That Nuxe oil is super pricey, but it smells so good. I was gifted a large bottle of that years ago, and I loved wearing it just out of the shower. When I went to replace it, I had a very rude awakening. Love every Toxic free Grown Alchemist I've ever gotten.

I'm in my 30s and have had KP for as long as I can remember. I used to use a resurfacing cream by Mark Lee's and it smells identical to the first aid beauty one, works the same but the first aid beauty is actually less expensive! I also use it on my legs because I'll get bumpy skin from shaving and it works great for that

I had it really bad when I was younger (37 now) but I still deal with it even now. I used Lac-Hydrin 5 for years, it’s was a miracle in a bottle and cheap! But it got discontinued for some reason and now all these companies are coming out with similar products that cost way way more. Super disappointing! My solution now is to use really intense body scrubs in the shower

Well into my 30’s and still have KP, particularly on my legs! BUT - last spring I started using the CeraVe Rough and Bumpy line - specifically the SA body wash (with a scrubby) and the SA Cream - and this summer was the first time I was happy to wear shorts and skirts! I didn’t even care about my corpse-like pallor, I was just so happy to finally be spot free for the first time since… ever? The best part is they’re drugstore, and even if they’re more expensive than most drugstore body washes and body lotions, they’re nowhere near as expensive as the other stuff that I’ve seen. (They can be hard to find though because they tend to fly off the shelf!)

For me, a bar of African black soap and this scrubby thing called a Japanese towel (I think) has helped a lot with kp. I haven’t tried what she got in the box, I’m sure that would work amazing as well. Just wanted to share.

I also want to recommend olaplex... I have very fine, long hair, that falls out (thanks to a thyroid condition and stress) and it actually has made a difference! My hair is soft, not weighed down and no longer experiencing split ends. Its insanely stupid expensive for the amount you get but you dont have to use that much and I mix it in with my regular conditioner.

I have so much KP I’d go through it in a week. So I buy 90% lactic acid and make my own treatment with my holy grail lotion. I’ve tried other lotions (my fav being 10% glycolic 5% lactic) but I’d then have to use my good lotion later bc most lotion sucks. It’ll feel good but you need to reapply often. So I started making my own. If I could find glycolic acid in bulk the way I’ve found lactic acid, I’d make a glycolic, lactic acid lotion, but my lactic acid lotion is working great. Sometimes for fun I bump of the % and have a nice body peel. (Usually my lotion is around 22% but I do go as high as 30%.) It was daunting at first but once I made it I realized how easy it was.

I noticed when I started to exfoliate with mitts just using my reg shower gel they started to go away but then I had to stop using those mitts. I have RSD in 3 of my limbs (unfortunately it feels like it's going into my last unaffected limbs 😔). I had to stop using the mitts because they would trigger the nerves, especially on my left foot/leg. The amount of pain I'd get just from exfoliating didn't make it worth it for me...

I have very thin hair too, and I love a good mask. The key is to only put it on the ends, and I use it in place of conditioner. I don’t use conditioner and masks, because it would weigh my hair down too much. I put a small amount of the mask on the ends, massage it in, then I put whatever tiny amount that’s on my hands on the hair on top of my head, just to make it easier to brush.

Head & Shoulders works pretty dang good for KP. Someone wrote it on a forum page years ago and it works so I try to spread the word when the topic comes up. Surprised the heck out of me after trying the super expensive lotions. I actually got a little sunburned after because that skin had never seen the daylight 😉 The first time I did it, I slathered it on and left it for 5min and rinsed it off and saw an immediate 70% improvement 🥰 Now I only do it a few times a year during my regular shower.

@@sharroon7574 Someone said it's a form of dermititis which can be many different skin irritations. Head and Shoulders helps with dermititis on your scalp so why not your arms? KP usually means you overproduce keratin (the substance that makes up hair and nails) excessively and it clogs the hair follicles causing red bumps and itchiness.

@@sharroon7574 Just watched a video on dandruff and you're right. It's a reaction to teeny little critters eating the oils off the scalp and people with dryer skin get flakes when the skin cells try to repair the damage. Not sure why it helps with KP though if the causes are different. Hmmm.

I LOVE the First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser scrub. I am 39, I'll be 40 in March, and I have never had nor even heard of KP before. About a year or so ago I started noticing these bumps on the backs of my arms, my skin was super dry and felt so like bumpy and scaley. I found the FAB KP bump eraser from Sephora and fell in LOVE! It cleared up my bumps within probably a week or two and has kept it clear for about a year. Definitely give that a try and Im sure you'll love it as much as I do.

I bought the KP and then got the TrendMood box that also had it in it. Now I just need to actually use it but I feel yeah I’m 41 and I don’t remember having this bumpy problem when I was younger. Yes you should get more in this and many other advent calendars the tiny sample sizes aren’t doing it for me and I don’t get where they are getting the value from with all the tiny products.

Usually advent calendars from the UK are better but I didn't find this one to be that great. Were you able to grab the Cult Beauty one? It sold out pretty fast both times they put it up. But I think it's because people realized that even though it's pricey, it's a really good one. :)

Seems like some of the cheaper calendars have been better over the past years IMO, and more worth the money. I would rather pay a little to get a few things I could use rather than pay a lot for something that I may or may not be able to use. I don't like skin care in an advent because different people have different skin needs and some have super sensitive skin that breaks out at the slightest thing. If there was an advent calendar specifically for clothing, I would be more interested.

That's what I don't understand with these skincare heavy calendars. Changing skincare products frequently can cause breakouts and other skin issues, and everyone has different needs. I would consider most of this stuff worthless to me because I'm not just going to start putting random creams on my face.

@@jenniferp7497 agreed, I can't change my routine much or else my skin goes absolutely crazy. I can only use certain brands and products skincare wise, so other types of advent calendars are more worth the money, since I would actually use the products.

I have the bump scrub. I bought another after I tried it. Just a warning, those little bumps don't ever leave....Teens, 20's 30's, 40's, they just keep on coming back.

That has happened to me once, I received a squeezy tube and there wasn’t anything in it. Only it was in one of my Ipsy bags, but they were so good about it and sent me a new one right away. it was a liquid eyeshadow and I had the same thought when I first picked it up. Like, is this completely empty? Lol

I guess there's a slightly more than zero percent chance, statistically speaking, of a tube or something getting packed and sent out totally empty, which means someone somewhere is going to get an empty product. It just makes us do the double take when we're the one who receives the empty product! (Happened to me with a DVD I ordered recently from Amazon - brand new, still in the cellophane wrapper, with no disc inside. The fact that they both replaced it and gave me my money back says that it does happen. Maybe not often , but more times than zero.)

I use a hair oil from AG Hair Cosmetics on the ends of my baby fine hair before I comb it through after I wash it. It helps the frizz and doesn't weigh it down.
