Prince EA I’ve been listening to you since Middle School! I’m 18 and graduated now! I don’t have any funds for college because of family stuff so I haven’t been able to pursue my career officially. I want to be a filmmaker, actor and writer. I’ve been making short films and writing for years now and I don’t plan on stopping. Even with all these videos on my other channel, they don’t get any recognition from KZbin to where I could make it a job. I've always been true to myself, from as far as I can remember. My father used to say, always assume the consequences of your actions. And while it felt cliché to go by these quotes your parents say, I decided to go by it, because *I felt* that it was right. That made me resilient, for the consequences of my mistakes were harsh, that made me honest and courageous, for admitting to my faults voluntarily was hard, but in my mind, trying to get away was harder. Trying to get away would have weighed on my mind, not because this is not who I am, I don't know who I am... but I know who I want to be. I know I want to make the people around me that suffer feel helped and listened to, I want to do the things people afraid of stares won't do to inspire them. This is who I was. But one day, I wanted to understand suffering, for I had never known what I believed to be true pain. Not a wound, or an insult. The kind of pain you get when you feel powerless and overwhelmed by the world. The kind of pain you feel when it is your mind that can't overcome the obstacles of life. And so I have felt pain, slowly my life spiraled downward, I lost my smile, I lost my happiness, my marks, the ones I had carved into the person I was creating, they were fading, being obscured. And so next-thing you know, I was in the deepest pits of insecurity, of misery, and confusion. My mind wasn't clear anymore. I couldn't think straight anymore. My actions were not matching my will, but did I know wether my will was even matching my consciousness? I was lost, utterly lost, and I sought help. For the first time in my life I opened internet not to seek a tutorial about how to cook a certain recipe or how to install a certain software... I opened it to seek help on how to be. At that sight I felt defeated, from then on my ego that until then was almost nowhere to be found had taken over, and I cursed myself for ever falling this low. When it initially departed from a benevolent wish. One thing I remember from this period of my life that, mind you, lasted for only nearly 2 years before I managed to start climbing the hill back up... were the words of my mother that, mind you again, I love with every ounce and bits of love available in my heart. She always scolded me for being so different from others, for not being normal, all my life. And I brushed it off by saying "Others are how they wish to be, and I am how I wish to be" (later on when I fell into this depression I found out this was merely half true, I was how I wished to be, but others didn't necessarily wish to be the way they were, for they didn't know any better...) and so when I fell into my depression, I stopped acting so energetic and happy and exploding into joy, and acting like a weirdo, accepting stares, and not feeling ashamed of myself... and this period of my life taught me very much about myself but was the worst part of it to live, it is at this period of my life that I stopped hearing my mother telling me to be normal. She didn't bother to, because I was. I had become what people in society call normal. I was prey to anxiety when I never knew it before, I was prey to shame, self-disrespect, selfishness and anger. But all of this is past, or rather I believe it is present, for that is me, but it is a present I have changed, to grow back into who I wanted to be. I am 19, and the adventure inti self-discovery resumed. Thank you Prince EA from France for coming back every once in a while when you feel the world needs it most. This is not an exaggeration, the world is on internet and youtube, this video only has 121k views as of now and a lot won't watch it. But let's not underestimate the impact such a video can have on the people that watch it, and the impact they can let it make on their life, for these people who seek to better themselves, will, at the end of the day, spread the word to the ones who see them without even needing to utter it. Just by being seen bettering themselves. And so through these people, such messages shall be seen by millions. That is what I hope, and I hope so because I believe the world is shifting. I believe the new generations, including mine and maybe some that came before, are becoming more and more aware. Thanks for reading, good life everyone.
