This is me but a different pov. There's something about that feeling that is deep and somewhat lingers in my reality, then it becomes a reality. I catastrohize, worry, stressed out, and anxious, it overpowers me and that's what it annoys me. But I can cope with it, reminding myself that it's not healthy for me. I stop caring about the feeling, or just accepting it, I let it happen to me, when I let it happen the tension eases out like digesting it. The numbness began to fade gradually and paying attention where I am now and the things around me. That's it, it's not a complete solution tho but when it happens I just let it happen and live in the moment.

There’s a quote I like to say to my friends that helped me. “Don’t worry about what’s going on around you and only focus on what you have right now, because if you think about something other than whats present, you worry and when you worry you panic, and when you panic you start to overstate something understating.” **The only time to worry is if it happens in the present not it happening in the future, because your future is just an end result & Goal of your present, which becomes the past you learn from in your present.** My great grandfather once said 👴🏽 “Don’t worry about something until you know it’s true” and “if it’s to good to be true it probably is…” get it! That lesson is something I learned on my own. The 🧠minds ability to 💢exaggerate💢is the enemy of your own ❕anxiety and ❔depression.

Learn me so much things and so much peace and avoid the mind waves and the evil, and to be present only with the Allah the one and only true God feeling complete feeling whole, safe and strong Alhamudellah

Deep, meditative breath (One good one 6 sec in, 6 sec hold, 6 sec out), prayer (Not for material riches), shadow work, microdosing can help if it is really bad, DBT Skills (like mindfulness and radical acceptance). Gratitude helps a lot, b/c when you are thankful for the clothes on your back, you won't care about not owning a ferrari. Staying off of hard narcotic drugs, exercise, quitting bad habits, get off social media and don't compare yourself with others. Let your thoughts come and go and do not judge them. These are all things I use/have used in the past. I don't microdose anymore, but it helped me a good 6 years ago, a lot.

Underthinking also has its consequences too! We need to learn how to silence our mind as well as learning how to contemplate and think in deliberate ways. Everything our mind does happens for a reason. If we didn’t think, then we couldn’t solve our problems. Overthinking is our minds way of critically thinking things through. The issue is that overthinking is generally filled with fallacies, distortions, and errors in thinking. We just need to learn how to engage in critical thinking rather than self-critical thinking. The most intelligent people are able to engage in high quality thinking, as well as balancing that with stillness.

The sad part is most of my overthinking becomes true. It's like I always prepare for the worst. Though my anxiety goes skyrocket and I get breathless.
@Thetaprobanian8 ай бұрын
Yea well the reason why it becomes true is cause we focus on what’s a probable outcome which turns out to be true, while we were also blind to the outcomes we thought were probable but didn’t happen. In the end the mind tricks us into thinking that we were correct because we overthought , when we had so many other outcomes we did think of as well but didn’t happen. Whatever it is stop overthinking. It’s a delusion.

You don't know how much I needed this video, man. I feel like I messed up with life. I went to college, not knowing what I wanted to do. I chose Psychology as a major because I enjoyed the courses, but I didn't take consider things like jobs and salary enough. I graduated right as the pandemic happened, putting me in a pretty dark and hopeless place. I spent years working as a para, debating whether to pursue a special ed teaching degree. But as much as I enjoyed working with students and making a difference, I felt my energy taking a toll. The higher ups were expecting the impossible from teachers and paras alike, stressing us with deadlines that we could only meet if we had close to no behaviors in the classroom, which just wasn't reality. And the longer I worked, the more I saw how the pay just wasn't worth what I was expected to do, nor would it be if I were a teacher. So three months ago I left. My brother's soon-to-be fiance is a dental hygienist, and she has been encouraging me to become one myself especially because it provides better work-life balance than what I was doing, not to mention the pay is better and I would still be making a difference in people's lives, which is what I really wanted. So now, I work in a dental office as an assistant, learning the ropes, getting a feel of the environment and seeing whether this is something I would want to go back to school for. Fortunately, I would not need to go back for long as I'd only need an associate's degree, and it wouldn't be as costly an endeavor either. But still my mind, being my mind, floods my days with thoughts of insecurity and doubting my future. I've had so many sleepless nights since I left my job as a para. Because that was the first time it felt like I was admitting to myself that I had made a mistake in choosing Psychology as a major-- that I should have waited to go to college, that I should have had a better plan mapped out first. I came across your video today, and the king/counselor story really resonated with me. "All is well and unfolding as it should be," the counselor tells the king. He tells him this even after his barber nearly slits his throat. I would have had the same reaction as the king: angry and flabbergasted. How are things well and unfolding as they should when the barber nearly killed me? Then the story continues, and we see how if it were not for the scar on the king's throat, he would have been eaten over the fire by the cannibals. We do not know what purpose the experiences in our lives have, the good and the bad, the big and the small. Perhaps I will come to learn the value of my journey up to this point in life, with all my individual experiences clicking into place like puzzle pieces and finally making sense to me. Perhaps even now, even as I spend time in this unfamiliar career avenue, feeling lost and helpless almost on a daily basis, I can find the courage to trust that "All is well and unfolding as it should be."
