@ Good question. We do have a judiciary now more politicised than in living memory, so we cannot have full confidence in any judicial process. An inquiry with full powers has to be better than a bunch of councillors and officials marking their own homework, though, and this is what Cooper seems to be setting up. We really need the media to be on their toes during any forms of investigation.

We know that local authorities covered up the behaviour of these men, that social workers failed young girls and police failed to arrest and see through prosecutions. Unless they are summond to give evidence and under oath, produce any reports and supervision notes made then they will not do so. Louise Casey has too much on her hands we need a judge led enquiry and one who is NOT a friend of Starmer. Of course Labour wants to ignore victims he ignored the people of the Chagos Islands!

How will it be evidence based, if they are not covering all areas that have and are being impacted by grooming. They will not have all the evidence of these criminal gangs. Making money off children. It needs to show the patterns, I agree. Because 'Joe Public ' can already see the patterns. Journal articles Lee needs to be written in the grooming of children. It can't be done without significant evidence based practice. Which professionals use, like social workers.
