooking lessons, trillions of cooking books, (there was no internet at that time), and my life was happy entertaining guests at home. So there is a lot to change . I love the simplicity of the carnivore cooking. More time to play my piano and do my other hobbies. I still work and it also helps to keep me running into my routine. But as you said, I watched many videos searching for more information and somehow got so confused with so many different advices. I do not know exactly what are macros, how many % of fat per protein grams, some say to add a small veggie amount, to fast, to eat omad, to do a fat fast….. I got very confused and a lot of hesitation. You have me confidence again and get on track to listen to my body and see what works for me, thank you!

I just started my carnivore journey 5 days ago. I have done Keto with great results. My goal is not necessarily loose weight but to reduce my inflammation in my body, back pain, feet pain, arthritis. Anyways. I have been supper strict, At the beginning the fat intake made me so nauseous but kept going. Now I crave it. Everything you are doing is right. Thank you so much for your advise.

so glad i found you -- totally relatable to everything you said! I started with Paleo, went to Keto -- now carnivore for about 2 yrs. I've reached a plateau and would like to lose about 10-15 lbs. I've relaxed my schedule a bit (adding in snacks -- as I've quit smoking recently). You've motivated me to get back on track. Thank you!

Thank you for your video. I have tried to be carnivore for the past four years and always break down and go back to carbs whenever I am under stress... once I fall, it is extremely hard to get back on track, but I really want to lose weight and be the person I know I can be. When I am slim, I feel amazing and proud of myself. When I eat carbs they go right on my tummy and I feel so ashamed of myself... that I don't even go out anywhere or see anyone. I am so tired of this isolated life with no joy... I am trying again today to get back to strict carnivore as I absolutely know that I have less pain and more self-confidence when I eat only beef, salt and water.

Fun fact: all beef is grassfed at least half their lives. If they are not grass finished they’ll go on to a mix of grass and grains and vitamins etc. Then, they’re at the feed lot just until they reach market weight at which point they are culled and slaughtered. This is why the nutritional difference between grass finished and conventional beef is very minimal.

I have been overweight most of the time that I've been married, and it started in the beginning with infertility issues. Fast forward 21 years and I want to be healthy and just be able to dress, look and feel pretty again. I am a juicy couture kinda girl, so I am definitely going to check out the perfume that you mentioned! I am going to subscribe and check out your other videos! Love these videos!! I can totally relate to your dreams of eating something bad and feeling terrible and then waking up and being so relieved it was just a dream. I have those all the time! 😂 I've been living ketovore since 2008 , before it was a even a "thing." At that time, I lost all the weight I had gained from pregnancies and birth control and have kept it off since. I can not recommend it enough. To everyone out there, there is hope and YOU CAN DO IT. It's just a matter of being ready for the commitment and change of life and habits. ❤️❤️❤️

I've been thinking about eating this way for a while. I'm 42 and in good shape, but I am usually bloated, sluggish and my joints are starting to ache. I've been sober from alcohol for 17 years now, and what you said about alcohol is so true--I don't miss alcohol and I don't really avoid situations where there is drinking. I order a sparkling water and no one cares or notices. I leave when folks are getting tipsy and no hangover the next day. I may try this for 30 days and see what happens. Thanks for sharing your experience on eating this way!

Lisa.. I have commented before on your other videos on the Carnivore Diet. I started eating a Carnivore Diet to help with my chronic migraines. Eating this way stopped my breakthrough migraines for four months (since March). I had the thought that maybe I could add a few carbs (mushrooms, a bit of spinach, a bit of fruit).. Yeah! That was definitely was not good for me! I was slammed with a migraine attack that I just got over a day ago.. I immediately stopped that and I have gone back to what was working-just Carnivore. Slowly feeling better and I realized that I need to stick with has been working for me. No carbs whatsoever.. and I k ow that that is what is best for me. I definitely agree with you that you have to do what’s best.. I am more than happy to give all that stuff up as it keeps my migraines away. I have endless energy and I sleep so well. With my migraines, I was feeling exhausted and I needed to sleep in the middle of the day and I had no energy..

I read that taste buds regenerate approximately every two weeks, so we should be able to retrain them, and we can, however our minds and personal experiences often have more to do with why we start to like or dislike a new food. Dr Barbara Taylor warned that menopausal women tend to crave wine. And it's probably my biggest battle. My husband cannot believe how easy change (and success) come for me, once I finally decide to do whatever I set my mind to. I went from 145 lbs to 120 lbs on carnivore (Thanks, in great part to you.) But giving up that glass of wine in the evening, is something I continue to struggle with...

Make a rule that every time you crave a glass of wine, you have to have sex with your husband before you can have it. The alcohol consumption will cut down real quick 😜

Your videos are a godsend to me. I am post menopausal and started developing GI issues. It is pretty severe and unwavering. The only thing that has helped me is keto. So far keto friendly veggies are not bothering me 🤞I cannot drink alcohol or caffeine (very hard on the gut) The only thing I can drink is water. I think if you have had gut issues you will do anything to change that .. .. so NO CHEATING .. .. I think I will forever have PTSD surrounding food. Horrible. I am sorry you had to deal with this too but your videos are so very helpful to me. God bless you, Lisa.

Hi Lisa! My name is Carolyn and I’ve just recently come across your channel and I’ve been loving watching your makeup, skincare and clothing videos! One day about a week or so ago, one of your carnivore videos popped up and I loved it so much, I watched all your videos that I could find where you talk about carnivore. I have been reading and watching videos about carnivore for over a yr trying to learn more about it. I have done Keto off n on for several years now, But during the last couple of yrs there’s been so much going on in the family and in life in general, especially with Covid happening everywhere, that I’ve not been sticking with it regularly. I lost my childhood best friend almost a yr ago(Sept 3rd) she battled an illness for over 3 yrs and it took a toll on me! I’m a 55 yr old wife, mother of 6, grandmother of 7 and very soon to be 8 grandchildren, and I love everyone with all my heart! But with losing my friend, life and Covid changing the world for us all, I just kind of stopped taking care of myself and wasn’t eating low carb anymore bc it was more difficult to fix the family meals and then myself separately, that I just didn’t have the time to do both. I wasn’t eating a lot at all or even several meals a day either. I usually did OMAD, but it was the kind of food I was eating….things with carbs! Don’t get me wrong,I try to feed my family as healthy meals as we can afford, but none of them wanted to eat girl Keto with me and it’s a lot to cook for your family and then separately for yourself. I have definitely found that carbs aren’t my friend anymore! Lol! Idk if I’ve gone through, or am currently going through menopause right now, bc after our 6th child was born,a few months later, I had to have a partial hysterectomy. So in order to find that out, I’d have to have a bunch of blood work done. I know that I have to have at least started it bc the weight almost two yrs ago started to pack on in my midsection. I’m 5’4” and very short waisted and have always gained some weight in the middle even before having children, if I gained it would be my stomach and my arms, and even though I still gain in those same trouble places, it’s coming on in a different way. I lost all the weight after every child by working hard at it and watching what I ate and kept it off until a about 4 yrs ago and I gained some. Then I lost too much. But then got back to where I wanted to be, but when my friend got ill and Covid happened, and stress in my life almost every day to the extreme, it took a toll on me and the weight just came on so fast! I gained about 60 lbs!😢 I’ve lost over 30 lbs, but Keto just wasn’t working anymore. I too suffer from stomach and intestinal issues. I have since I was a baby! About a month or so ago,I started doing carnivore and lost almost 10 lbs, but hit a plateau and I believe it’s bc I was not eating enough (In my head I still got stuck in calorie restricting mode in my mind. Old school way of thinking the way we were taught yrs ago, which I know is wrong!) plus I notice just like many have said, that doing carnivore has caused bathroom issues, and with IBS, that bad enough without adding the carnivore bathroom issues to it. So I’ve tried to cut back on some of the fat like one person I watch on KZbin said to try, and slowly add in more a little at a time. I honestly had recently stopped carnivore bc some things happened and gained back about 6-7 of the almost 40(doing Keto and Carnivore) I’d lost in total. Now I’ve got about 37 to go to get back to where I feel and look my best. I’ve watched all of your videos I’ve posted about your carnivore journey, but I haven’t seen anything about exactly how you started carnivore, and what you went through, if you had any bathroom issues, and if so, how long did it last for you? How long it took for you to get fat adapted and what you ate in the beginning…. If you ate full fat from the start, or if you gradually upped your intake etc? How long it took you to lose the weight and how much at a time on avg did you lose a week etc. I was wondering if you would make a full length video/videos answering these things for us? You’re so down to earth and honest and I just love watching all of your videos about EVERYTHING! So I really value your input as an every day woman like so many of us are that watch you! It’s great to watch Dr.Berry,Dr Berg and so many experts like them, but it’s good to see real women like you, and a few other women I’ve come across on KZbin, that are every day like us, talk about your actual experiences. You just have a way of talking to us as if we’re all best girlfriends sitting around chatting and trying to help one another! I’ve decided I’m going back on Carnivore and I’m going to stick with it this time bc I felt so much better (except the tummy stuff). I wasn’t bloated, and I didn’t feel like my hands, arms, legs and feet were tight from water retention. I have several things wrong with my back and am always in pain, but don’t take meds for it,but my back and joints were feeling so much better! My husband wants to try it with me as he’s over weight and has knee pain. I suggested to him to start with Keto until he gets used to eating low carb, and then go carnivore. I’m so used to fasting that it’s a breeze for me, but that’s something he’d have to get used to. He’s 7 yrs my senior and is old school way of thinking that if your tummy starts to growl, you’re hungry. A lot of women out there like me, would love to know more details about your journey. I know that each of us have to find what works best for us, but when we see women like you tell your stories and how you’ve done things along the way, that kind of gives an idea of how to get started, so we each can try and tweak things for ourselves as we go, by getting ideas from every day women like you and other women I’ve seen on KZbin, that are being bold enough to talk about their carnivore journeys. I’ve read in the comments of some of your videos, where people have written negative things about you talking about carnivore. PLEASE DON’T LISTEN TO THEM! Please keep on being you, and share about things that you feel passionate about, bc you have no idea how much it means to a lot of us, that you’re so genuine! Let those that don’t agree, just move on to someone else’s channel if they don’t like what you have to say. They don’t know what they’re missing! It’s not every day these days, that you come across someone like you, that’s transparent, honest and real, and I for one am very thankful that The Good Lord let me come across your channel! I just love all of your videos that I’ve seen so far( I’m going to have to binge watch them bc there’s so many that are of interest to me! Lol!) Thank you Lisa, for being so REAL with all of us in everything you share! Keep them coming please!😊 God Bless You and Your Family!

I’m so glad that you talk about how important fat and cholesterol are! Women especially because we need those for our hormones to be ideal and to be at optimal health and fertility (as an indicator or general good health, not necessarily to get pregnant). I also agree with you that on carnivore we will get to a place where our physical hunger will be satisfied and cravings will be curbed or ended. I’ve been 100% carnivore for periods of time but currently I’m technically ketovore as I have been enjoying these silly wheat free keto muffins from the freezer section that are made with zucchini and some other stuff. I’m planning to stop those once I run out honestly but they’re probably contributing to the knee pain I’m having currently. I’m stubborn and definitely have struggled with disordered eating but keto and carnivore have been fantastic for me for numerous reasons, including but not limited to getting me to a size 4. I do think carnivore is a fantastic option for those wanting to get free from food addiction and maybe some EDs too because it can eliminate sugar and carb addiction. I wish everyone the very best!

Lisa, I have to tell you that I just returned from Chicago after attending my grandson’s wedding and I got acrylic nails and had them painted in the China Glaze “Rose Among Thorns” and I cannot tell you how so many people paid me a compliment on my nails. Returning to Houston, I sat across the aisle from this beautiful family from New Zealand! The young lady had to enter the brand and name on her iPhone Notes so she could remember to order it. I was even able to order this precious A-line midi dress that was an exact match to the color of my nails, I wore that dress to the Rehearsal Dinner. Dress was only $30, but who knew? Only me!! I learn so much from you, Lisa and I just want to thank you for that! You make so many lives so much better!! God love you for that!! 💕💞

You look fabulous. Carnivore is so easy,if you keep it simple. Your are correct, stay simple and basic and before you know it IF will happen. My husband’s doctor took him off his diabetes medication,we didn’t tell he was just carnivore only he had cut carbs. Carbs and sugar were wrecking havoc on his body. But your right, you have to be sick and tired of being sick and tired.

One of my co-workers brought a cake today, with guava filling. I love guava but I had no problem passing by that plate! I knew I was coming home to air fryer shrimp (dipped in crushed pork rinds) and braised boneless beef short ribs. I have been a meat lover all my life, but was raised in a blue collar family with a mother who wouldn't get a job outside the home but hated to cook, so most of what we ate was carbs of some sort, a lot of pasta and a lot of sandwiches on Roman meal bread which is basically Wonder bread dyed brown, with a little bit of meat because that's what we could afford. Now, as an adult, if I find meat on sale, I stock up my freezer. I have eggs and a little bit of cheese in my fridge, and I have never been so happy with my meals. I'm not new to carnivore, but I'm getting into it again because I need to lose the weight due to borderline hypertension and arthritis. With all of these amazing videos on KZbin, I'm finding ways to keep it from being boring.

The moment I heard the word "fat" come out of your mouth and how you extol its virtues, I knew that you are the "real thing". I've been carnivore for nigh on eight years now and eat up to eight kilogrammes (17 pounds) of animal fat every month. The meat I eat is venison. We buy enough every hunting season to last an entire year and are fortunate enough to have butcheries that will sell us blocks of fat weighing around 10kg. The carnivore "diet" is incomplete without a lot of fat: no oils or margarine, just animal fats and butter. Keep going, Lisa: you're doing the world a great favour!

I'm a little frustrated at my stall, but think when the cold weather breaks here in Northern Wisconsin, and I can get out more, I'll start losing again. Feeling great though and many of my health issues have either resolved themselves, or have at least, improved! Great video. 👍

Miss Lisa, thank you so much for all the Carnivore videos and the future carnivore videos. I started embarking on carnivore as well and found very comfortable results from doing it. I didn’t lose the amount of weight that you did nor do I look like you, but I have found it to be very comforting in making me feel more positive about myself. I will say, though, for the summer I have kind of taken a break from carnivore and have allowed myself to indulge in some bad habits again. I will however get back on the train as I know it’s easy to do getting off and getting on this train. I hope you will address some of your viewers who are a little weaker and need to jump back on the train again. Love you Lisa
