He received a Barony in 1997, not a Baronetcy. The latter is an hereditary Knighthood with the title Baronet. Lloyd-Webber is a life peer (Lord).

They were working on the score for `Sunset Boulevard` when I lived next door to Andrew and his first wife on W. Eaton Place. Don Black was a friend via Elmer Bernstein (a very good friend) `The Marilyn Scandal` had just been published and I had given Black a signed copy. The biography is as much about the life of Marilyn herself as an ode to the Hollywood starlet. There is more than a little of `Sandra Shevey` in `Sunset Boulevard` as there is more than a little of Sandra Shevey in `Evita`(my feature in `Harpers Bazaar` on Buenos Aires appeared before the show `Evita` was produced)
