high altitude is all fun and games until you meet the electro-optical-only flanker who appears out of nowhere directly beneath you :D but yeah, that is life

Lmao just today my brother and I were flying formation at 25k with an f18 and f16. We felt invincible, we both had the best wingman we could wish for and the skies were ours... And then a lone SU27 shot us both without us ever knowing he's there 😂

1:50 And it’s right then and there where you rip your wings off, plummet into the ground and die. Oh wait, ED has yet to model over speed on the Hornet. 🤦♂️

Yeah bro, the same game where you can pull hard on the stick and roll causing a missile to just fly past you is the hardcore simulator we've all been wanting.

Fighting high is a useful skill and tactic, but it's not the end-all either. If your only goal is defense and you don't need to actually get kills, being high and fast, taking long shots, and just running repeatedly (the average GS player and basically every F-16) works fine. But it doesn't kill a knowledgeable opponent, and trying to just push them can open you up to more dangers. Fighting isn't "get high and fast and shoot further." Nor is it "hide and pop up for a shot." Fighting is fighting: Figuring out how to outplay a thinking opponent trying to do the same to you. This example is a great tool to use toward that, but it's also just that - a tool. The bigger your toolbox, the better!

The point isn't about Mach 1.6, but take 4 Sparrows, 2 9ms, and throw your centerline and fly at 35k and you WILL get there.

I been playing a couple months, got the whole tracking Hotas thing and blah blah. Spent like $1k in a month lol But I have not ran into a single enemy on an online server. I can connect and start my jet and get up in the air but idk where everyone is lol.

Have you checked out any of the bigger Discords like Hogs? The more objective based servers help keep people concentrated near objectives. I think Growling Sidewinder's server is pretty good for PvP too.

If you can't find anyone, then you're not ready to play PVP.
