Always loved this car ... owned one some 24 years ago, driving around the Australian outback! Such fun, such character, style and brilliant design form, so easy to drive. But oh, the price ... :-) ... spend 10,000 RM more and you have yourself a Ford Ranger Platinum! Come on Suzuki ... do everyone a favour and bring the price to the competitive market.

I bought my Mazda 3 with all the bells and whistles for $30500 aud. The jimny is more expensive than a modern comfortable and safe car but I still am tempted. I like the size, 4x4 capability and how basic it is.

Needing an ignition key is a local market issue, in Japan it has a push button start. It also has reverse sensors and camera here as well.

Yes that is true. Some of the parallel imports here have start buttons and other features as well.

on my daily driver Honda i like having push start, EPB, etc. but on my jimny i prefer it w/ twist key, manual parking brake, mechanical a/c vent controls, mechanical transfer case lever, mechanical a/t shifter, etc

Keshy, I'm a fan of your Piston Show for awhile now. But I cannot agree with your review of this Jimny, you described it as "fantastic", "love it" "so nice", "brilliant" ....for no less than 5x😅. Buy for the kids if it's RM110-120k...wow rich parents uh? Bet the kids would opt for the modern Myvi instead (3x cheaper) . This Jimny is so 1960s. Are you serious, good for everyday use, even long journey 😮? You couldn't even share the fuel consumption too! Yes, it's charming & solid character....that's about it. Period 😅 Your opening 60 secs should have been your summary instead 😂.

Hi, thank you for your support and I would buy you a cup of coffee (or something stiffer if you are so inclined) for dealing with me throughout the videos. I know that not all reviews are what people like to see or even agree with. That is the thing about reviews, they are all subjective and open for debate. What I may like, some may not. And yes I did miss out on the fuel consumption, and only found the adjustment knob to show the AVC on the day I returned the car (stupid). But I really like the Jimny, I like how slow it is and it takes me back to a time where life was slow. It is nostalgic and hence why I even wouldn't mind driving it daily. The only thing that ruins it for me is the 2-speaker sound system and the price. I could debate this all day, you may want to take up my offer for coffee.
