Massive props to Henry for acquiring a decent landing net. Makes getting fish like that out of the water so much easier. I reckon you'd benefit from using one while single hook bait fishing for big cats, too.

Hi, Tyler and greetings from Portugal, on the other side of the Atlantic !! I've seen a lot of your videos but this one is my favourite because of the great shape carp ! I wish I could have a backyard like this !!! I've been fishing for carp for over 40 years (I'm 56) and it's simply my favourite freshwater fish. They always put up a big fight and never surrender, even the smaller ones. Allow me to give you some ideas/"tips". If the area you fished is not very searched for carp, the chumming technique you've made is deadly and will separate the big fish from the smaller ones. The french call it «Pêche à l'ancienne» which means «old school carp fishing». You bait your spot with a seed mix for 3 days at the same time of the day and start fishing on the 4th day. The difference is that you should use one the seeds. My favourite would be large corn, boiled at home with your favourite scent, live strawberry or fishmeal ou monstercrab. You should also use longer rods (12/13 feet) and more powerfull, perhaps like one of the lighter rods you use for catfishing. The reels should also be more on power than speed, like some baitcasting models from Daiwa or Shimano. The rig should be an hair-rig so that carp can be more confident with bait. They chew with the throat but if they sense the hook when inhaling the bait they will spit out right away!! Well, enough with the talk and tight lines and great catches !

If you watch any of the Korda videos on professional carp fishing in the Euro pay lakes, those guys chum endless supplies of boilies, hemp, and boiled corn in order to attract the fish onto their bait rigs. No need to get so frustrated.

@PsychicPsychToad2 күн бұрын
Lol You don't HAVE to have a hooking mat dude! It's more for the angler to feel better about themselves anyways!

most of them the mouth toward down, not like a normal carp, just like black carp or white sucks, but both of them is slim, not so fat
