No, it sucks, bouncing in between 2 categories so I either get dropped in the first 5 min or any vert or get moved down to the next and finish top 5.

Great video. Yes I also love the racing score! I used to have to choose carefully what races I entered so that I could stay with the group. Now it feels possible to do a wide variety of races but you always have to stay alert and try to save something for the sprint.

Thank you. I saw many videos about people not happy, but I see many benefits, as you said, in competing in also races and types of races, stage profile. Ride on 🙌

I love the racing score but for a different reason. I feel that I try harder under this system. I'm a cat C rider and a good race would have at around 3.1 w/kg and I would be near the front. Now I am doing 3.3 w/kg and finish in the middle of the pack. I may not get the excitement of trying to win a race but I get a lot out of my workout just trying not to get dropped 😊

I agree with the fun, and even better the level of improvement that you have. This improvement then will help more on events like the ZRL and the Tour of Watopia with a lot of people starting 💪🔥 rife on!

Well I find it hard to like, but it's because I can't ever aim for a podium. I'm new to cycling and Zwift and in September I was placed to cat C with 2.6 W/Kg. It was not fun to get dropped in the first few minutes. But I put my head down, trained hard and got close to 3.2 W/Kg. Then Zwift introduced the new rating system, which is a lot better, but I was assigned 354 points. So I'm back to where I was, being the slowest of my category, but the leap from 354 points to 520 is gonna be insanely more difficult than from 2.6 to 3.2 W/Kg. I know it's a game, but come on, can I have a little taste of success?

Well done for your increase to 3.2Wkg. The racing score just started but I guess it will be adapted, and the good things is not that is based on Wkg, so in a few time if you are not able to manage to arrive at the front you'll probably lose some points and at the same time the strong rider will gains more and leave the category. In this case there will be more balance, now it depends what you're good at. Sprinter or climber? I see more balance now, but it may take still some time before all will be levelled, I would say a few races every rider

@@crankandsprints It is based on w/kg tho: "For your initial Racing Score-your seed score-we use your max 30-second and max 10-minute power from all activities on Zwift over the past 90 days. After your initial score is set, we’ll continue to use power data from all your activities moving forward, not just races, to help determine the minimum-floor-value for your Racing Score." It looks at all your activities, not just the races...

@@sams247 Well, seems it calculates the overall raw power and w/kg your max 30-second and max 10-minute power from all activities on Zwift over the past 90 days. Let's say example 30 second at 600watts and 10minute power at 300watts. So it does calculates your wattage overall and not the w/kg on those efforts. Even though is not clearly specified
