If you’ve seen just about any promotional material about Guyana you have probably seen Kaieteur. The giant waterfall is located on the Potaro River in Kaieteur National Park. The falls are famous but did you know that everyone has been getting its name wrong? To make things even crazier, the origin of its name either tells the story of a beautiful and touching act of self-sacrifice or just plain murder of the elderly. Censorship, George? What's offensive? I said I'd heard Kaieteur got its name from the aborigine practice of sending their aged over the (Old Man) falls when they became useless! Either you deleted that or it was deleted by a Canadian government criminal who has been plaguing me since 2005. I know too much that could be dangerous to their illegal stocktrading!

This is so stupidly funny.🤣🤣🤣 The "teur" does not "roughly translate" to waterfall, it refers to the action of falling, as in Kai "fell off" or went over the waterfall. Or if you're talking about the story of the Touchau, it refers to the loss of their leader, the fall of Kai. Would be nice if you could fact-check the shid you say sometimes, but at least the confidence was there.
