Side note, this makes buying mods from vendors to crush into Printer Filament for Expertise a whole hell of a lot simpler. I was buying a mod from the vendor and when I bought dupes of the same mod the first one I bought remained in my inventory but the rest of the ones I bought were automagically crushed into printer filament saving me the hassle of marking them all as junk and deconstructing

Thank you for pointing this out. Skill mods were a huge pain for me to collect, I'm far from high meta endgame levels, but skill mods constantly stack up and my desire or ability to go through all of them has been at an all time low. The way you describe this, it almost sounds like a portable auto updating library. As long as we can hold all the different mod types, we don't have to spend time checking each one. As long as we pick up all the mods, they'll automatically update to the highest roll. That's exceptional, I really love that.

Also, what I've heard/read was the mods aren't value specific, but exclusive to the "name" of the mod. So, if you have a mod in your inventory and you pick up one with a different name that you don't have, has a lower value but also fills the same slot, it won't automatically deconstruct.

​@@billmann9947it wasn't a "decision". It's simply a constrain of the system. They would need to make a HUGE rework to make the system work as it "should".

@@paulocarvalho1982 Wouldn't take a huge rework. All they would need to do is make the names of all the mods the same (or depreciate/keep from dropping), instead of having multiple names that do the same thing. It is a ridiculous thing and never should have been in the game in the first place.

Here is my issue with this new system - I have 4 characters and my "main" character has most maxed skill mods. However, when playing the game on my main and encountering almost max skill mods, i typically would put them into stash to update my other characters whose mods may still be lower until they get max rolls. Now with the current system you do not get the chance to do this... big brother has decreed it. If you can't manage skill mod inventory (which is a small part of all other mods, weapon and armor ,etc..inventory) then you are going to run into inventory issues with everything else anyway. After all the years of division 1 & 2 not having this "feature"and us all still breathing, I think their time would have definitely have been better spent working on something else (like testing their updates prior to each ever more frequent broken release).

Your issue is that you play with 4 characters like damn 😂😂😂😂😂 what's the fuckin point you do know you can have multiple builds with a click of a button also if you stick with one ch you will eventually end up with 5x the gear and mods

2 things of note, they have to have the exact same name for it to auto crush. And If you have say a 6.9 mod favorited and pick up a 7.0 it will not crush the 6.9 because it's saved as favorite. You'll now have a 6.9 and a 7.0

I've voiced my opinion on this a couple of times but now that you brought it up..... I am now at a point (and have been for a few weeks) where my printer filament is 9999 so when my mods are auto crushed I get NOTHING, they just fall on the floor. IMO this was not needed, in the 5 years I've played this game I have NEVER ran out of Mod space So now I can no longer 1. Sell them. 2. Save them to crush later when I have printer filament space again and with the introduction of new gear to make proficient I will. 3. Give them to my friends or other players I play with. 4. Give them to my other 3 Toons. Instead they just drop on the floor and I get nothing, this was not asked for and not needed.

Would definitely have been nice if they'd added it as an optional opt-in menu setting, so that people can retain the full autonomy if they prefer. I know there are many out there who'd prefer to automate *a lot* of their looting experience, but that's far from everyone

I think it is time to remove caps from materials altogether, it was designed to time-gate progression, at this stage of game life, it simply hinders effective optimisation and exportise which are still very hungry material dumps. Remove the caps and let the figures simply accumulate across the account. Done.

​@@RogueGoldThis whole system doesn't work as it should, I have a 4.8% mod in the drone, the damage in the chest was 4.9% and when I took it, it was automatically deleted, and by the way, this game has only errors

Does it not replace it if the mod is the same type, different value, but different name? I notice yesterday I had a new shield health at 4.3 and the shield health on my shield was 3.9 (same slot, but different name) I had to go into each shield and change the mod for each load out. Am I missing something?

@@RogueGold seems like the system falls short there as I don’t see a reason why the name would make anyone hold back from exchanging to a higher value of the same mod type. This gap makes it so yesterday I had to go into every load out individually and change that specific mod. Unless I’m missing a way to do this that isn’t this tedious. So good concept but not fully fleshed out yet I think

i tried buying mods to crush for filter fillament i dont think i get the resources for it i bought alot form vendor and it would only display one but i dont think me resource count increased

I was anticipating this feature in Project Resolve, but only because I misunderstood it to mean ALL mods. Because both mod types use the same pool of storage, this change doesn't meaningfully resolve the problem of constantly being out of mod storage space, unfortunately. :\

There really needs to be an option for this, especially for maxed out mods that you already have and want to share with a friend. I favourite all my mods so I don't delete them accidentally, but now I have to collect them as a favourite just so it doesn't get deleted... then I can share them! But it's making the process so much more time consuming I'd prefer to have the option to disable this bollocks or at least just for maxed out mods!

Next update: Custom attachments. C'mon man! Currently, we can select an attachment for each weapon mod slot with a specific stat locked into it. Examples: - Large Suppressor: Accuracy +10% - Omega Suppressor: Stability +20% Optimal Range -10% - Flash Hider: Critical Hit Damage +5% Etc... It would be so cool/much better if we could select a specific stat mod for the muzzle, scope, grip, etc... and then the visual mod for the slot. (suppressors would also add the sound change) Examples: - Critical Hit Chance +5%, then choose your appearance mod. - Critical Hit Damage +5%, then choose your appearance mod. - Accuracy +10%, then choose your appearance mod. - Stability +20% Optimal Range -10%, then choose your appearance mod. This would allow all players to edit the look/sound of their weapons to their liking. I feel like this would be a massive hit for The Division community.

If they are doing it this why they need to work like weapon attachments. Once unlocked you have for everything. It’s an ok idea but implemented poorly. I would like this for all modes. I farm and get myself a max roll crit damage and I can then put that in anything like how I can put weapon attachments on anything. Looks like there doing that. If you remember weapon modes in div1 you had to farm for every weapon you wanted to use it on. Now you unlock it and have it. I would like that for all modes across weapons, gear and skills.

I think this is usefull it's a pain to check the mods every time you fill up. Plus you can't deconstruct all categories at once

That made sense, I level up new character recently from level 1 to 40 not boosted, my mods for this character is crappy, CHC only 2.3 % CHD only 9% from level 38 or 37, so I buy from vendor got CHC 4.6% and CHD 10.8%, then I tried craft from table, CHC and CHD dissapearing without expleanation, so the answer is I'm not so lucky with slot machine, got below already got from vendor.

It's only skill mods, so why would you want to keep the lesser ones? You can only equip one at the time, so why would you want to equip a low one?

I only noticed it with the decoy also but didn't think anything of it. I'm still trying to figure out how to change the look of my memento backpack. I did the whole switch back and forth thing, but I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or is it because I'm on a console. I could use some help if anyone can spare a few moments of your time.

@stevec6965 Exotics aren't intended to be able to be transmogged, the only way you'd be able to do it is to take advantage of the appearance bug that's been around for a little while. I'm usually fixing the look of my backpack, so I can't actually think off the top of my head how to do it in reverse to intentionally trigger the bug. They moved item skins of that type to new categories within the Apparel Menu, scroll down below where Backpack Trophies/Shoes are and you should find them there 👍

@jonfaber4836 For future releases or Division 3, it would definitely be nice if we had more agency in deciding how automated or not looting/management could be. Some people love to have all loot of certain rarities/rolls deconstructed, some want full autonomy. It's hard to strike the perfect balance

Thank god. It was such a waste of time to have to compare and manage these. Zero value to holding inferior or dupe skill mods. It’s a shame it wasn’t baked in at the start, so it feels like an obtained upgrade and less like a mod loss to people.

Those are mods you specifically unlock with the Specialization exclusive variant of that skill, so in this instance you get a few unique mods alongside the Artificer Hive while using the Technician Spec. They're red to indicate the fact that they're "locked," I can't use them unless I have Technician equipped.

Give us more inventory space, make stash boxes individually to store gear and mods the yellow stashed boxes in NYC map are there to collect dust instead of being used to store gear guns, etc

they could also do a shared loadout storage for your god rolled high expertice set gear for pvp, pve etc, maybe 2 free from reaching lvl 30 then wony, other you could purchase off the store page if you need more of it

@aceflores4533 More storage requires more server space and resource budgets for the game, and unfortunately the Devs have said we're at capacity. We'll see if they can formulate some other long-term solutions

No way man, that would be a nightmare.... 😞 If you have one 12% CHD mod the game would auto delete anything from 11.9% and below. Imagine that happening to a newer player who gets so stoked about finding his first one, only to realise what that means 😂

No More Division for me. My Ubisoft account got hacked (28th of march) and I am completely locked out of my account! I had over 7000! hours in division and over 4000 hours in Division 2. Ubisoft did not give me one reply to my tickets, I applied multiple tickets, even with proof that my account was logged in from another country! So is this the kind of company Ubisoft is? Combined I have over 11000(!) hours in the Division franchise but I see no effort from them to restore my account so I can play again! If anybody has any useful tip for me on how to get my account back, please enlighten me.

You can go with a hazard protection or PFE build and use scorpios, or just very high dps - it's absolutely doable.

If you're referring to Skill Mods specifically, mods stay slotted into whatever Skill they're assigned to, so using the same Skill/Mod combo across two different builds is fully possible

Crafting ANYTHING for optimization is a HUGE pain in the ass, having to click each SINGLE craft 1 at a time. Massive NEEDS to implement the same slider as the watch for ALL crafting!!!!

Since it has a slower fire rate, Strained can be quite good if you're building into Crit. Otherwise things like Optimist are always good, Flatline is strong if you have a source of pulsing.

Please do a video on you can do raids in normal mode but you have do start a raid and then talk to the person, raid details, search for agents I don’t see anything on this!!!

Not sure I fully follow what you're asking. The Normal difficulty of Raids do not offer in-game matchmaking, so you have to source external LFG tools to find a group

Hey rouge so last week when our sniper rifles got messed the first time I put them in my stash and waited but I crafted two new ones to use while I waited for my others to be fixed and the new guns I crafted came with determined on them and when they updated the game my new snipers I crafted were messed up and had random talents but my original one were fixed how did they fix a problem then do it agin ?

Simple there was a talent issue with weapons. They had to revert something which would fix the effected weapons and anything you crafted or recalibrated during that time would be effected after the pushed out the fix. This is why there was a message at login telling ppl to refrain from recalibrating. Anything you crafted or recalibrated during that time would probably be effected after the update came out. They prob just didn't think to include crafting in that message.

@PHREEEEZY21 Daria (the game's Community Developer) explained on Twitter that weapons that were obtained in that week between TU20.2 and the fix going live were also subject to whatever bug was present, meaning their originally dropped talents were incorrect. So all weapons across the board that were changed with the maintenance this week now have the "correct" talents 👉 x.com/Daria_General/status/1772925022916550907?s=20

So if I am holding mods. That are level 30 for a character I'm building up. Are those going to be deleted? If I have lvl 40 ones

@IvoryTaurean Honestly I am not sure how Level 30 mods would play into all of this. Most features the Devs develop these days are intended for the Level 40 Endgame, so it's hard to know how Level 30 stuff plays into that

@RogueGold no. I wasn't even mad about that... this happened couple months back. Example: I had nice healer build to which either my vest or backpack had a talent that when I threw a grenade, it would put my skills In over drive since I was at skill tier 6. Can't find that shit anywhere

Since players need more than 1 of Gear Mods to fill out a build (if you want 3x crit damage mods, etc.) it wouldn't really work to apply the same system there

I understand the reason why this feature exists and I appreciate their intention, but… why? Why waste resources on this feature when people can, you know, just delete obsolete mods as soon as they find better rolls? Do they really think people are too forgetful or stupid to do this stuff themselves? I don’t know, seems like a waste of time and resources for me.

I don't think it has anything to do with intelligence or forgetfulness. It's been proven that an overabundance of menu and inventory management can be a big turn-off for many players of this genre, so I think they saw an opportunity to potentially reduce that strain with this change, and went for it. In my view the one big oversight is no longer being able to share Skill Mods with teammates or randoms, given that if its a lower roll than what you own it will auto-deconstruct it anyway.

After thousands of hours on playing this game I can said than this feature is amazing time saved coz it's fucking boring to deconstructed mod everyday on every activities we can do in this game. It's boring asf. So sorry but I'm not agreed with you.

I’ll be honest, I wish that there was a way it would just save the stat roll to a “crit hit” mod for example that just defaulted to your highest value and you could use that generic mod on every build etc. having to rifle through your inventory because you accidentally left a mod on a mask or chest etc is a pain. I know, super hardcore players will say they had to grind to get there 3 mods with 12% crit damage etc, but was that really fun? lol If you farm it once just make it available, rather than needing 3 of the same mod to fall for example. Free up the inventory, reduce the loot pool a little, and eliminate one more inventory management headache. Just my opinion

in my opinion its a bad implementation of a good QoL thing. There is already a good library system with the Stat and Talent Library, why not expand it with Skill Mods. And make it shareable with my 2nd, 3rd and 4th Char?

Once again this shows how truly ignorant those Devs are. They are 4 character slots so they want me to farm these skills mods on each character instead of collecting them from my main character and then sharing with my other chars.... yeah NOPE!

I really dislike this new feature, @RogueGold if you have any sway or voice with the dev team, please dear god get them to remove this new system, it is terrible. Aside from the loss of procuring Filaments for credits, I had a situation where a party member needed a mod that dropped for me, I already had the exact mod for my Chem Launcher, I picked it up, not even thinking about my fitted mods (that are not sitting unassigned in the inventory anyway) and it vanished, no materials, no mod... because I had the exact same value, exact same named mod fitted in my Chem Launcher, it simply despawned upon pickup. It was a max value skill mod, I had it but my friend did not. Effectively under the new system, to share this mod (because you know, this is a team/community game right?) I would have to had returned to BOO mid Legendary mission, remove the mod from my Chem Launcher, put it back in my stash, returned to the mission, picked it up, drop/shared it to the floor, then returned to the BOO and retrieved it from my stash / perform loadout to retrieve, before finally returning to the Legendary with my team. How is this supposed to be even CLOSE to QoL??? A better system would be treatment of mods the same as firearms crafted mods, they go into a library (like appearance mods) and then take zero physical space in the stash (since we aren't getting additional space anyway) and that way if it drops from loot, it becomes materials instead. Perhaps if we still loot them, we can add them to library same as attributes extracted from weapons/armour we can in the tinker system now mobile, to improve our own mod library OR we could share with our team mate... I am not suggesting Core Protocols be treated in this way, simply the skill mods. While they are at it, they can remove redundant mods like the healing Seeker slot mod, which we get a max value as part of the Specialisation anyway (same slot). Why has the UAT team not been providing this feedback?

Don't gaslight me on this. I have 2 decoy mods that are months old and they are not that great. Since the vanguard season I have not collected or been able to build any decoy mods they are always re deconstructed. I'm tagged in the Ubi support discord as have reporting it and the devs responded they are looking into this bug.

That system is utter crap, it doesn't work. I keep getting duplicates. Once i even picked up 2 skill mods at the same time which go in the same slot for the same attribute. I ended up keeping both meaning the game wouldn't deconstruct any of the 2. Both should have gotten deconstructed as i already had a skill mod with this attribute which was also higher than the 2 new ones. This new mechanic is more a waste of time as at the end of the day, i still have to delete a lot of new duplicates myself. Literally a broken feature which should have never been introduced in it's current state

Oh yes this was a important fix , lets you know not fix pvp , dz size , um nothing to do , yes this was a much needed fix so game changing.. sorry to be rude but i have beem playing this series since beta div 1 ... and they are not fixxing anything that matters the WHOLE time this game has been out .. glad div 1 is still alive

How is it a "perception" when they are literally deconstructing our mods. Idgaf if it give me resources, this is a terrible idea. And it also shows that they just do things without truly understanding their player base. The player should control if they want to deconstruct something or not. 🤦🏿‍♂️

I HATE that they keep arranging and rearranging all of these systems. Just give us a new map and DLC. I've quit playing because I hate this awful proficiency system. Just throwing crumbs at us to keep grinding but we're not actually getting anything.

i hope i understood correctly, but what happened if you farm a mod that is inferior to the ones you current character has, but superior to mods your second character has? If it will be automatically deconstructed, it removes my chance to farm with my main character mods for my second one. (i know its just skill mods, but still..) *Edit: apologies, it is mentioned below by @mightydawg7132

This whole system doesn't work as it should, I have a 4.8% mod in the drone, the damage in the chest was 4.9% and when I took it, it was automatically deleted, and by the way, this game has only errors
