this one page resume thing is sometimes very confusing it keeps us to be limited and concise with our details. For example skills can be of technical or soft so if I will write all of them together as a skill it will be adjusted in space but will congested and not look clear so this is a problem

To recruiters, know that using ATS might feel like an intelligent move, but it is not. Earlier, when such a system was not being used, lot of people who may not have been a 100% match, however, had great skills and potential could be hired. But now with the ATS, a system with pre-defined criteria is deciding whether to pass a candidate or not. This is stupid and ineffective. Now a lot of people who may do a great job in a position despite lack of "credentials"/"degrees" are umable to get a job cos there is no competent human at the other end who may have the wisdom to see the potential of that candidate and give them a chance!!

Thank you so much ❤ ATS is especially used while screening in international job applications. The same pointers apply to all kinds of opportunities where online screening is done using ATS. 1. Most small & medium enterprises don't use ATS - HRs manually screen the resumes. However, with increasing usage of AI, this process will get automated for all organizations in the long run. 2. Yes, it is especially used on LinkedIn because of the nature of the platform. If you look at any job application, it has over 500 applicants, it is not feasible for an HR to manually scan so many resumes (also considering there will be multiple other platforms from where the candidates can apply). LinkedIn's Easy Apply parses the resume using this tech, so must optimize your resume before applying to LinkedIn jobs.
